My stay at the Gutenbergs Hotel in Riga was fabulous thanks mostly to the outstanding customer service of Marcis! Marcis was attentive, welcoming, and very accommodating. He knew customer room numbers, quickly brought up more towels when needed, and provided additional bath salts when asked for more than 1 bottle. Marcis was friendly and always had a smile on his face. Kudos to Marcis and other staff members who made our stay at the Gutenbergs Hotel so pleasant!

The hotel is not large but spacious but has a lot of antiques. The restaurant is beautiful — and the kitchen, and the service is beyond praise!

Hotel Gutenberg is very bad. In the hotel rooms a very dirty large layer of dust, as well as in the shower kobin you can find insects that fall from the old beams. The staff at the hotel are not friendly and even I would say angry, as well as the hotel bosses. Breakfasts are very bad and cold. I give 1 star to the hotel. The hotel does not match the four stars. This is the worst hotel.

Old style hotel, good rooms, great brekfast and excelent front desk service.

Located super central and super nice surrounding! Good and various items at breakfast, tasty coffee. Comfy rooms, comfy beds, friendly staff. Hotel is originally old and full of history Because the hotel is old you can hear your neighbour talk, be active in the bathroom etc. Very annoying that it was that noisy!

Very friendly and helpful staff. The Center of the Old town, near the Dome Cathedral. Interesting interior, many antique things. Great service, good breakfast included in the price.

Were in Riga over the Christmas holidays. Gutenberg is a very good hotel. Breakfast very rich and lots of choice. Large rooms in the old building, which are very appealing. Top location right on the market and cathedral.
Would like to come back again.

Great hotel, staff do everything to make the guests comfortable.

Very good hotel located in the historic centre of Riga, close to the main attractions of the city. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. It was a shame that they don't speak Spanish, but are struggling to respond to queries made to them. The food service is good: the breakfast is varied and on the fifth floor there is a good restaurant.

The hotel is unusual. Loved the panoramic restaurant on the 5th floor. Recommend.

A lovely hotel very comfortable and friendly place. Staff pleasant. Restaurant is excellent, service second to none. I would definitely recommend it.

The place is very central, great location, but for what I paid is in the most absolute way too expensive, I expected a structure of a different quality.

This Hotel has a good location within the city, located in a quiet street just metres away from the primary city concourse. The bedroom decoration is a little tired but clean and restful. The hotel restaurant is first class with good quality well presented food. Breakfast was also good with ample choice.

Historic Hotel in the old town. Very convenient to visit Riga old. Overall the hotel has a good standard considering you are talking about an old and renovated place. The rooms are clean although not very large and with some defect to be fixed type old sockets and not working. Good value for money.

Nice atmosphere that matched a stay in Riga Old Town really well. Central location. Friendly, accommodating staff. Would stay there again. Very slow serving on the rooftop terrace though. And the music playing up there was a bit loud for the space.

Only great things to say about this hotel — very clean room, spacious room, bed was ok. The reception staff and the breakfast room staff were superb — knowledgeable, efficient, very friendly and nice. The breakfast was very fresh and delicious.

We booked room for 4 days in this hotel cause our friends were staying in this place at the same time. And that was mistake. Price was quite steep but location was so good that I tought why not. We drove to Riga from Finland and first ofcourse we wanted to park our car. Person at counter told us our options, you can use valet service for 18e per day or park 500m away for littlebit cheaper but only from 8-16 and then we would need to change place further away. We speculated situation for a while and then he said ". Or then park the car right next corner for free and 24\7. Ok. Well that wasn't great start. We got our keys and went to our room in 3rd floor and immediately we noticed damp and stuffed air. Full floor carpeting ofc so we experienced 1000 past visitors all at once. Well window open and some fresh air in. Decour was what they advertise, authentic grandma house and that's fine, some people like it. Gladly shower was big and bathroom seemed clean. Wi-Fi worked well all around hotel. Then we went to terrace restaurant for complementary drinks and they had some local beer and wine so that was fine. We wanted to drink some more but waiter never came back to pick order up even that we went to look for him at the counter. Some kitchen staff said that wait a bit, he will come soon. We waited 15min more but he never came. Breakfast was quite good and had nice selection especially sweet stuff.

The hotel is very cozy. I like everything here. Good location. Interior of rooms with a touch of antiquity. Good breakfasts. It's a good idea to arrive to Riga late in the evening, stay in this hotel and walk around the city center in the night. Price is reasonable.

Huge and lovely bedroom with beams and sloping floors. Tea and coffee making facilities. Loads of hot water and very clean throughout. Fabulous breakfast. Super helpful staff. Restaurant on roof terrace very high quality and reasonable prices… and right in the town centre. Perfect!

Great hotel overall normal experience. Clean, neat, orderly, friendly staff, breakfast excellent. But still, the 4 star falls short. Located in the Centre, but on a narrow inner street types just don't. But if you aim to settle in the Center, then perhaps it is a very good option.

Cheated. Ordered one room, and gave the other. Not preduperdili, forced about 3 hours to wait, and then postavilm before the fact. Just silently took in some Cress in another building. No one was going to apologize.
