Our favorite hotel and destination on this trip! Perfect location to get the best views of the entire town. Once we got there it was easy to get to all the shops. My view from room 43 was perfection! The hotel staff was very professional and courteous! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

Best place to stay and eat in Positano! Had a corner room with balcony, great view of the city! Service was excellent, complimentary breakfast on the restaraunt patio is the best!

Restaurant was excellent. Service and especially the grilled octopus with zucaanni and Baratta AND Pasta with pesto were Devine.

Great Hotel In the Heart of Positano. Service From the Front Desk to The The Entire Staff was 5 Star. Complemetary Breakfast was nice Specialty coffee and Fresh Sqeezed Juices Rooms are very comfortable, Amazing View with very large terrace and they Have an Excellent Restaurant and Bar on Premises with Great Views.

From the first to the last dish are an explosion of flavors, a culinary experience hardly comparable to others. Fresh ingredients and hearty dishes.

This is a review for the cooking class offered here. *** We had the best experience at the cooking class at Buca di Bacco. The chefs were really fun and taught us a lot of tips for the dishes we prepared. We made four different dishes (potato gnocchi with homemade pesto, pizza, eggplant parmesan, and chocolate almond cake) and then had a family meal at the end with the two other couples in the class with us. They serve prosecco during the class and wine with the meal. A unique and fun experience for an afternoon in Positano!

It's a very nice place. The only thing is that your luggage takes to get to the hotel.

Wonderful, old fashioned service, cool and airy building with superb sea-view terraces. The breakfast is good and the bar is quiet but excellent. The dining is very reasonably priced but as good as any other we tried in the area. The beach is a stone's throw and towels can be borrowed/keys and valuables looked after at reception. This hotel contributes in no small part to my love of the Amalfi coast.

Hotel Buca di Bacco was among our favorite destinations during a recent vacation to Italy. The hotel itself is well appointed with beautifully decorated rooms. Our room, was perhaps the best room in the hotel… very spacious with a large balcony terrace looking out to the picturesque view of the Mediterranean and an opportunity to enjoy the peaceful oasis of the gentle rolling surf.
As wonderful as this hotel is, the real jewel is its owner, Senor Salvatore Rispoli and his attentive staff. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by smiling and happy faces! The front desk staffed by Giuseppe, Mario, Carla and and Max made our daily comings and going’s a most pleasant experience; always smiling and laughing with us. The servers, Salvatore & Catello could not have been more gracious! And finally, one cannot fully appreciate at stay at the Buca without experiencing their fantastic cooking class under the instruction of Chef Giuseppe! Thank you to everyone at the Buca di Bacco who made our stay a memory to last a lifetime!

Great service, view and food. We enjoyed the servers wine and food recommendations. If you want to eat on the beach, but not be in the middle of traffic, it is a perfect place!

Fabulous room, views to die for, breakfast every day was amazing. The staff were very happy and always willing to oblige. The restaurant was very good for dinner as well. Loved how you got a beach bag and towel to go down to the beach. Would definitely recommend this, the only downside was going up those stairs, but that's a minor detail.

Fantastic location and views of the main beach and surrounding part of Positano. Lovely staff and great intimate atmoshphere. Take advantage of the included breakfast and have it delivered to your room for a breakfast on your terrace looking out to the ocean. Room was very well appointed with toiletries, coffee/tea, kettle, bathrobes, and even a towel warmer.

My go to for a simple, easy, relatively well price meal in Positano. The staff are wonderful, attentive and know the menu quite well. They are open all day. I would highly recommend! Last time I ate here, I witnessed a wonderful proposal which no doubt the staff assisted in arranging.

Great location. Views from almost every single room. Make sure to get superior room as they are newer and better appointed than the older ones. Great balconies to see the sunset. Also, their breakfast buffet is hard to match. Great experience overall.

Wonderful! This was our last stop on our Italian honeymoon and it was perfect. The room was impeccably clean, but I think the terrace was the best part. Beautiful views of the town and sea. Make sure to upgrade to a room with a terrace! We were so thankful that the hotel was centrally located, without too many steps to the beach. We didn't need to use the courier service. We also took a cooking class at the hotel's restaurant — one of our favorite moments of the trip.

Just returned from 4 days staying in this beautiful hotel. Faultless. The staff are extremely helpful with transport porters and anything for your stay. The location is perfect. We stayed in room 41 and could have sat all day watching the boats in and out. The rooms are beautiful. Big bathrooms. Huge beds. Views from the bed onto the sea just amazing. Breakfast is everything and more you could want. We ate in the restaurant our last night. Good busy atmosphere and food incredible. We are returning next year and will stay the week even though people said it's small and 4 days is long enough. It's never long enough. We extended our stay for another day just to enjoy this beautiful place!

My wife and I stayed here in September 2016 with 4 other couples. It was the most wonderful experience of our lives. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The waiter knew our drink preferences the very next day! Always serving with a Buongiorno and a smile. The front desk staff helped with taxi service or a recommendation. The location could not have been more picturesque. The view from our balcony was superb and breakfast on the veranda was breathtaking. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone! We purchase the scented oil reeds that were throughout the hotel to take home to remind us of the fresh aroma smell of the hotel. Each morning I come downstairs it reminds me of my fantastic trip to Positano and our stay at Hotel Buca di Bacco!

I got to try this restaurant. And I can tell you very satisfied! Fresh dishes very good service. Prices higher than normal but we can be seen the location a few steps from the sea. Recommended.

Stayed here 2 nights. Was a wonderful hotel, wished we had done an extra day here instead of Florence by the end of it. Balcony view was incredible, best breakfast selection I've ever had, room was quite nice and comfortable. The staff may have arguably been the best part, extremely kind and helpful. Made some great recommendations as well as making reservations and calling taxis when needed. Can't recommend this hotel enough.

We had an amazing child friendly cooking class here in April. Chef Giuseppe and Luigi were absolutely amazing. Our class was very fun and I now want to make my own tomato sauce, pesto, pizza, gnocchi, and zucchini parmesan at home. We got a cookbook, chef hat, apron, and gnocchi utensil along with a certificate. Then we ate our cooking in the beautiful beachfront restaurant with their house wine while the kids played on the beach. Highly recommend!

Great looking hotel. Fantasist views of the Positano beaches and scenery. Tasty complimentary breakfast with very friendly service. Mostly friendly front desk staff, but the front desk forced a room change to two members of our party in the AM right before we were going on a Capri boat ride. Some of the front desk staff were rude about it and they could have warned us the previous night. Although the Wifi is complementary (as it should be for these room rates), it was very slow. Many international travelers do not have unlocked phones and rely heavily on Wifi/Internet for text/voice/video communication, travel plans, etc. Speed was 1.3Mbps download and ~0.5Mbps upload. In 2014, that is unacceptable.
