We booked our wedding with James and Michelle back in October 2019 and had our special day on 09th of April 2022. They were so helpful, gave us so many ideas and tips. The service on day was like no other, food was amazing and attention to detail was perfect. So many people praised the hotel and their food on the day. Finally got to this place for the famous Ultimate Surf'n'turf and wow! It was the most delicious platter of food I have ever eaten. The choice of seafood along with the steak was to die for. Will most definitely be back soon.

Stayed last Saturday night and had a wonderful experience — excellent Guinness, delicious bar food, cosy room, fantastic staff throughout and an amazing breakfast — beautiful views and great hospitality — couldn't have asked for more! — oh and a very reasonable rate! Highly recommend x.

Perfect location, attentive and friendly staff. Clean, modern, comfortable rooms, great food in large portions. Views from front bar, lounge, dining room and front bedrooms truly spectacular. Lift to upper floor bedrooms, some available with walk in shower though without the views as rear facing. Parking at front and opposite, only thing missing is dedicated disabled spaces. But saying that hotel fully accessible with one of our party in wheelchair and one with walking difficulty. Unbeatable.

So we just had our wedding in Caisleáin Óir last week… such a high standard of service! The food was superb and the atmosphere was amazing! The staff were so professional and friendly! But the thing that just made it for us was how much thought and effort James, Michelle and the entire crew put into our day! I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!

There were four of in for a meal last nite, it was absolutely delicious, the waitress really looked after us, great friendly staff, an thanks to chef for wonderful sharing platter,

We had our wedding here on the 10th August and it was wonderful. From the start James, Michelle and all the staff were so helpful. They went out of their way to help us set up, and offer ideas and extras for our wedding theme. On the day everyone commented on what a great venue it was from the location, the staff, the food. Everything was just perfect. Thankyou so much for everything and Caisleain Oir will always be a special place for us and one we will regularly return to.

An absolutely stunning venue for the family wedding we attended this past weekend. Every single member of staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a fantastic time from the minute we walked through the door. Every detail was so carefully thought out and executed. The food and drinks reception before dinner was the nicest I've ever experienced and the meal itself was faultless; the food was just fabulous. Stunning scenery, phenomenal food and delightful staff made our experience first class! Míle buíochas!

Highest possible recommendation! One of the best Wedding venues I have ever experienced — stunning coastal setting on The Wild Atlantic Way, sumptuous menu and tasteful decor but all of this is topped by the service and friendly, helpful attitude of James and al his staff. This was noted by all our guests. They could not have done more to give us a perfect day for our daughter’s wedding. Our sincere thanks for this.

Such a lovely hotel. I so enjoyed our night. Our bedroom view looked right at the sea. Beautful. And their food — the best Scampi in Ireland — not joking. Big succulent prawns in a very light batter. Defo 5 stars for me!

Had the most fantastic day at Our niece's wedding yesterday. Great to have all the glamour and finesse of a top class hotel on your doorstep.

We planned a surprise 30th party at the hotel over the weekend… James and all the staff were amazing. From the minute we started the planning, they helped with everything … they took note of the cocktails that Aoife would like and made a personalised cocktail menu… we sat for a meal before the surprise and the food and service was top class! The food for the party was just amazing too everyone was complimenting it! … James and ALL THE STAFF are so friendly and “on …the ball” you can tell they will always go above and beyond for all their guests! … I really can’t praise them enough! They were also very kind and upgraded us to the newly redesigned Honeymoon Suite for the night and its top class! Thanks so much for all the help and everything you’ve done! Look forward to another excuse to get back in there! Well done and keep up the good work!

Had diner there yesterday and it was great they staff there are the absolute best I had my little neice with me and and they were so kind to her and as we were leaving one guy came out and gave her two lolipops she was delighted thank you so much I would highly recommend this place excellent.

Friendly family run hotel. The rooms have beautiful views overlooking the bay. Food is fantastic and the very generous portion sizes will knock you out. Highly recommended.

En route home from Donegal, and I get a call from James to say he is coming to Derry to meet us, because we left our passports in the room, luckily Ryanair are letting us fly, but where else would you get this kind of kindness. That is on top of 4 wonderful days and nights in Thus wonderful hotel. As always the food and service are second to none, I have never seen a hotel so busy as it was yesterday on Mother’s Day, yet Anita, Michelle, James and Joe still find the time to make you so welcome, the food is just amazing, it will not be beaten for value. And then of course you are on the doorstep of stunning blue flag beaches and the most stunning scenery. Thankyou all once again, see you in July if not before.

Was there 14th 15th Feb two day short break loved the hotel and the location, from the moment we arrived until we left the staff were brilliant. Bedroom good size comfortably very clean. Weather not good as you would expect this time of year, but lovely to just sit in the bar with a hot whisky looking out over the bay hopefully will be back next month for my birthday for another couple of days o! Forgot to mention the food very good.

Fabulous restaurant and bar. The food is amazing. Beautiful setting, staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is simply gorgeous. It's the place to go for a good night's crack and it's very child friendly. Caislean Oir has it all. It's the holiday makers dream.

Had dinner here. Good food (particularly the scampi) and generous portions. The staff are friendly and we're happy to put on the football match that I wanted to watch.

Best food in Ireland. You won't come out of here hungry, as seems to be the norm in other eateries, lately. Prices are hood too, and a stone's throw from the sea, sure what more could you want.
