It does what it says on the tin. It's a clean place to stay; close to the train station and all tourist activities. Housekeeping staff is incredibly friendly. It lacks of comfort and our room (302) had problems with the the bath, which flooded the floor everytime we showered. It's a good place if you are on a budget.

Clean and relatively quiet in such a busy area. Breakfast very substantial. Helpful, friendly staff. Only 1km walk from train station.

The rooms are cosy and intimate. Equipped with many comforts: minibar, TV with digital terrestrial and satellite. Free Wi-Fi, air conditioner, hairdryer, spacious wardrobe with desk and practical bedside tables, equipped with mirrors, safe, kettle for hot beverages (included in the service), telephone, clean linen and a well-equipped and clean bathroom, albeit small. Extra pillows and comfy bed. Some small imperfections scattered here and there but for the amount that you spend everything acceptable. Slightly cheesy breakfast buffet.

Great location in a hipper area of Florence. Within walking distance of the key tourist attractions. Smaller and older rooms (by American standards). Very friendly staff. Breakfast was a definite plus.

The location of the hotel is the only good thing about the establishment. The front desk staff tried scamming my friends and I due to "technical" problems and overbooking issues while we were staying here for a school trip. The staff acted very inappropriately, yelling and cursing at us. They also made racist comments against us. Housekeeping staff were kind and assisted in any room issues.

Hotel was clean and well maintained. The room was nice and had a great view through large windows. Breakfast included meats, cheeses, assured pastries, and cereals. Wifi was very fast.

Excellent reception with advice for the essential places of Florence. The hotel is impeccable at the level of cleanliness and it is in the heart of the historic District no need for car.

Nice hotel for the price. The room was small but clean and quiet. We had a view of the Duomo. Good location. You can easily walk to all the good sites. Nice breakfast buffet. If you want to have breakfast outside on the balcony it makes sense to get there early. I was able to jog every morning in the park across the street. Impossible to run on the streets.

The front desk was extremely nice and helpful, breakfast was great, the room was comfortable and it is located in a great spot.

This is not a 3, 4 nor 5 star hotel. The room for the two of us was so small we couldn't open out large suitcase unless it was on the bed. The elevator holds two people or 1 person and two roller bags. If you don't (or someone else doesn't) close the elevator doors and cage, you can't call it to your floor. The bed was hard as a rock, so was the pillow. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean (if you don't mind the plaster falling off the ceiling). In order to access a room on the first floor you need to walk through the dining room and the main door to the rooms (the hotel in the main building) is locked and you need to be buzzed in but the person working the desk. We rebooked at a real 5 star. We may be spoiled Americans but when it's advertised a 4 or 5 star, it should live up to at least something like the Venetian.

Staff was very kind, and the 24-hour desk is nice, too. Hotel is very easy to find, and view from our room was nice on the 3rd floor. Only a few blocks from the SMN train station.

The place to stay. Friendly people. Leonardo is the best host.

An easy 15 min. Walk from the train station. We had an upper floor room with a great view of city roofs with the Duoma predominate above it all. Close to the backstreet (Via Guetta area) restaurants (like restaurant Cafaggi) that serve the locals with the real Italian food. Clean rooms, great service from the desk. The breakfast is limited, but its free and enough to get you started on the day. Make a small sandwich from some cheese and meat for a picnic lunch later.

The Hotel Caravaggio provided excellent accommodations to my family on my recent stay there. Centrally located to the train station, the Duomo, the Uffizzi and Palazzo del Vecchio, the Caravaggio is a great find in a beautiful city. I worked with Giuseppe before and during my stay and found him to be a man of great humor with a willingness to be concierge, bartender and friend and always willing to do the extras that differentiate this hotel from others. The other associates were also very helpful and spoke English quite well. The rooms are surprisingly large and the complimentary breakfast though European, quite substantial. I''ve never given five stars to a hotel before but the Caravaggio is worth it and I look forward to my next stay there and would not consider any other accommodation.
