Communist style hotel. Old building, everything vibrates and moves around. The rooms are clean enough but they definitely saw better days 20 years ago. Parking is a street away, 5 euro a night. All that said it's a good deal — close to the city center and very cheap for what you're getting.

Clean rooms. Repairs have not been done in a very long time. No sockets in the room. The kettle is given out at the reception (you have to ask). The location is a far cry from the main attractions. Next door is a shop. The supermarket is a 10 — to 15-minute walk away. For a budget holiday for a couple of days is quite suitable.

Hotel near the Old Town, walking about 20 minutes. The hotel staff are very polite, trying to help in everything, at check-in gave a tourist map of Riga. The room chose a single, cleanly cleaned, but the plumbing and tiles in the bathroom are old. Breakfast at the hotel buffet costs 5 euros.

Impressions would be better if our booking would not be cancelled! And we — guests of the city, would not be left without a room. Thank you caring receptionist — the face of the hotel Viktorija! Shame.

The hotel corresponds to three stars. Located 15 minutes from the centre. Breakfast buffet. There's a waifai. Regular cleaning and changing clothes. At the reception you can take a kettle, a hairdryer, an iron. The staff is Russian-speaking. To the right of the front door to the hotel is the entrance to the grocery store. Of the cons: weak sound insulation between the rooms and noise from the street when the windows are open. Motorcyclists who start at traffic lights under the windows are especially disturbed in the morning.

It was that the hot water was gone for half an hour.
And sometimes the Internet disappeared. It's a little tense.
Dinner is good. Everything is delicious. They asked for oatmeal all the time. It's a bit stuffy in the room. But there's a fan.
That's the money of the rules. I thought it would be worse.

I had the best experience in this hotel on my recent holiday to Riga. The hotel is located on one of the main streets to cite centre and has plenty of cafe's, restaurants, shops with frequent public transport that can take you pretty much everywhere you would like to visit. The hotel has beautiful view from outside the window and is also close to town center which is within walking distance and you can enjoy exploring all the beautiful historic buildings under the blue summer sky which will be forever in my memory as one of the best trips abroad. I will definitely visit Riga again as it is such a beautiful city and will try to find bookings in this hotel in my future trips!

Viktorija Hotel is very basic, which is a shame as the rooms are large. The real weaknesses were cleanliness, maintenance, age and the decor of the building. Service was patchy at best. My room was on the 5th storey, and the gap between the lift floor and the hotel floor was large enough to swallow the wheels on my luggage, which I then tripped over. Watch out for it! In the room the floor was gritty, so wear slippers after a shower, my feet were black after 5 minutes. The bathroom was poorly maintained with mould on the tiles in the shower recess, and the tiling was terrible. Three of the doors in the room were so far out of plumb that they swung open by themselves. No coffee and tea making facilities provided, but there was a tiny half-size bar fridge. Television coax cable was so badly connected I had to refit both ends to get a picture. Wiring throughout was bad, with obvious patching and shortcuts taken leaving it exposed. Breakfast was a bargain at 5 euros, but the communal toaster only had two of the four slots working, so there was a queue. It had obviously not been working for some time, as there were worn stickers stating which slots were okay. There was gritty coffee, hot water and teabags, some cold sliced sausage thing, boiled eggs and some pickled veges for breakfast, room temp juice in cartons rounded out the offering. One kind of cereal and a large vat of porridge was offered as an alternative.

The hotel is located in the city center, has its own paid parking. The building is old, the number fund requires repair. The staff greeted the visitors warmly.

Breakfast is not free as described! Didn't look particularly good either! The beds are good, the room very small, but it fulfills the purpose of being very quiet (located backwards)! The shower room very small and already a bit gambly! The beds are not made, but there are new towels every day. The staff rather unkind!
Overall, however, quite central-related, affordable accommodation.

The hotel is close to the old town, I would say it's a 20 minute walk. The decoration is old and remains of Soviet times. The room is clean and does the job. Don't expect luxury. Hair dryer is available. Staff are nice. Wi-Fi works fine.

Cheap hotel near the city center. Dusty outside, dark in the corridors and with neat freshly renovated rooms with high ceilings. No neighbours, but the steps in the hallway are audible. Friendly staff and quaint visitors.

9 blocks from central train station, a Latvian hotel if you prefer a Latvian experience. Very clean. Single room has entry and bathroom in addition to bedroom. Such a bargain I sprung for the €5 breakfast both mornings. So quiet I thought there were no other guests until I went to breakfast.

Very inexpensive, 24-hour reception, there are slippers and it is possible to take a kettle on reception. From the minuses-quite noisy, especially the buzz from the street and thin curtains, not sleep long.

Really great place for a overnight stay! Nice location for public transport and in walking distance of the city's landmarks. Very spacious rooms with a large bathroom. Though the furniture and design of the hotel and the rooms were quite old. You get a lot for a very good price here.

Convenient location center, all near the normal rooms only one room strongly noise aired until the night of the window to the yard very quiet, parking in the yard 5 euros.
Inconvenience: In three local room one Razetka. And the rest is good.

Great hotel near the center of the old town! The location of the room was great. With a small child perfectly rest! Very friendly staff.

The room (217 with street view) was very spacious, clean, comfortable with good heating. The hotel is well located 20 minutes walk from the Bus Central Station and 3 minutes from bus/tram stop. All the staff was great and helpfull. There's a convenience store "Mego" open from 8h/22h right next door from the hotel and in the same street you will find more convenience stores and at 15 minutes walk there's a shopping center wich was great for us because our room did not include breakfast. The room included a kettlle and a mini-fridge and that is of great value for low budget travellers like us. Great Wi-Fi, TV, towels, bath slipers, toiletries and free welcoming hot drink. Great value for money for low budget travellers like us!

The price is good, the location is 20min by foot from the center and the staff is nice, that on the side. The room was a bit outdated and not the cleanest and there was a scent of old in it. If you’re looking for a low budget place just to sleep and go this might be ok.

Not the best hotel but cheap with good services. Room and bathroom are clean.

Budget hotel in the city center. Small rooms. Cozy. The ideal place for tourists cramped in the means. For a modest price you live in the heart of 15 minutes to the station.

My room wasn't so clean but good breakfast and nice staff.

It's not bad… Seemed that rooms on 2nd and 3rd floor were much nicer than rooms on 4th. Bathrooms on 4th floor looked like they were renovated by Soviet Union standards. Carpets had big stains. But for the price it was OK. However the Wi-Fi was awful. Signal was strong, but the speed was nonexistent. I would have given it 4 stars if internet had worked like it should.

Clean sheets and towels. Otherwise the room was a bit dingy. The breakfast was simple but ok. Nice staff.

The hotel isn't exactly dirty, but the interior is damaged beyond the point where you could consider it charming. That goes especially for the rusty pipes. And in addition to that the smell in my room wasn't that great either.

Looks nice and receptionists are always friendly. But particularly our room had a shabby soviet door and the same waredrobe, which looked a bit out of place.

The place has a good location but its quite old and the rooms smells strange. The staff was nice. It was ok for a few days but I wouldn't stay here again and I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Everything about this hotel is good but not outstanding, location is ~25 minutes from old Riga. The room was decent, but furniture and appliances a bit old (size was very good though) The hotel was also undergoing some work so noise/look was a bit worse than it would have otherwise. Service was great. That being said, the price truly stands out. 3 nights at 144 € for suite was a remarkable deal.

It has the basics you need. Good sevice, hospitable people working here. They were very helpful with us. Room was clean, bathroom clean. 10 min from the old town by bus or tram.

Clean hotel but is of Russian orientation with limited Latvian language use. English is understood quite well and therefore managed.

Totally unacceptable. Pretty much the worst Hotel I've ever seen. Dirty, disgusting shower with mold and fungus. Windows that do not close and a unity breakfast, that mocks any description.
