Hotel corona D’oro Bologna, they are cheating with bed size in double room and then asking extra payment for normal size bed. Unacceptable! 100% bad experience. I had to cancel reservation.

We arrived early for our two night stay, the staff on reception let us leave our bags so we could go and explore Bologna.
The hotel was lovely, gorgeous clean room and bathroom, great breakfast and fantastic staff.

Very helpful staff. They helped us with activities & restaurant recommendations. We also had a UPS package we mailed across the street and they helped get the problem sorted out. Very nice rooms.

Lovely hotel in the midst of old town Bologna. The Service is immaculate and friendly. My room was tiny and too small, but others are larger. The hotel is clean and breakfast is opulent. Could not miss a thing.

My husband and I were on our way to Florence but missed our connecting flight. We got lucky and caught a later flight to Bologna. We booked a room at the Corona D'Oro. We met Antonio after a very long travel. He was amazingly understanding and helpful. The hotel was absolutely perfect from the room to the service. We ended up there by mistake but had a great time. We spent the night and checked out in the morning. Antonio stored our bags to allow us to enjoy Bologna. Finding the Corona D'Oro was a delightful experience and we definitely plan on visiting again.

Nice place. Sound isolation is not good. Noise from the hall and outside were very easy to hear.

Hotel Corona D’Oro Four stars standard in the heart of old Bologna, I spent the night at this authentic hotel born in 1890. Leave your luggage at the reception and you’ll be accompanied by the doorman to the hotel’s private parking located more than two hundred meters away. Even though the weather was cold and it was raining, having a place to leave your car is not easy in this city. The place is calm and simple, a bit old without high expectations. Meet the welcoming staff at the reception, a doorman to take your luggage up the room, checkin and enjoy your stay. The best part of this stay is the internet connection, the fastest I’ve experienced in Italy to date, an 8mb/second upload I never dreamt to experience. A big bathroom, a nice room, an enjoyable night sleep while I dreamt of the tomorrow’s breakfast. Not bad but not great, a wide choice that’s not enough, served in a room located underground. Why would someone have breakfast underground when the hotel has a beautiful lobby under a glass ceiling where lights of day give you a feel of happiness. The good: — The receptionist recommended a good restaurant. — I asked for super glue which was sent to my room on the spot. — It’s a calm place to relax. For 250€ inclusif breakfast, I expected a bit better, a more attentive service, more and tastiest choices for breakfast, a bigger bed cover and complementary water bottles for the night.

From the minute we entered the reception area it just felt so authentically old school Italian. The service was lovely, our room was lovely and the buffet breakfast was just delightful as were the staff. Would definitely stay again if we’re lucky enough to go back some day.

A great hotel with helpful staff, very central (one step from the two towers) and very clean. Typical "neoclassical" decor in many Italian hotels, but nothing detracts from it. Highly recommended.

Very good hotel in a very good location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were able to provide some decent recommendations for places to visit and eat. As with most of my hotel reviews I only award 5 to those that provide complimentary bottled drinking water in the room. Definitely something you could look to change otherwise all was good. Thanks.

We enjoyed a comfortable, warm welcome. The Hotel is bang in the centre and Heart of Bologna. Don't miss La Prosciuttaria down the road! Enjoy.

Hotel building is dated from 1890. As you enter the hotel, you are welcomed by receiption desk to your right. But more importantly, there is a very classic decorated lobby right in front of you. Hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. There are about 40 rooms total. My standard room is cozy but very comfortable. Look over the window, you will see all business and shops around the hotel. The hotel is not facing any main street. The street down below is mainly for pedestrian only. You can expect a relatively quite environment. Breakfast is awesome, it costs 18euro er person if not included in your stay. It takes about 5 mins to walk to the main Bologna attraction, two towers. Street is very walkable as there are tons of pizzaria, Osteria, and cafe at every corner of the blocks. People are friendly here. You can expect to bump into a lot of University students.

Terrific location in the heart of Bologna. Easy walk to sites, shopping, and food. Staff is wonderful. Classic ok'd world. Hotel so rooms are a bit small, but overall highly recommend.

Nice place, informal and courteous staff. Awkward parking is to reach it but it is part of the advantages of being a stone's throw from the center.

Luxurious hotel in the Centre of Bologna
Really nice hotel and central location you can reach all major attractions within walking distance. Tastefully decorated rooms well and some bigger some smaller but with a small terrace. All commodities and gadgets. Perfect and efficient staff, sweet and savory breakfast with all the options and great ingredients. Definitely worth the stay. High prices if you don't find promotions and/or offerings.
