We loved our room, the view and the hotel's atmosphere. Diego and staff offer their guests a home away from home. The location is fantastic, a few steps away from St. Mark's Square. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Venice and cant wait until our next holiday at Hotel Fontana.

It was well situated to journey out into Venice. The desk was always helpful on places to go, things to do, and with directions!

Front desk was very nice. Breakfast staff surly. Room was clean. Very small. Bathroom was very old. Breakfast was pathetic, as in plastic wrapped cheeses and no fruit. Great location for seeing St Marco and Doge's palace. You get what you pay for… It was cheap.

Good size room (312), nice view of the church and very well located near Saint Mark's square and the water bus stops.

Third visit to the family run Hotel Fontana. This hotel is only a stroll away from San Marco Square and San Zaccaria Vaperetto stop. The Hotel offers excellent rooms with breakfast, has very good Wifi throughout the hotel and unlike other small hotels has a lift. The reception is run by 2 cousins of the Stainer family Diego and Gabriele. Any advice on where to eat, what tours to go on they're are only too happy to help. My wife and I will be returning. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay enjoyable.

Great centralized location. Accomdating and friendly staff. Very clean and maintained rooms. Fast Wi-Fi. The free Breakfast was magnificent and delicious. When coming back to Venice will definitely consider staying at Hotel Fontana again.

Only note that I feel to do is that the shower is a bit uncomfortable to do as it is in the tub, and the tub has a particular shape.

Very tired, tiny shower room, breakfast is very simple. Nothing wrong with the hotel, but wouldn't want to stay any more than two nights, and as prefer a little luxury.

A little gem near all the important parts of the amazing City of Venice, a very warm welcome, lovely rooms & a great breakfast are all part of the package this excellent Hotel provides.
Although I was only here for a short city break I would recommend this wonderful place to anyone & I can't wait to return as soon as possible!

Nice and cheap and the relatively close to St. Mark's Square. The staff was very nice. It's been 24 hours someone at the counter. After checking out, we were able to leave our suitcases there.
Wi-Fi eigtl only in the bar, but also in the 2og we still had reception.
The air conditioning in the room was a blessing. The rooms were OK and clean. Also beds so fresh that I liked sleeping in it.
No room service noticed, if you want something you can buy it downstairs in the bar. There is a lift.
A hair dryer was firmly installed in the bathroom.
Maybe not the best hotel but Preis\leistung top.

Can highly recommend this beautiful family owned hotel, ideally centrally located less than 5 mins walk from vaperetto stop absolutely spotless and lovely friendly helpful staff, large comfortable rooms will definitely stay again.
