Very cozy. The staff is welcoming and offer a great service at a low cost. The hostel is incredibly well located in Tokyo, a 5 minute bike ride will get you to the Sky Tree. Also quite close to the metro station. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo on a budget!

The place is nice and practical. However we had to use the mixed room on the top floor (no bathroom) and being summer the room was very hot.
Rooms on lower floors (gender-exclusive) are more comfortable.

Basically if you took a geek, a nerd, and an otaku, had them renovate a traditional Japanese house and then a French owner bought it, that's what this is. A little odd, but very nice.

It a nice place quiet and clean I recommend this place if you want to stay for a short time and want to be close to the city.

Nothing high end but for the price, definitely good place to stay. If you are traveling on a budget, you could stay in capsule hotel but if you are staying for a while aizuya is just as cheap (if not cheaper if staying in bunk bed room) Staff members also speak multiple languages (English Japanese Korean French Chinese) so you can get help easily!

First guesthouse for my first trip to Japan. Great clean place with a very affordable price. The staff speak French, they gave me advice for my visits very helpful. A little out of the "center" but nothing dramatic. Great for getting to know other travelers.

Location wise it is good and the neighborhood is like a typical Japanese one that you see in some TV series such as Doraemon which I really liked much. In this place, I have learned and challenge myself with their shower. I stayed in a dorm room and there is no shower in it and to take a shower you need to pay 100 yen for 5mins (like a vending machine) though toilets are free. At first, it was really hard to do it within 5mins but I challenge myself you need to focus and plan very well and be quick as possible after the first try then on I manage to do it within 5 mins or even less. For me, this is a great experience that you will never experience elsewhere. Also, free breakfast in a typical Japanese dining table is really cool. Overall this is a heaven for backpacker considering the price and what you entirely get.

Very nice accommodation. Rooms feel Japanese with Tatami floor and futon mattresses. Aizuya is set up as a hostel. With bathrooms at one end of each floor and showers on main floor. Very close to metro station makes it a quick trip to downtown Tokyo. The room rates are one of the best you can find anywhere.

The rooms are small but it is a really nice place that close to the train station. Very good price.

I understand the small space thing. But super wet blanket and damp bed? Horrible.

Excellent and friendly staff! Breakfast included makes this hostel a great bang for your buck, would highly recommend! Only downside is location. It was 10 minutes away from a train station, but the train station was very small and took very long to get to popular destinations.

Good location, easy to find and close to the station. We sent our bags here ahead of time through a Takkuhaibin service with no problems. The rooms are small but just fine as a base to sleep in. The interior of the hostel is clean and quite charmingly decorated. The little DVD player and DVD rental service was really appreciated as a relaxing form of entertainment for the evening. No problems with the service — the front desk is sometimes unattended for a short period of time but we had no issue with it. For those with heavy bags, please bear in mind that you will have to climb up stairs to get to your room and there is no elevator.

Very comfortable and lovely hostel! The Team is very nice and helpful and gives you information you need on your trip in Tokyo. Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our stay. We booked the Aizuya Inn Hostel this year again, Looking forward!

What an excellent experience for my first time ever staying at a hostel. Despite my tall stature, the accommodations were very comfortable. Thank you to Yoko-san and Yu-san for the kind conversation, and hospitality. The location is awesome for sightseeing, and the neighborhood also featured excellent cuisine! Great family-run Hostel. Clean and tidy. Small Breakfast Offering. Room clean, only unfortunately without large storage facilities for Luggage! Shower costs extra : — (if only 100 yen/5 minutes. To reach the railway station on foot easy to. Great quiet area. Highly recommend to you.

A welcome perfect with a host who speaks french, English and Japanese. The place is clean and well maintained, there is everything need on-site, the quiet neighborhood with a kombinis and a very friendly izakaya two not!

Very nice hostel, free bikes, free breakfast, only 7min walking to the next station, and friendly people! The internet connection is not the best and has low latency in almost all rooms I've been :) It is working though, and does its job.

Slightly better than the previous hostel I stayed at. However, they aren't all that cheap compared to a hotel. While they don't charge as much initially, they try to get as much extra out of guests by charging for things like showers and internet.

Great location, great price, great atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff, offers a lot of services. Only inconveniences: the rooms are very small, Wi-Fi works only in the common room.

I just checked out from Aizuya Inn today and as I reach the airport, I just found out that I left my phone in the room. We make an immediate call to check with the hostel and thank God that it's in their good hand and willing to help me to courier the phone back to my hometown in Malaysia. I really enjoyed my stay here although we have to move to another room due to some issue. I will be staying in this hostel again if I go to Tokyo in the future.

Myself and 2 mates from NZ stayed here for a week and found it to be a fantastic little place to stay. The management was most helpful in giving us info on the nearby attractions and public transport. We all had big snowboard bags and found 3 of us fitted in a room ok enough. Wifi was perfect, showers amentities etc all spot on. Price was on par for what it offered and location was close enough to the subway. Cheers heaps, much appreciated.
P. S accidently left a pair of high top Gstar shoes in the show rack, help yourself!

Japanese style bed room, simple but ok. You have your own heater and climatisation in the room. Quiete place and also friendly with the common room downstairs. Free Wi-Fi, but you have to pay 100 yen for 5 min shower, witch is a ok price. You have the choice between privace or common bed rooms. The price is really good for almost downtown Tokyo. You only have to walk less than 5 min for the train station.

Great place, excelent atmosphere, 99% all the staff was really kind and friendly ;), close from metro and train, I also met great people there and I know my experience in Japan wouldn´t be as great if I stayed anywhere else! thanks a lot.
