The location is excellent and very comfortable to visit the city. Kind staff and double glazing at the windows (allowing a great soundproofing).
However, the hotel is affected by the inexorable passing of the years. Old-fashioned and with uncomfortable beds and pillows. Bath and indefinable towels. Noisy air conditioning and not impeccable cleanliness.
To see Siena the location is really enviable.

The food at Garden restaurant left a lot to be desired though. We really didn’t enjoy it.
Room was clean and well maintained for our stay there. However with all hotel rooms there are never enough hanging space in bathroom or storage. And pillows were very hard and flat!
But I would stay there again.

Bad value for money. In the bathroom the shower lost so much that it had to change the room, mini-fridge non-existent and where there was broken, very dated sanitary, very dated air conditioner that did not cool even after 5 hours of operation and that made a noise that it doesn't make you turn a blind eye at night, opening the windows you were assailed by the noise of the cars passing over the provincial under the room. Non-functioning TVs, small rooms and very little spacious. For a hotel from 75 euros per night you certainly don't expect this but anything but anything. Bad stay.

Eng: The hotel is great, each room has a bathroom and there is breakfast, lunch and dinner. There's also a garden with lots of tables for eating. The hotel is outside of Siena, but it is right next to the escalators which take you to the city. Ita: L'hotel è bello, ogni stanza ha un bagno e c'è colazione, pranzo e cena. C'è anche un giardino con tanti tavoli per mangiare. L'hotel è fuori Siena, ma è proprio davanti alle scale mobili che ti portano in città.

At the gates of Siena, just in front of the escalators leading up downtown. It therefore remains a 12-minute walk from Piazza del Campo, but sheltered from the noise that you sometimes hear on summer's hours from the windows of more central hotels. Good breakfast. A very pleasant garden and a small indoor bar allow for moments of relaxation in company. From the owner to the waiters to the floors, all always courteous.
Nice hotel located just outside of the historic center, right in front of the escalators that take you downtown. It is at a 12 minutes walk from Piazza del Campo, but in a quiet corner. Good continental breakfast. A nice garden and a small bar offer a place where to relax outside your hotel room. Staff always polite and helpful.

The hotel is agreeable, not to far from the center of the city, thanks to a free escalator in front of it. Nevertheless, the parking is ridiculously small and it's hard to park there.

Excellent location for those travelling by car: private parking and escalators to the historic centre at 50m. Nice and friendly staff The room should be renewed: bed squeaking a lot, no bidet and in its place shower with which to rinse directly on the toilet (hand shower that, however, did not work). Breakfast to pay apart at 7, €5 apiece that we did not try.

Right next to escalator (automatic stairs) heading to old town which seems to be the biggest advantage. The hotel has it's own parking free of charge for customers. Rooms are not too good but beds are very comfortable which makes it even. The only thing that could improve is breakfast. Very limited range of meals. Staff can bring a warm meal, like scrambled eggs, when asked, but not always and not to everyone… Looks a bit like they favour ones above others. Also, sometimes they seem to not notice when called.

Stayed here for a month a year ago while studying abroad! It was so nice very welcoming environment! Miss it very much!

It is located in Siena purely medieval city. We missed the night of April 29th. The room in style with clean bathroom and suitable for the need. In the contact at the reception Mrs. Ra Moira was very kind and competent. Clean and cozy is located about km. 1.5 from the historic centre accessible for 300 meters with escalators located in front of the hotel with parking. We're here about 14.30 but the kitchen served us the same lunch. We chose on paper eating great. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. In the evening dinner is always at noon if there are more bookings. The breakfast is very good If you decide to visit Museo Duomo or else you have a unique ticket to the tourist office… We were happy and will be back.

We stayed one night at this hotel. Very clean. The rooms with the private bathroom are well kept. There is free parking or the possibility to park your car indoors. The location is very convenient because it is near the escalators that lead directly to the historic centre of Siena.

Modern is just the name the property is outdated. Breakfast is just enough. The room was clean and the location is great. With the escalators in 5 minutes of is at Piazza del Campo.

A little ' to revisit as a style of furnishing I dare say that retro a bit ' dissonant among the various elements of the room but the important thing that I appreciated is the great cleanliness! Good value for money And Festeggiamolo This New Year's Eve in Siena.

Excellent location north of Siena with various possibilities of entrance to the city. Varying and with professional waiters who speak fluently more languages. Spacious room with all the onrushing especially in the bathroom, and every day is cleaned and towels and soaps are replaced. Great place to stay and spend a pleasant stay!

Nice and classic ambience with large waiting/relaxation room. The hotel is divided into 2 floors, my room was for 3 people with double bed and one single. Spacious room and comfortable bathroom with a spacious shower.

Very nice staff, almost family. Hotel a bit dated and radiators to the maximum but still average and location extraordinarily close to the center. To go back.

Great clean, modern rooms. Fast Wi-Fi and even a fridge! Free parking with a bus that goes right to the Vatican. You can buy bus tickets in the gift shop.

Prices. Rooms Poor breakfast. Excellent location to reach the center of Siena in 5 minutes with the escalators.

A little bit old, very convenient for a tourist trip but away from the station. Wi-Fi Terrible. Overall stay positive, breakfast plentiful and rooms comfortable but a little dated. Difficulty for a socket to recharge the phone.

Nice location next to escalators taking you straight in to old town. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Only drawback being August and 37degrees the aircon was not sufficient.

Great location on the outskirts of Siena with the town centre only a few minutes walk away. Although the rooms could do with updating, they were clean and well presented and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful.

Parking was a little awkward, but it worked. Unload at the front door and ask the reception where their second lot is located. Friendly staff… great English.

The hotel is located in a perfect location for easy access to the city center. While not overly fancy or modern, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The most outstanding thing about this hotel is the staff. They are excellent! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. I spent 5 weeks in this hotel and plan to spend another 5 weeks again next summer.

The structure is dilapidated, require really a complete renovation and for more I find it absolutely indecent to charge a room 75 euros. The furniture is absolutely demodè, the bathrooms have indecent sanitary and black shower curtains not to mention the breakfast room. Mean. To forget!

Exceptional hotel, breakfast at will and dinner almost the same. Wonderful despite some beds with mattresses where we feel the bed rooms. Wi — Fi is captures in the rooms but becomes long when many people connect to it. Hospitality is great and the servers doing their job. The showers are hot and adjustable with a mobile head. The price is about € 100 but he y' has a great value for money.

It seems old-fashioned but turns out to be very comfortable and familiar. Is in front of the escalators that lead up to the center. In a few minutes you're there without tiring. Has a garage and public parking to the side. The breakfast very good. Good restaurant.

The availability and the welcome for the animals. … we have two Pugs and 7n cat we were greeted with enthusiasm and given a proper room. … we had for dinner … We loved it. …

We booked on the phone agreeing on a discount rate as it was a family trip and we booked more rooms. However, when we paid at the end of the stay, the price was different (+15 euros/night). Even if you get a good rate guaranteed, I would think twice as the quality of the hotel does not correspond to its 3 starts: the doors are very thin, so that in the room you can hear everything that is going on in the corridor. The general sound proofing is really bad, we could hear everybody around us (and they probably heard us). This meant being awake at night because someone else was moving in/out (yes there was lots of movement). The furniture and covers are quite old. The bed was squeaking badly at every turn. I am sure there is better quality around in Siena, I would dissuade a friend from staying in Hotel Moderno.

OK, so, we arrived and we wanted to put our car in the "garage" for 10 euros per day. It comes out the garage is just a small tunnel where you have to put your cars in a queue. The door of the room is a joke, both for security and noise-wise: you will hear EVERYTHING from anyone that walks the corridor — don't think you can sleep without some proper ear plugs. At the second day we returned in the afternoon and they complained we did not leave the car keys. We kindly explained no one asked for this. Well, it came out that in order to make another customer move their car into the garage they called a towing truck! The personnel was also very rude and they wanted to make us pay for their error. After discussing with the owner, they agreed it was their responsibility. BUT, on the day we had to leave, they made us pay 15 euros more in comparison with what we agreed on the phone and they surcharged a small dinner we had the first night! So, not only our car was moved with a towing truck because they are incompetent, but they also reversed the cost to our staying! These guys are amateurs to say the least, but they are also rude and unprofessional. For that price better staying in the real Siena city center. Avoid if you don't want to have a bad taste of your Siena trip.

A nice stay in this hotel that welcomed us kindly even having arrived to a time impractical, the friendliest, but the biggest surprise was the morning when we Valentine and went down to breakfast, a beautiful buffet including a chance to sample the typical Sienese treats, the escalator near the hotel did find us in an instant in the center of siena. Thank you for all your kindness and hospitality.

Great welcome. I was with a group. Meals good. Excellent breakfast with milk and coffee not dali distributors. Convenient to downtown with escalators. Parch bus. Very courteous from reception to the waiters and housekeeping. Thank you.

Simple clean rooms. Delicious food courteous staff! The flowers in outside restaurant garden very poignant and aromatic. Very close to Sanfrancesco Church.
