I went to the Casa Utama building for a meeting at one of the offices there. I got in lift and there was a buck-toothed Indian lady already in there. She had pressed the button to go to B2 which is the hotel reception while I wanted to head down to B3. While inside the lift, she was trying to make small talk, asking me if I was going to the hotel. I answered no. Then she asked me where I was going and I said B3. She then continued to ask me question after question. What am I doing there? Who is it that I am meeting? Why did I want to go to B3? Her stop came but she didn't get off. By now I was feeling really uncomfortable. She followed me down to B3 demanding that I answer her questions. When I refused to, she barked at me " I AM THE PERSON IN CHARGE HERE! I HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASK YOU QUESTIONS! " Now, this person is a complete stranger to me. She did not have any semblance of a uniform on. She did not have a name tag. She did not introduce herself. Even if she had all that, she still does not have the right to harass me. It is MY choice whether to engage in small talk with a COMPLETE STRANGER or not. I do not do so because it is a safety issue for me. I am NOT comfortable sharing anything at all with a COMPLETE and TOTAL STRANGER. I, of course, gave her a piece of my mind and continued on to my intended venue but I could feel her stare at me all the way till I reached the office.
Average boutique hotel. Norhing to shout about. Please improve on cleanliness. Friendly staff.
