Maison Étoile Hotel

Wonderful! Really clean room and the kitchen upstairs which you can use. We personally just had coffees in the kitchen but it was warm and friendly for preparing food. The lady who runs the place was really kind and helpful, she printed off some tickets for us to take into the museums in Florence. The location was quiet and peaceful. Really lovely place to stay!

Save Money & Energy — Rather Book a Hotel 1) hot water not available at night of 9th July. On 10th July, host informed us that there was water pipeline break and city is fixing it. But we faced water issue on 9th, 10th and 11th. 2) both bedrooms on the 1st floor (Gr + 1 floor). There is no elevator or lift… We had to carry all our luggage thru stairs. It's not written anywhere on their description. I called & emailed many times to confirm, but host didn't confirm this. 3) we booked a "Room with Private external bathroom". Bedroom on 1st floor and bathroom is on the 2nd (Gr + 2) floor. Again, not mentioned anywhere on their description Kitchen is also on the 2nd floor (Gr + 2). But there is another 3rd room underneath kitchen. So we were told to be gentle and not make much noise. 4) Tried to clarify these points via email before we missed the cancelation window but we never got the reply. 5) The street parking is 1.5 Euro / hour and it is free after 8 pm. But the host told us that the rate is 2 Euro / hour and it is only for resident. Which is not true. Host wanted to sell his private parking for 15 Euro / day, which we had to buy due to lack of honest communication from host. 6) owner is the old lady who lives on the ground floor. She doesn't speak English. Her son speaks little English, but he doesn't live on property, so we have to communicate on phone.

Lovely clean building with artistic decoration. Super clean and modern. Only, they may want to upgrade the uncomfortable sofa bed in the 4 person room.
