For 240 EUR pr night, this hotel is rather expensive, but so is everything else in Positano. Service: 5⭐ The service was great. We asked if they could open a bottle of wine for us and they even gave us two nice wine glasses. They also feel very friendly. Unfortunately the check-in time is 14.30 and their luggage storage is just placing the luggage in the public reception area. You just have to hope that nobody takes your luggage if you arrive at noon like we did. Rooms: 5⭐ We had room 24 with a partial ocean view and it was a very nice looking and clean room. Everything seems new and there is even 2 real orchids in the room. It feels to nice! Breakfast: 4⭐ There were a good variety of food at the breakfast. The bread was not the usual boring Italian bread, but something with a little more substance. There were a variety of Italian meat, some juice, milk, yoghurt and the usual cereal products. On top of that they had fresh fruit (mostly oranges and peaches), croissants and they can make you a really nice coffee or cafe latte. Location: 5⭐ The location is great. It's situated directly in the center of the town with very short walk to everything. Very convenient location!

Pros • Excellent breakfast • Friendly staff • 2 minutes walk to the beach • Huge suite (70 m²) with jacuzzi and a small balcony Not really Cons but some things worth mentioning • At least 5 minutes walk to the main road (to have access to a car or bus) or to the port • No elevator • Disadvantages of the huge suite: extremely bad Wi-Fi (almost no cellular connection either) and no views. Try to book a room with sea view if available.

Great hotel clean perfect room with views over positano 2 minute walk to the beach and breakfast included which is fresh and has views over the water better then tourist cafes.

Lovely B&B just about a 100 metres from the beach and the Duomo. The room are beautifully furnished and very spacious. What makes it memorable are the members of the staff, each and every one of them will go out of their way to meet every request and help in any way they can. The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is because we got the basement room. Not their fault though, we booked at the last minute and this was the only available room. I just wish they had informed us right away and suggested their sister hotel.

Perefct choice for our stay in Positano. We loved everything about it. Since Positano is a "verticle city", it can be daunting to schlep your luggage to and from most hotels. I wish we had known there was porter service in advance. It's approx $6/bag, but well worth the splurge! Contact the front desk and they can help coordinate the porter service, even though the porters are not strictly for the guests at Villa La Tartana.

Very nice hotel, close to the beach and restaurants. Staff were very friendly.

Amazing location. Quick walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Clean, neat rooms and cool in summer heat. Excellent breakfast. Staff are the friendliest, most accommodating people I've ever met. Book a sea view if you can (well worth it). Hotel is best value for money that I could find that was so close to everything.

Fantastic rooms, impeccable service, reasonably priced and perfectly situated. I'll save you the trouble of comparison shopping and advise you to book now. All others will not offer the blend of luxury and value.

I did not partake of the rooms but definitely the service and quality of the restaurant are very good.
