Quiet, relatively close to the port of the boats, beautiful view.

Visually a very nice hotel. The rooms on the upper floors are nicer than those on the ground floor. The furniture is not modern but functional. The mattresses are comfortable and new in value. Rooms on the street are quite noisy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Questions are answered extensively and helpful tips are given. Complaints are immediately remedied. Unfortunately, the whole house is much too warm. Probably heating problems. The breakfast buffet is very good. There is everything you need for breakfast. Hearty and sweets. From the vaporetto to the hotel you can take two stops by bus or walk. Prefer to invest some extra money and book a room from the first floor.

The hotel is very welcoming and quiet. In our case (two days of visit to the Biennale), the position has proved particularly favourable.

Great hotel with a great staff in a great place. The rooms are big for the area and the prices are great. It is located in the island of Lido, a small and quiet island next to venice. It is definitely better to stay here and take public boats to visit Venice.

Beautiful little hotel, friendly staff and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. Ignore the "unassuming" reviews, they are not fair. Be realistic, you are not booking The Hilton, nor paying for it. Russo Palace Hotel is literally 10 minutes walk along the front from Lido centre and the main Vaporetti port. The staff are so helpful and will help wherever they can. Our room is superb, comfortable, spacious enough and very clean. The air conditioning worked well and hotel is quiet at night. The shower is wonderful. Lido is the perfect base from which to experience Venice, and then retreat to somewhere more relaxed. We wish our stay was longer and we will definitely return to Russo Palace Hotel. I have given 5 stars because this hotel ticks all the boxes. Reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, helpful, very well located and well presented.

Avoid the rooms in the attic in the summer! We checked-in to our economy room which sounds good right, 2 twin beds and a separate though non divided room with another twin bed and small desk with the bathroom in the middle. Slope of the ceiling in this this attic room means a lot of bumping your head and I am only 163cm in height (5'4") and still had a few bumps ha ha. Cooling is an issue as there is no way to keep the window open and being an attic room means it gets the worst of the heat, plus the in room air conditioning doesn't work very well. Bathtub, no possibility of shower due to the ceiling sloping right over the bathtub means mind your head when you climb out of taking a bath. Fortunately for the second night we were able to move to there ground floor room at the same rate, I'm not sure if this room was of the same category as it was nicer with tiled floors compared to carpet floors of the attic room. Ants were the only complaint in this new room and this seems to be common in Venice when it rains. Breakfast was good, with a variety of choices from fruits to scrambled eggs, croissants, yogurt, coffee, tea, juices, and cereals. Location of this hotel is not in the main islands of Venice which can be accessed with the water buses 12 minutes away and you save about $50 a night too and there is more space than the other islands of Venice and don't have to carry your luggage though the maze of streets. Peaceful beaches with the Adriatic Sea are only 3 blocks away too.

Giod hotel with cooperative staff and accomodating staff. Lido itself is a great peaceful island. Enjoyed staying here. Just 20 mins from venice.

Everything top except the breakfast buffet. Helpful front desk staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome, Especial Ivan I asked front desk staff for a balcony and that’s exactly what I got! The Wi-Fi worked well. The location was perfect for getting transportation.

Great. Staff were outstanding and very responsive. The breakfast can use some enhancing, and it is a bit of a walk to the boat taxi dock.

The thing to like about Lido is that it is just a short Vaporetto (Venice water bus) jump from overcrowded Venetian San Marco square, but is generously offering much needed escape from in season tourist madness. Hotel itself is showing its age a bit, but that is easily overlooked in Venice and overshadowed by a very friendly service it offers. All stuff was polite, if not friendly, but be sure to ask for Mr. Ivan if you need a friendly and able 'concierge'. Our 'deluxe' room felt smallish, but of comparable size to typical hotel there. Do ask for "lagoon view" and be sure to pick a room with bath if you prefer it. Hotel offers only breakfast, but there is one good and one ok restorant adjacent (Ristorante Favorita and Tratoria Pancin). You can also eat in a nearby larger and more distinguised Albergo Ausonia Hungary hotel, owned by the same Russo Group. They sweetened the 5 nights deal with a free visit to a small cute basement spa in that other larger hotel which came handy after 3 day nonstop Venice march.

Well maintained hotel. Reception staff excellent. Great breakfast. Room in good condition although with minor flaws but well compensated by the pleasant views of the lagoon.

Very good stay at the Russo Palace Hotel, clean, with a nice view of the lagoon, 10 minutes walk from the vaporetto, so 20 minutes from the centre of Venice.
The +: The friendly welcome in French, the breakfast very varied and hearty —: the soundproofing of the rooms, but I would go back with a great pleasure.

Nice hotel, just 20 minutes from Venice she same (vaporetto at 5 minutes walk). Very friendly staff, spacious and very clean rooms. Breakfast is at will, with a wide choice of sweet and sour.
