Great location as it is near everything but not too close to where you cannot get away from the city vibes. Nice rooms, friendly and helpful safe, and a good price for the quality.

Very friendly and helpful staff — — Great people. Room was (small) but nice. Had to climb 54 steps up to 3rd of 4th floor. (I lost track) You can stop and make base camp at one of the lower floors, then re-group for the final assault. Had to share a bathroom (and toilet) not sure I enjoyed that experience. But overall the staff made it enjoyable.

Location was nice and the place was liveable. However, they only gave us a thin layer of bedsheet as a cover. My friend and I froze the whole night. There was no locker so thank god the people living with us are nice. The reception is empty most of the times. But if you are just looking for a cheap place to stay And have no expectations I would still recommend here.

It takes you out of a rush of accommodation in Venice as tourists spend little time in the room; And we looked at it as it was: a place to just sleep and already.
Although not exactly a cheap hostel (venice prices, because a hostel in Spain for example would not cost you that money), the rooms are quite old, with carpet (which gives me a lot of grime in general) and a sink inside.
The bathroom… We had to go down to the ground floor, go through a room and there was another sink, and the shower-toilet. Those two things in the same tiny space. It was impossible to shower and not leave it all flooded (WC included).
Positive points: Great location and then the bed and pillow were very comfortable.
If you are exquisite in terms of accommodation, it is not your place. If you don't care, it is one of the most economical options in Venice; especially the good location; Next to San Marco and the vaporetto stop that takes you to Piazzale Roma, where you take the airport bus.
A priori we had booked a bed in a shared room of 5 people, and price was almost €100 per person for 3 nights. For some reason, we were moved to a double room for ourselves at no extra cost, which we thanked because I don't know if it would have been the same my experience in Venice sharing room.

It is very well located, is located 5 minutes from Plaza San Marco, this cheap and has kitchen.

The room is constantly damp because of lack of heating. Although the heating was included in the room rate, but had to ask for the included.
The only plus is the good location of the hotel.

It has good location, 6 minutes from St. Mark's Square, sleeping is OK, the facilities are a bit old, smells like humidity the rooms, the stairs are narrow you can not tread well, and are many to climb.

The guy there is very cozy the sheets were clean and the room nice. Great Nights there!

Great location but a little poor as services: inadequate heating, cleanliness to review and bathroom with some service that does not work…

Great value for money. Cheap hotel in the area and you get what you pay for. Simple room, clean with fantastic service. Paolo on reception was brilliant too.

The owner is really not nice And the common room is so bad and very hot in the summer They don't accept card I don't recommended at all.

They played with my food and messed up my friends bed. It was like swimming instead of sleeping since the bed was so god damn damp. Italian owner was just sleeping half the time and there was no reception.

It was a good location. The room was big and simple. Water was hot. Price was right. Watch that you close the windows as the mosquitoes attack. Mood lighting. No tv. Free Wi-Fi.

Quaint little hotel in a frankly unmatched location for the price (it really is 5 mins from St Mark's square). Rooms were homely and comfortable, featuring ceiling fans which were much appreciated in the midsummer heat. Staff were friendly and chatty, also allowing us to store our bags when we turned up as we'd arrived prior to the scheduled check-in time. I know it seems pricey compared to the rest of Europe, but by Venice standards this is a very reasonably priced hotel. Good for travellers.

Good location to sleep (clean and quiet), good located to get into city center.

Good location, but a very uncomfortable stay. It's near San Marco, one of the major attractions, but the room was muggy and hot. We opened the window, but then I couldn't sleep because of the mosquito that flew in the screenless windows. The bathroom had black mold in it, so I didn't even want to shower. The hostel does not have laundry facilities, but there's a laundromat across the street that charges €10/kg, which is obviously far more expensive than a real hostel. The receptionist was not very helpful, and only gave me a map of the city, as he didn't really speak too much English, and he didn't even know about the free walking tour. Finally, the narrow steps are a possible hazard for the less nimble. I considered moving, but it's outside my budget. I would definitely not recommend it.

Sucks. Please if you have an option, don't pick it.

Nice little cosy hotel! It has a perfect location for Bienale visitors, with the Arsenale only 5 mins away. The neighbourhood is not so crowded with tourists, but there are many restaurants, bars and a food store nearby. The hotel host is very gentle and serve great coffee. No breakfast otherwise though. Also no tv. Highly recommended if you just need a bed and shower. I'd go back to this place!

Location was fantastic and the owner was very nice and even gave me a free espresso after my third night. Unfortunately, there were bed bugs — I woke up both days with a slew of new bug bites all over my body. The best place for Wi-Fi is outside the front door.

the hotel is nice and very close to san marco square (5minutes only walking), beside to the hotel there are good restaurants, 2 supermarkets and a nice coffetteria to have breakfast; the staff of the hotel is kind and helpful.

The room (ensuite) was clean and livable, but the room door wouldn't close properly and as such we had some difficulties opening / closing the door. No bed bugs which was good. Water pressure and temperature wouldn't remain consistent but toilet was clean. We liked the friendly and helpful staff who spoke English.

After arriving totally exhausted and tired, climbing the several flights to the hostel office the person on staff totally made my trip! He placed me in The Wedding Room — my very own king size bed! I had a shared bath and shared refrigerator (no coffee maker or stove). Next to one of the best restaurants — the food was incredible! I totally recommend anyone to book a room with Hotel Casa Linger that cannot afford regular hotel prices in Venice, and still wants to visit. (I'm taking off one star for the lack of stove and lack of locking door on the bathroom).

This is a realy great Budget hotel very well located 5 minutes walk from San Marco square, the rooms are extremely clean, and you will have your owen keys that you can go ou/in without any problem! Go for It.
