Far from the port which is the most important place to visit in Cała Gonone. The air-conditioning was not working properly (25-26 degr C in the night, not effective AC for the size of the room). Sea-view room has a sea view from the balcony only (but directly over smoking area of the staff and trasy bins) ; the other windows were directed to the technical part. There were lots of ants in the bathroom and sleeping room. The room was located on two levels (internal staircase) and was suggested as a room for families with children. No night-light in the stairs what results in slipping of the stairs. We tried to ask for double room without staircase but it was "impossible" for the staff (double room is not proper for two people and a small child even if they want to sleep in one bed). The communication skills of the owner should be improved. The close proximity of the beach results that during check-in times there are no parking spaces in the area. It took us 1 hour to find a place to stop for unloading the lagguage. There are no extra facilities for children in the hotel.

Stunning location and a great hotel with fantastic staff. We love staying here with our motorcycle tour groups and our clients always have a perfect relaxing stay. We can’t wait to get back in 2019

The service in this restaurant was extremely good! Best we had so far in Sardinia. Very kind owner and nice staff. The food was very delicious and well prepared. Compliments to the chef. We even got complementary food and drink to give us the best Sardinian experience. It was truly amazing having our dinner there. When we come to visit Cala Gonone again, we will very surely go there again. Thank you for this great experience!

Many 4 star hotels do not have a prominent owner/host. The ones that do are much more enjoyable and have so much more character. This in is run by a great guy who will take care of you. The restaurant is much more than basic Sardinian or Italian. It has a great international flare that takes Sardinian to a new level.

Absolutely not up to a 4 star… maybe 20 years ago… then: Impossible to Sleep x the nightclub nearby!

Location facing the sea surrounded by greenery. Terrace Restaurant with view and perfect dishes. Little better room to do and nice boss.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff. Always willing to help you. Breakfast is bellissimo! The omelette is sensational. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The beach is only across the road. Can hire 2 beds and an umbrella if you want to. Water is very clear and great snorkeling… Highly recommended staying at Hotel Costa Dorada.

Hotel costa dorada have the quality of service we are looking for all the staff and the room too, the cleanliness and rhe comfort of the room is very quiet.
The restaurant have the good quality of the foods.

Small evening meal at the hotel restaurant. Very warm welcome, there is no free tables, we had not booked and we were asked to wait in the lounge of the hotel. We have placed very quickly and advised by the owner (who speaks french) on the dishes and wine. Very good advice, without pushing to consumption, we ate a tuna steak (not the card but according to arrival) delicious accompanied of the white wine of casa which was excellent. Only downside dessert, a burned cream that needs to be improved. Good table to the staff caring and decent prices.

We are from Bordeaux and spent a great week in late may in this Hotel, we recommend strongly. The boss speaks 5 languages, is very accessible, friendly, helpful and very good advice on the good plans in the region. In addition the staff is very nice and all very professional, the table is excellent, also it comes out and people come to other hotels for to restore. The rooms are very well and always very clean, sheets and towels changed daily. We had a view of the sea, it was great. Its location is great to enjoy the sunset on the terrace and eating. He has a boat if you want to visit the coast and offers lunch amber but sufficient. Do not hesitate, you will not regret.

We spent a pleasant week in Cala Gonone. Junior Suite with sea view, no balcony. With half board breakfast buffet and exquisite and varied dinner on the terrace with sea view. Very helpful support from the owner and very charming operation.

Staff lovely and attentive. Hotel and room (junior suite B) clean, comfortable, nice stay perfect except the smell from the shower. The plate is excellent. The multilingual boss goes out four to satisfy its customers.
