Functional and elegant. In the centre of Rome in a quiet street lined with trees and feature. Staff helpful and friendly. For me it's a second and a comfortable roman home.

Good reception, spacious rooms and very functional.

Excellent accommodation with great breakfast. Pleasant staff and clean rooms. Aircon not working in 305, had to cool the room by opening the window. This meant that we were bitten by mosquito. Take repellent/plug in to use in rooms.

The neighbourhood is silent and the receptionists are very friendly! Room was big and very clean. Bathroom had a bath. Breakfast was good and personnel made a nice cappuccino for the guests!

The nicest people in Italy! A superior hotel with the comfort of home! The service is quintessentially at a five star level, minus the price! I plan to return and will stay here every time I come to Rome. Thank-you Giulio Cesare Hotel and staff!

Not really. They forget to tell you that they have two buildings. One is really a foursome (probably) and the other between a two-star and a three-star hotel…

Good hotel with great service! The breakfast is truly good and the bedrooms are nice and clean (even if they looked a bit used). The owner is quiet old but will come and greet you every morning at breakfast, which gives it a nice personal touch.

Lovely hotel in a lovely location in Rome. We ran into the owner of the hotel outside the building and he was so generous and charming as he welcomed us. Our room was phenomenal, clean and very snazzy yet having an old world charm to it. The complementary breakfast was to die for, the best I've had in my stay in Italy. Would definitely stay in this hotel again.

We stayed here when we traveled to Rome last week. The location was a little bit far away from the main attractions, but it was a nice and quiet place if you like that kind of environment. The breakfast was really good. The showers were big, but it would be nicer if there was more of a barrier so that water would not splash outside. The beds were a little bit small. All in all, a pretty good place to stay at.

This beautiful 4-star hotel in the centre of Rome (in the Prati area and a few steps from Piazza del Popolo), is a great place for tourists who have to stay in the capital in great style. The structure has a classical style, but it has been able to modernize itself in the used technologies (like the magnetic keys of the rooms). The beds are very comfortable and the service is always attentive to the customer (especially the one in the room)

Great location. Environment a little ' dated… very classic, in my opinion would require a restyling. Bathroom OK, room not very big. Large choice at breakfast. Prices a little higher than average, perhaps dictated by the period and certainly from the location a few steps from the metro station Lepanto.

Hotel a few steps from the Metro Lépanto. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were greeted by Patrik who did his best to help us. Very varied breakfasts. An address to remember.

Hotel with very nice rooms at very good price.

The staff is polite and polite, always prepared to satisfy the customer in all his requests. The breakfast is no doubt international, the food is always well prepared and where it is required is of day. People with disabilities have no difficulty accessing them. And willingly accept our four-legged friends. What you want more also the location is great.

The bedding is to be changed (it feels like sleeping on the floor), the walls are in "cardboard" you hear the slightest noises in the next room. The plumbing is old and noisy. The staff are welcoming. Metro nearby.

Nice hotel and very much in keeping with the Roman ethos. Lots of marble and artwork. Staff friendly and helpful. After check out we left our luggage all day which was so useful. Nice location and easy walk to Vatican. Make sure to go on Wednesday morning to see the Pope and the benediction. Would use hotel again.

Elegant but cast environment. Guarantees what professes is the position allows you to be in the heart of Rome with a very speed insinuates to who makes the business the reason why he chose it.

A chique hotel located relatively close to the Borghese attractions, Hotel Giulio Cesare is ok for what it is. Service (Reception, Restaurant, Bar) is fantastic but the rooms do leave you somewhat wanting of general basic amenities. Simple things like tea and coffee/a kettle, room temperature control and decent bedding would easily make this the 4* it claims to be, but without makes some for some sleepless nights (and therefore groggy days)!

It's a pretty good hotel. It is a few meters from the Metro Lepanto, which is the line that takes you to almost everything you have to visit. 1 station from Vatican to 3 from Piazza España. Very clean and very friendly staff.

Lovely little hotel in a great location for exploring Rome. Friendly and helpful staff, especially Patrik and Marco, and very tasty breakfast ♥ I would definitely go back again.

A central hotel but in a corner of absolute tranquility.

Great hotel. Nice and clean. The staff here is outstanding everyone does their best to welcome you. The bar service is excellent and not to mention the free breakfast.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Beds are very firm. But that's my only complaint. If they where softer and a little more comfortable I would rate 5 stars easy.

A wonderful hotel and the friendliest staff! Only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of the bed. The bed is very firm, otherwise, excellent experience!

The hotel, built on an old 19th century villa, is in a quiet residential area very close to St. Peter's Square and the Plaza del Popolo. Excellent communication with 2 Metro mouths that allow you to go anywhere in little time. It has a somewhat recharged classic decoration for the current tastes, but I have to say that I was very positively surprised by the cleanliness of the entire hotel and the treatment of the staff, especially the breakfast waiters.

It is located in a very strategic position, close to Piazza del Popolo, also served by the Metro. Interesting the possibility of being able to charge the electric car in case you reach Rome with a Tesla or even an electric model a bit ' more ' within reach of human.
The prices are good for a 4 star.

To appreciate historical decor is a delite… Absolutely fabulous… just met the owner who gave us a personal tour! Breath taking I must say… I have pictures!

This hotel is amazing, we have just had a four night break here and could not find fault with it. The staff are friendly and the room was large with very comfy beds and a great bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and every morning there was a great choice of foods, the hotel is in a great location and handy for the Vatican. There are bus stops and a metro station right around the corner but walking to the centre is very easy too. We will definitely be back to this hotel.

Great hotel, very good staff and a perfect location.

Good location, Metro station Lepanto is just 5 minutes walk and Vatican city, 15 minutes walk. Breakfast serivce is quite good. Rooms are ok, decent decor except that when in the neighbouring room, somebody used the shower, one had to bear the noise of the running water. We had a stay of seven days. What came as a shock was the bill. For the same two rooms, we were charged 30€ per room extra for two days with no extra facilities offered. The price changed from 79€ to 109€.

Really good Hotel with a fanstastic location to all the sites in Rome. The breakfast is really good and offers a huge selection including regular coffee and Italian coffee, made to order. I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone looking for high value in a truly 4 star hotel. Staff a awesome as well. My wife and I are planning to come back already.

Very clean rooms and an amazing staff. If you like firm mattresses this is definitely your place. Hard mattresses aside we really enjoyed our time here.

Not even €70 for a 4 * to 10 min walk from Via del Corso, in a quiet area where you can easily find parking.

Great costumer service. Decent-size room with good-size bathroom. Great breakfast. The garden was a plus! We met the owner at the breakfast room, had a little chat with us, and made sure that we were attended to well. Conveniently located near the Lepanto Metro station. My dad did not realize he left his cell phone on the breakfast table until after we left for sightseeing, but came back to it at the reception desk that evening. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends, and would go back to this hotel again!

Excellent location to center of Rome — so many places are within walking distance, but the hotel is far enough away that you avoid the noise and crowds.

Good Hotel a few hundred meters from Piazza del Popolo and Via del Corso. Very close also to the civil court of Rome. Friendly and professional staff. Good value/prezzo. Difficulty for disabled in wheelchair…

The hotel itself was great; the room was clean and comfortable, the hotel was decorated with beautiful marble, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was located in a more residential area so it was quieter (good if you're into that, but it was a bit of a walk to get to the more eventful places). Overall, it was great!

Please people said just to the Giulio a familial hôtes with super food and really really nice chef Giulio ücund marina rooms are ok, am eh all day most beach water really unique to the sleep and maintain reichts good shopping and walking to gabicce on the bridge really great and beautiful view from the excursion on the gabicce monte by car or taxi had been 11 years continuously with family there for my daughter Conny always have their best years and mean Parents were replaced always been there just beautiful children together large become today Tyrolean contacts the same people and children, German glorious and Swiss so said simply to love everything about your gaby.

We had chosen this hotel for a weekend in Rome, and were not disappointed. The hotel is quietly located and yet very conveniently located. 20 minutes to St. Peter's square, much to recommend for an evening stroll. The staff is very friendly, came even as the owner in the breakfast room on Sunday and asked for origin of the guests, to then ask in their language for the well-being. Very nice!

Friendly staff, excellent location (quiet but yet central location — approximately 10 minutes walk from the Piazza del Popolo, 20 minutes to St. Peter's square), 15 minutes to the Castel Sant'Angelo, 50 m to the Tiber. Subway (Lepanto) 2 blocks away!
Economy room — had more it does not need ok for urban tourism — bed a little hard but ok, individual air conditioning, bathroom with tub so real! Breakfast very good to excellent (from tomato with Mozarella to bruschetta, Parma ham, eggs in all forms, cookies toast, to sweet (cake, cakes, croissants, etc. ) — really unusual for 4 * in Italy…)
Ensure the best price/performance ratio in Rome! Sure we will be back!

This was a great hotel with a great staff. Is located in a cosy part of Rome and very close to the center / metro. This hotel is the place if you are a couple looking for a nice and quiet place.

Very nice hotel, super-warm and kind staff. Well placed: 5 minutes walking from shopping district cola di rienzo. 10 minutes walking from piazza del popolo. 15 minutes walking from vatican. Very good value for money in Rome.

During our 4-day stay in Rome in August 2009, we stayed at the hotel Giulio Cesare. The hotel is very clean, located in a quiet side street. The rooms are something small, there's a good breakfast and very nice staff. The location allows you to explore Rome on foot, it is centrally located between ancient Rome and Vatican City. I would check in here again and recommend it to 100%.

We spent eight days at this hotel in late March. The Giulio Cesare is a lovely smaller hotel. The rooms were tastefully decorated and immaculate. We found the staff attentive and helpful. While full dinner is not available, a wonderful breakfast buffet is provided and sandwiches and light fare are available in the first floor bar.
