A delightful and very comfortable place with all the services available, the staff works with a lot of dedication but to improve there is always the possibility, given the particular feature of the building …

Beautiful place and breathtaking view, knowledgeable and kind staff. Hotel spread in a medieval village that for me is the top. I also love the rooms. I've been here for years. Also suitable for families but I go there with my husband, romantic getaway, without my daughters and nn never disappoints me.

Fantastic five days brake good food and helpful staff however a car is must as this hotel is isolated from any amenities.

Staff a bit frosty but location, views and rooms excellent! The castle has a nice charm!

Beautiful internal and external structure very characteristic. Advertising the deceptive websites on the indoor pool which is non existent. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are heated to the unlikely 30 degrees are really too many… unbreathable. Beautiful outdoor pools but only in the summer. Structure suitable only for couples in love and the elderly… families with children better elsewhere. The SPA always full which I could not try. All in all the kitchen is quite acceptable though to elevate as the prices of the stay are high for the services. We stayed from 24:30 until 9:30 the next day enjoying only 2 breakfasts and a dinner but we also had to pay meals not consumed. A discount could also do that… grubbers. CMQ with some foresight you could elevate the level… non-existent attractions in the area, so equip yourself thanks.

Excellent well run facility. When you arrive you immediately notice the beauty of the small village that composes the entire Relais. Lovely the view that is all around. Suitable for a pleasant stay in all relax both in two and in the family. Excellent cuisine, elegant, the proposed courses are all linked to enhancing the products of the Territory.

Hotel created inside the old medieval castle of the small village of Canalicchio. If you happen during the first of May you can attend the Folcroristica Medieval Festival of Torchlight.

Nice and cozy, the place is gorgeous and the rooms quiet. Mine also had the balcony. But the structure is affected by age and it would serve maintenance. All extras are paid and you are not enticed to do extra activities. It is very isolated from neighboring countries. Ultimately it is suitable for foreigners who are placed poolside and do not move throughout the holiday. In fact most of the guests were foreign. Kitchen without too much taste.

Food was amazing, staff was very atentive, room were spacious and clean. A view you would die for. Wonderful experience.

This place is a small castle. It's amazing. The view is spectacular, the people are so friendly and the building itself is beautiful. The room is very simple but has a great window view. The bed and service is good in the room. My only issue is that the breakfast is poor. Specifically the coffee. They use an automatic machine and it stinks, especially if you're in Italy and want a real Italian coffee.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting away from everything. The view from our room is never ending. The staff has been more than helpful with anything we need, including helping us plan our excisions. The room itself is very basic and plain, but clean.

What a spectacular setting. Set high in the mountains with amazing views. My husband and I were there for 7 days. We rented a car and toured Asissi, Perugia, Terni, Orvieto. We took the cooking class wirh Luigi and Guiseppe. It was great! Followed by a wine tour at the local Baldassari Vineyard. Also given by Luigi aka Mario! Anorher great afternoon. The restaurant is great and the breakfast is also very good. The reception staff is very helpful and accommodating. We experienced the Umbria region food and wine which is extraordinary. Definitely recommend a stay at Relais il Canalicchio.

Fabulous food very professional staff through out. Amazing views. Room beautiful. Pool well kept big sunshade umbrellas. The dining on the terrace is without doubt the best we have experienced sunsets out of this world.

Last day today. Myself & my hubby have had a fantastic stay, if you love to find a quite spot you can with beautiful scenery and sunsets this is for you. But if you like to do other things like we do you will need a small car fiat 500 we hired to travel round and boy have we. Perugia, Spello, Orvieto, and another 6 places as well as Tuscany which is beautiful. The best part about the hotel is how laid back it is breakfast is 8-10 and evening meal is 7.30 — 10 which is on the terrace with view of the sunset. Louigie the head waiter is great fun and the wine waiter who looks like manwel the waiter from faulty towers are the best It's not a place for children or teens. But we enjoyed it so much. Great place xx.

Utterly beautiful. If you're looking for lively crowds and wall to wall entertainment, you won't find it here. If like me you're looking to recharge your batteries in an oasis of calm, with endless views accompanied only by the sound of birdsong and cicadas, locally sourced food and wine and plenty of quiet corners… well, it's paradise. It's an authentic and beautifully restored castle, where life has a slow pace. No big sell for the spa or the cookery school or the trips but they are there if you go looking for them. It's a magical place for peace-seekers like me and I'm already planning a return visit!

Had the best time ever staying in your magnificent castle. Food was outstanding & the Friday night barbecue was over the top fun! Can't recommend it enough to anyone traveling to Italy!

So far, the only thing I've hated about this facility is the service for dinner on the first night we were here. Luigi is the head waiter for dinner and I must say that this 6'5" Frankenstein was the rudest waiter I have ever seen. The 4 of us waited over 1 3/4 hours just to be served. We saw 5 other tables (some 2 persons & some 4 persons) come and go before we were even seen by the waiting staff and when I raised my hand to let him know we were still waiting, he rudely shouted across the room saying that he will back in a few minutes then he proceeded to ignore us for another 30+ minutes. The meal was a 3 course meal (which was served over the next 45 minutes! )! The food was first class… can't say the same for Luigi! So, for the first day, EVERYONE else has provided GREAT service… it's a shame Luigi stepped in to try his best to ruin the moment! We planned to be here for 1 week. I'll give you further follow-ups as the week progresses!

We have just had a fabulous week at the Relais il Canalicchio, a Fleetway travel bargain. We hired a car, and this made the difference as the hotel is wonderfully isolated. (I would strongly recommend hiring a car) The hotel is a stone built, hill-top hamlet taken over as a hotel/ apartments. Therefore the inside is quirky and old. It seems that there are many adaptations for people with mobility problems, but mobility problems need to be mentioned at booking stage, as there are many different levels. The food was good, and the chef would willingly adapt a menu for me (a vegetarian) The view from the hotel is stunning, and we were fortunate to have a sunny week. I would recommend this hotel with the following add-on… Hire a car, and mention any mobility problems. We will go back asap x .

The relais is very nice rooms are spacious clean and comfortable but the Spa are money down the drain is small and uncomfortable. Don't go there.

Charming though with poor management. Very nice property architecturally is almost abandoned. Restaurant to avoid. Cleaning a bit approximate.

The place is beautiful but unfortunately the hotel is handled really so bad. The Peacock Restaurant in the Relais is really poor from a culinary point of view. The dishes are made from raw materials of very low quality, are bland dishes and do not avviicina nor Italian nor the Umbrian cuisine. We also had massages in the spa and we paid 40 euro for a massage that was supposed to last 40 seconds, but it lasted only 25 minutes! room cleaning service is crude and very slow considering that after 14 our room hadn't been redone! Very romantic place at least until they change management!

A beautiful structure. It seems to go into a small town. Ample parking, great staff always available, two fine swimming pools, restaurant good and pretty cheap. Only fault is perhaps that access to the SPA is 20 euro.
