One of the grandest hotels I've ever stayed. It is placed right on the Grand Canal with its on private dock for your taxi! Only a few steps to San Marco Square. The rooms are exquisite with turn down service at night. The staff members are lovely and super friendly. As mentioned by a previous guest, it's quite hard to find by foot; but once you've located it easy to remember. It is situated along the high end shops such as CHANEL, Louis Vuitton and so on. Lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from nearby if you don't want to dine in the hotel. I suggest to taxi to the hotel from the train or airport station. It's worth the breathtaking ride on the taxi (speedboat). Plus you don't want to carry your luggage. Trust me. Lots of bridges to cross and steps!

***** Location of the hotel is absolutely fabulous. Next to the San Marco and first class shops! The hotel is situated at the Canal grande with a great view!

***** every morning the room is cleaned, and we know that a clean room is what you may expect in a hotel. But the cleaning staff also enters the room to close your curtains! We were positively surprised about that. However the best was still to come… Sunday morning (27 sept '17) a lady from your cleaning staff came into our room to provide us with toilet paper. Without us mentioning anything she noticed we had two adjacent single person beds. She felt really sorry for us and after we returned we found a kingsize double bed. Sadly we did not ask for her name but this way we would really like to recommend her for her client focussed approach and her empathy. She was absolutely lovely and we hope this recommandation will reach her.
** Tips: we know that this is a fine hotel, however we found the price for dinner and drinks to be on the high side. We enjoyed brilliant food and drinks for the both of us for way less than half the price advertised for dinner for one person at the hotel. Although we appreciate your overhead might be different, maybe something to reconsider…
**** The waiters at breakfast were very attentive, but there was a lack of guidance in their approach to costumers.
