Hostel Beautiful Hostel

We had a beautiful renovated room 3-bed room with a new tidy bed (and I am very sensitive! ) and the bathroom was freshly renovated and looked more beautiful than in many hotels. This was not to be expected after the frightening stairwell and hallway and all the more beautiful!
The view from the room was not intoxicating, but I don't just spend my time in the room.
The service was also very friendly.

My rating considers the price: if you are looking for a 3-4 star hotel, do not book here. But if you think you're going to find better in the center of Rome, at the same rates offered by the Hotel Beautiful… Wishes. 300 euros, including tax, for 6 nights in double with bathroom in the room. We have a recently renovated room, but I'm not sure all the rooms were as good as ours. Small room, but clean and furnished in an essential way, dark glossy floor (thank God no carpeting), small and functional bathroom with shower box quite spacious and perfectly functioning. The only real flaw, the hot exaggerated, exacerbated by the choice to cover the walls with wallpaper. But there was the air conditioner in the room. The area is that of Termini Station, so not beautiful… But in reality it is always full of tourists, and paradoxically it is easier to be pickpocketed in the center than behind the station. I recommend to those who want to save some on housing because they already know that they will spend all the time around.

Friendly staff, excellent location-easy to find, clean rooms. Guests get free pastry and coffee (at the cafe down stairs) every morning too. Rana was kind enough to give me an little upgrade too. Would highly recommend for the budget conscious traveller.

Had an okay stay living in a private room for two for 5 nights, paying about 60 €/night. Had a private bathroom which looked like it was pretty newly renovated. The shower was a bit hard getting a good temperatured water with though, either it was superhot, or super cold. Also it was a bathtub. AC didn't really work, I mean, yeah as a fan, but it didn't make it any cooler which was a bit sucky in the days we had like 35 degrees celsius outside. Also we had some ants in the room, but they didn't do us anything, they were mostly just strolling around haha. I guess we got what we paid for. They tidied our room everyday, not that thoroughly but still. And we got breakfast as well; a croissant and coffee in a super cute place next door. Staff was great, really service minded. Especially this guy Rami who let us store our bags for free… after that I'd booked one more night in a dormitory for 8 persons (23€). First he wanted 5€/bag for a day… The dorm was cleaner, no ants. The only negative thing about it was that the door squeaked and that the bathroom, which was located in the middle of the dorm, didn't have this little function called a "lock"… But we all agreed to knock so it was fine. At least I met the nicest people there so that made it all a hole lot more pleasant.

Good location. Doesnt offer anything extraordinary. Also the receptionist flirted with my friend, which is unacceptable.

Traveled all of Europe and this is the worst hostel I’ve stayed in. Staff said we could store luggage for free, then demanded 20 euros the next day to store them. Everything in our room was dirty and broken. Shower door, hair dryer, AC were all broken. Beds were too tight and close together. Staff was incredibly rude and unfriendly. Establishment advertises that they take cards, but would only let us pay in cash. The area is also very loud and noisy at all hours of the night. Only spent about 24 hours here and it was not worth the cheap price. There are better affordable places, avoid this one at all costs.

Beautiful place. But the janitor was rude.

All broken! It came out smelling of the bathroom, the faucet lost. The toilet chain did not have the lid. The shower very small. It had only one door and a curtain all dirty… The bathroom plug is also broken. Although the building is old. Those things have nothing to do with Q. Total Lack of maintenance! Aah and the Wi-Fi wasn't walking either! And there are some rooms with armchairs where people gather every night to shout and take… you could not sleep… when there is a place down at the reception to not disturb!

It's great to sleep a few nights.

Rude Indian guy receptionist. Elevator not working. Broken toilet seat. Wifi speed is 1-6mbps. Beds smell terrible. No soap and shampoo holder in the shower. Noisy and annoying neighbours at night. "This is just a hostel" — their excuse for rudeness, incompetence, and lack of professionalism.

Central and well located Hotel, a stone's throw from the Termini station, perfect for the short or medium long term with affordable prices.

Rudest Indian guy receptionist I have lived in Singapore for 2 years and met many Indians along the way. This hotel has the rudest Indian guy receptionist. Ever heard of a receptionist say to a customer, "Hey, you guy! come here! " Beds smell terrible, toilets are dirty, Wi-Fi speed is 6mbps shared by the whole hotel. Avoid this hotel at all costs. There are other hotels nearby.

Near the Termini station, very good location. The rooms are big and it is possible to have some privacy. You can leave and enter whenever you want. The only thing is that there are mixed rooms.

Kindness and courtesy are at home. One hundred percent recommended!

The galley to find the hostel! It's just noted on the intercom, but it's not the only one in this case. At the atmosphere it was really top! Free wine and after fired all together in the bar next door. For a weekend this is a good address. After the comfort level of the room it's quite dusty.

If you go for more than 12 hours forget it. Wi-Fi only reaches the common space (and malfunctions). It doesn't come into the rooms. There's a stun in the kitchen. There's no hot water to make tea. The receptionist a slob, wants to get up to anyone who stays. He told me to stay talking to him and I said, "I don't understand, sorry. " The rooms and cleanliness are OK. But only for one night.

The hostel was very accommodating and the staff were friendly. The outside is not the prettiest but inside is very nice. The rooms are clean and spacious. The Wi-Fi could use a little work, but it still works! Would recommend.

Brand new faculty, new rooms and bathroom. Very cheap, good location to the train station and major tourist spots. Free coffee and delicious pasty in the morning at a nice cafe. Nice staff and all for around 10€ a night.

It is a remodeled, very large place and has Wi-Fi available, although the guy at the front desk didn't want to be at the front desk. Good place, near termini station.

Location is awesome, but poor staff. Cleanness ok, but you have just one bathroom in the room.

Staff not nice, Wi-Fi does not work in the room (too far away from the box), 1 socket on 5 in the room works, bed worn and stained, casted latte replaced by planks, hygiene a goodbye (towel changed once a week, sheets between 2 person different not changed), leaking shower hose, door handle that goes in hand.
Let's talk about the entrance door of the room about 2 to 3 cm of space underneath the door thanks to the sound insulation of the room.

The truth is that the hostel is very cozy. Although at first glance the building is old once you enter you will be surprised! Spacious rooms with private bathroom if they are private rooms. Wi-Fi included. Very good location because it is in front of Termini station, you are connected to all of Rome.

Probably the worst dump in Rome. I found cockroaches in the shower. Run by Pakistanis in tank tops. In the hall are toxic and disguised. I escaped!

Definitely the worst hostel me and my husband have ever been in! To start, the location was awful, lack of signals, the building was in a very bad shape, and on top of that the staff was RUDE and DISHONEST… We made the bug mistake of paying before the check-in time so we could leave our suitcases there, go for a walk and then come back to set up ourselves in the room. When we came back, we were set up in a room that it wasn’t what we had booked, plus the bathroom was disgusting. We tried to talk to the person in charge (an Indian man), who had a rude attitude and yelled at us the whole time. He didn’t accept any kind of negotiation or proposal from us, because at that point we didn’t want to stay there, we were willing to pay for the first night but wanted the rest of our money back… never happened.

Very bad experience. One of the owners noticed that he does not like his work, they do not take responsibility for the keys to the rooms and the best of all is that we were lost in our room and then they blamed us… I got to even have an argument with him. A real shame. I don't recommend it at all.

Best hostel I've stayed at. The shower is a real shower, dosnt turn off every couple second like most hostel showers. Amazing beds with clean sheets. Breakfast is small, just one croissant.

The rooms are great. The stairway is very shabby and could do with a lot of work. Staff are very friendly but would be great if they would tell you a bit more information without asking.

Such a clean and friendly place to stay. The staff are great. The whole hostel looks brand new, not sure if they renovated or not, but it looks great and is very clean. They beds are decent and your locker has ample room for your valuables. You can even switch off the lights from your bed! Honestly, I love this place, and it's a decent price too.

The location is very good, a stone's throw from the central station and a short walk from many of the attractions in Rome (although actually finding the hostel is a little tricky as the signs are quite inconsistent. The room was fairly standard for a hostel, with as many lockers as beds (provide your own padlock). The plug sockets next to the bed had true accepting a large European plug without turning on the light. The staff were nice and reasonably helpful. The breakfast was nice but small, consisting of a pastry and a coffee from the cafe downstairs. Two major problems however. Firstly and less importantly, we had no hot water for half of our stay, which was clearly quote irritating; the water was fixed by the time we left. Secondly and most notably the Wi-Fi is terrible. When more than a couple of people are connected (which you would expect in a hostel) it slows to a crawl, to the point where most websites won't even load. This was seriously disappointing and really is not a problem I expect to have as I suspect it is just a problem of having a cheap consumer grade router. Overall, fairly average modern hostel.

The building is very old and the elevator looks like will fall out eventually. I booked 5 nights for this trip and I wanted to change to 3 but wasn't allowed, they aren't flexible, weird because they have 24h policy for canceling. For 2 days we didn't have hot water and we had to have cold shower, there's no AC, and the most upsetting thing that happened is : the staff tried to steal my things. I was sleeping with my purse close to my feet and I woke up with him holding it, I was very scared because I didn't know who was this guy, he was literally holding my purse with no reason. Also he lied to the receptionist saying my purse was already there, it was busy the night before with other person! I was ready to go to the police and the manager changed his speech I gave my money back for the last night which wasn't fair bc he didn't pay fairly. I had to interrupt my trip because of this. I got so scared! CAREFUL the staff can steal little things and you'll never know.

I stayed a couple of nights in a male shared bedroom. The room was not the cleanest. The shower worked only sometimes. The worst were the sleeping conditions, as we were 4 people sleeping in a tiny room with single beds separated no more than 20cm, with only a small fan in Rome's hot summer. Also, the Wi-Fi didnt work on the rooms or the floor, which resulted in everyone having to go to reception and the Wi-Fi being very slow. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Staff member that took care of us was younger guy super nice. Tried to do everything to help us have a good stay. Just not a very nice place. Had to sit in the lobby for Wi-Fi, air conditioning didn’t work very well, mattresses not very comfortable.

Clean! And very flexible staff!

The location is ideal — it is close to the train station (termini) and you can easily start your own waking tour to all sights from there. (But you can imagine that the neighborhood around the train station gets a bit rough at night. ) It's a pretty nice place; the furniture seems new — although the cleaning staff could have done a better job. A tiny typical Italian breakfast is included.

Stay away! Bed makes you itchy, there's NO internet and the kitchen does not exist, but is under constructions. 2017 Syria has better infrastructure. Here's some photos as proof. Staff rude and dismissive, would only recommend to people who are deaf and or blind, because only then could you not tell how bad this hostel is. Whole place has the atmosphere of a moon, many disappointed patrons.

BED BUGS! I just realized I have been getting bitten for 4 days now while staying in a hotel room here. Their response was to give me the money for the days I have not slept here yet and kick me out on a Saturday! (This is for the other hostel beauty that they own. But since they are trying to get away and not help with what they have put onto me I want to make sure others don't get stuck with the same terrible management. )

Problem with hot water, is not TV or minibar and that in the reserve includes it, I do not recommend!

Shower head was very bad and shower curtain was filthy. Was in a triple and each had our own beds, no bunks. No outlets near the beds. Wifi worked fine. Elevator was the smallest I've ever seen and looked about 80 years old, but worked fine. Charged us 5 euro per person to keep our bags for the day when we checked out.

The only thing beautiful about this"hotel" is the location. The staff were useless and quite rude, Hostel World had very incorrect details about the accommodation such as them accepting card, having laundry machines and the pictures make the rooms look much nicer. The shower and tap had a very low flow of cold water sometimes forcing you to take scolding hot showers (a problem opposite to most other lousy places like this one).

Very bad hostel. The rooms were awful, the wallpaper was scratched, noises till late and starting again as early as 8 in the morning so I couldnt sleep. On 3 out of the 4 days I stayed there I had no cold water either.

Very bad hotel on the edge of the unhealthy. I strongly advise against.

Felt compelled to leave this review in the hopes that a fellow traveler can avoid this trap. We payed about 60 euro per person per night to stay in this room and it was like a room from a nightmare. Person behind check-in desk was rude and rushing. We were not given any information (Wi-Fi password; had to go back down to front desk to find it out). Building is old. Room was dated and smelled. Sheets are all from different sets and look like they were bought on the street. No heater in any of the rooms (or building). No hot water in the shower. We stayed 2 days and were not given new towels (were told we had to pay 2 euro for fresh towels). All in all, the worst travel accommodations I've experienced for the price.

A group of us lost 150 Euros to this scam of a hostel, please do not fall into this trap! A traumatic experience that I would not wish upon anyone. Top of my head the horrors of staying here: bed bugs, dirty sheets (blood stains, hair and even shoe prints), shower is filled with grim and faeces found stuck to toilet bowl, and staff that you need to deal with are unkempt, rude and disturbed — muttering insults when you ask why all the room is absolutely disgusting. Also, you must avoid the luggage storage room as it is located on a separate level to reception and there's no security available — you're better off taking it with you and lugging it around than having it stolen. When I expressed my concern to the staff, they couldn't care the slightest. This is by far the most sickening hostel I've stepped foot in. Please do not make the same mistake and save yourself your time, sanity and money. This is not Hostel Beautiful, this hostel is a nightmare.

Hotel at the limits of what is acceptable. Cheap and near the station, but with bed uncomfortable, noisy neighbours and very low security. Rude receptionist.

I don't know why they name it beautiful accommodation. Totally worse hostel I ever stay. In the same price I stayed in Naples and it was far far far better than this. Had many bad bugs in the room and one of my friend was suffering and we went to visit doctor to recover him. I never recommend anyone to stay here. Please don't waste your money here. There're better hostel in the same area with same price. I suggest all to go there.

Awful awful place! worst hostel I've ever stayed in!

No air conditioning or fan, unfriendly staff, barely clean, room toilet was out of service. Far too expensive for what it offers.

No hot water in the middle of winter!

Do not stay here. At 3am while we were all sleeping, one of the staff members stormed into the room, turned on the lights and tried to kick a girl out of the room. What had happened is they didn't have enough keys at the front desk for her to get into her dorm room, and nobody was in her dorm to let her in so she could sleep. She'd met one of the other travellers and they'd offered to let her crash on the floor in ours. The staff member didn't seem to care and kicked her out of the hotel with her bag onto the streets at 3am. The hotel is in a dodgy part of Rome, near the trian station, and she could have been attacked/raped that late at night. One of the big guys staying in the dorm left with her so she would be safe. The staff member stood yelling in the dorm for an hour waking all of us up, and wouldn't leave even when we asked him to. Other dorms down below started opening their windows and yelling for us (the staff member) to keep it down. Absolutely awful behaviour.

I've traveled all around Europe and this is, without any doubt, the worst hostel I've seen. Dirty and with extremely unpolite workers. Well located, is the only good point.

The hostel is very clean and the service is good. I stayed in room 401 and there were bed bugs all over the room. I asked for another room and that was no problem. So I would recommend the place, but be careful for bed bugs.

Just got back from this one. Its a very friendly hostel. We got there, got a free bottle of wine and sat down with one of the receptionists and they walked us thru what we should do and how to do it in Rome. They also gave us a map and valuable information on transportation and bus numbers. The 2 beds we booked in a dorm weren't available so they gave us a 2 twin bed suite instead. First rate! The AC wasn't working very well but it wasn't too hot so not a big deal. I would recommend this one. The only drawback is that its a little far from things if you plan on only walking. Also there isnt a lot of life in the hostel because of the layout.

We reserve a room for 3 people, we were over one hour waiting for check-in outside the scheduled time, leave our belongings and we went to see Rome, again asked the key and told us that it was open (? ) and surprise, we had got ourselves into a stranger to sleep with us, calling for explanations we were told that a person could be in the room more and that if we did not seem well that we were on the street (a! 12 o'clock), present the documentation of booking and as if nothing, than that or the street. Room a third world, with broken plugs attached to the shower, dirty mess, noise everywhere, uncomfortable beds, food odor.
A real scam.!

If you do not have big expectation, it is a good cheap hotel. The position in the city is perfect, just few steps from the Termini Station, and from here you can easily walk to the center, or take the metro. But be ready to walk up many stairs: it is located at the 4th floor of the building, and there is not elevator.
