Clean large rooms but the noise from the kitchen outside is horrible. Should also have better signs outside of the hotel. Took us a couple of turns around Florence to find it.

Very comfortable and quaint hotel. Amazing location very close to train station, restaurants, leather market, and Duomo! Amazing friendliness and hospitality for all questions and parts of the stay. Delicious breakfast with tasty pastries and fresh honey and cafe. Spacious bedrooms and even better bathroom and amazing shower. Room did have AC but did not get very cool and mosquitos in room left some going away presents. Would stay again especially since it is in easy walking distance to all major sites (not awful trek to Michaelangelo piazzale)

Had low expectations very nice modern elevator Wi-Fi air conditioning breakfast. Only the bathroom very small. Recommended.

Very well located, this small hotel is very close to the train station and the main monuments of the city centre (Church of San Lorenzo, Duomo, Palazzo MEDICI RICCARDI, Galleria dell Academia). There are plenty of good little restaurants nearby as well as the leather market and the covered market. The breakfast buffet is good and plentiful. The staff are in the small care.

Perfect! Very well placed hotel near the center. Access to the main sites on foot. The hotel with impeccable service sheets replaced every day housekeeping also makes the note in addition is for the hygiene products "green" The staff is charming, helpful, smiling. I highly recommend.

Nice but the room narrow, the bathroom too tight, after you take a shower you can not dry. Good attention. Breakfast without typical products.

Fabulous! A street that does not pay for mine (especially with the works nearby), but an ideal location close to the train station and the Duomo district. A lovely welcome (and in French), a superb room (which bathroom! ), a quality breakfast with an important choice. No complaints, perfect!

We had a small apartment with two floors, was fun and cozy, the water pipe lines were a little noisy, other than that it was a lovely hotel, amazing location, close to the station and the main attractions in Florence.

We just stayed at the Hotel Cosimo de' Medici while in Florence and could not have been happier. We were welcomed warmly at the front desk and really made to feel special, even though I could tell they were extremely busy. Our room wasn't quite ready yet as we had arrived earlier in the day, so we spent the afternoon wandering around Florence. When we came back we were once again greeted with a smile and shown to our room. To our surprise, the room was actually on the back side of the hotel and we were informed it was the largest room in the hotel! It was a large room with a loft and it was perfect! It had a heavy gated door so we were secure, and the courtyard it was in was extremely quiet and private. The air conditioning was ice cold and the room included a refrigerator, sink, microwave and a table with chairs. Downstairs it contained two day beds and the upstairs loft included a double bed with dresser and lamps. It really was perfect for our needs. The hotel is located literally around the corner from train station, it took us all of 3 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. Our room also included the breakfast and we were happy with what was served. The fair ranged from pastries to meats and cheeses to yogurts. The lovely lady manning the breakfast area was extremely helpful and very sweet. Absolutely loved our stay there. You won't be disappointed.

Hotel in the heart of Florence, one minute from Santa Maria novella train station. Nice and clean rooms, reception are all nice. The only drawback is the noise of the rooms that they give on the road.

Expensive for what it is, the appearance of the photos of Booking do not resemble reality. Good attention on the part of the employees.

Very good hotel. Staff are friendly and have a sense of service. Comfortable and spacious room. Very clean. Breakfast Only downside the soundproofing of the rooms and the lack of carpet, everything is understood.

Rated 4 in terms of value for money. The hotel is not spectacular in any sense but we were well looked after and concerns were addressed quickly. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was as you'd expect. The real selling point fire this hotel is it's location. In sight of the station and within 5 minutes of Florence's landmarks, you'll never have to spend anything on transport.

The reception was very nice. However, the hotel is very old and our room was dark and not clean. The shower in the bathtub was an imposition. The water in the sink did not expire. We didn't put things in the cupboards. The breakfast was Spatanisch. When we came there was often a lot of empty and was not redefined. Selection was little. I would not book this hotel room again.

The location is very good as it is a few meters from the train station. The staff is very friendly and willing. Regarding the service I would say that there is a good relationship between price and quality. Our stay at the hotel was very nice.

We have found the hotel very easy, its just 3 mins walk from the train station. Very clean and not much noice outside at night as some people said. Breakfast was not ok. The rest is fine, we only went For sleep so you shouldn't expect more. If we go next time, would stay at the same place.

It was an awesome experience. Breakfast was super duper. The rooms was very neat and clean. Washrooms was also very clean. The staffs were friendly. They helped us. There was a small balcony in the room. The view of the street was good as seen from the balcony. But the room was small not so big enough. Total homely atmosphere. The hotel was ideally located for access from the main train station and to attractions, restaurants and pick up point for tours. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean. Unfortunately the room was very small — approximately 14 square metres including the bathroom. It was the smallest room we have experienced during our 5 week holiday. The 2 single beds were end to end as the room was not wide enough for them to fit any other way. The bathroom was also very narrow and this made it extremely difficult to dress after a shower.

The location is very good. When you exit the train station, cross the street and walk 80 metres to the hotel. This is a few 5 or 6 blocks from the cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in the Piazza del Duomo. The room is not big nor small is adequate, ours had a balcony and a system of double doweled that isolated acoustically from the outside. The bed large and very comfortable. The bathroom is clean and correctly located the fixtures plenty of water and at the desired temperatures. The aisles spotlessly clean. Very friendly staff. The perfect breakfast to have panquequera. Would return to this hotel which is recommended 100%

Excellent service and very good room, especially that we came suddenly to ask and they had availability. Well decorated and located a few meters from the train station in Florence, very central.

The Hotel staff was very nice and the room was clean. The location of the hotel is pretty clsoe to the train station which helped us a lot since we were travelling a lot. On the other hand, it is also close to the Duomo and the erst of the city. Since you do not need to have a car or use the publiv transport in Firenze, Hotel Cosimo de'Medici seems like a viable and good option.

The rooms, cleanliness, breakfast, very close to the train station, and then the staff very friendly always available whenever we needed.
Sure we will be back next year.

My experience at the Hotel was not a normal one, and it was so lucky for me that my awful illness happened in the care of such thoughtful and helpful hosts. I got the traveller's nightmare and experienced a nasty stomach illness the night we first arrived. I must have caught it before I came to Florence. The staff, changed my bed, let me sleep as much as a I liked, and made sure I had fresh linen, had plenty of boiled water on hand etc, and was comfortable. They never made me feel embarrassed, and were always polite and keen to assist. Thank you staff. A week later when I felt over it. I really appreciated all their advice and assistance.

Very good hotel. The location is great, near the train station. There are good restaurants around. The bedroomsecond are a good size but the bathroomsame are a little small. The staff is the best, Very kind people. Oh and they have a elevator if you need one. I would g9 back.

We looked at many hotels before choosing, and as soon as we saw the Cosimo de Medici struck us immediately … for the location, the rooms very nice and … even for a great price! Ilaria greeted us immediately at home, and even the rest of the staff are always very kind and helpful! The rooms are even more beautiful than in pictures … and spotless! Wi-Fi the best I've ever experienced in a hotel! When we return to Florence I don't know, but it certainly will be at Cosimo de Medici!

The Hotel is located in a magical place, with rooms perfect. If I have to put some downside, is that there was little variety in the breakfast, otherwise, perfect!. I would repeat without hesitation.

The best experience of my life. One feels at home by the warmth of the team, cleaning, its owner Esteban has great humility, Rita in the breakfast room is a Sun with capital letters, the reception during the day incredible team, his great night receptionist.
Location: the best! Just steps from Santa Maria Novella and steps from Renaissance Wonderland. I dream of return!

The front desk's attitude was not good but the rooms were nice. The waitress in restaurant didn't allow us to use the big table when we carried lots of bags. But the restaurant was literally empty. It was near to the train station so it was convenient. 3 stars are enough…

Room quiet and clean. Only known for a single room is that really so much single.

Due to the old buildings within the hotel, at the end of the 2 layers, some complex, but the front Desk service attitude is good, feel that all is not what too big problem, location very good, away from the attractions very close, the nearby several Chinese restaurants.

This place was amazing! We checked in very last minute due to train cancellations and bad weather, and they were wonderful! It was almost 2am and they let us in, set us up, and were just so helpful. Our room was very cute and clean, with loads of space, breakfast in the morning was really good, and checkout was very easy. Totally recommend!

I loved the hotel, the treatment of the people, all-excellent.

The best experience ever! The location is perfect! Simple but good breakfast, very clean, it is close to everything, just 20 minutes walking to Vatican. But what makes this a great hotel is really Mr. Domenico, this is far from a 5 star hotel but Mr Domenico makes it 6 stars. Everything thing you might need he is there to help you out. I will definitely stay again in this Hotel again. I saw some people complaining about noise, and others small little issues, for those people I recommend staying at home. And just to mention this Hotel has an attraction that no other has : Dona Marguerita.!

We enjoyed our stay and loved the tranquil beautiful location. Staff was really helpful and courteous. Florence is beautiful. Room allotted to us was very good. Breakfast was good and staff who attended us during breakfast was very active and cheerful lady. Suggest, Since many asians are visiting, if possible try to include some Asian dish in your breakfast menu.

I don't like when anybody have axcess to my car at the parking place. The parking spots are very tight and I was worryed about other drivers demageing my car. (one day when we come back from the city tour the care parked front of as was so close the bumpers where tuching) Internet connection was to complicated and did not work. The staf was kind, breakfest is good, rooms are nice, location is great. I missed a bar at night.

Like — Front desk is able to communicate in English, but limited — Room is clean with heater coils (good for drying your clothes overnight) — Very nearby the train station Dislike — No hot water boiler in the room — The waitress in the cafe doesn't allow us to occupy the table of 4 despite the cafe is practically empty — The cappuccino was quite bland and the breakfast selection is rather limited.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel has an excellent location and a more than reasonable breakfast. Two minor problems: one has to leave one's key at the front desk when going out — fine. But it happened that one day I came back and there was no one in reception. I rang the bell but no one came. After a few minutes, I took the key to my room, went up, left there some items, came back down again — and still there was no one in reception. I put the key back in its place. There is no full length mirror in the room — a problem for the ladies.

The location is strategic, close to the train station and the historic centre of the city, a few steps from all the monuments. The staff is friendly, the rooms very well (as the rest of the property) and extremely clean and order. I have never been so well in a structure. Congratulations.
