Hotel very old worldly with the benifit of modern day service and equipment. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Lovely relaxing place with beautiful views of the legendary cascades.

We were attracted to the Falls Hotel by a full page magazine advert, showing glossy photos of the exterior and health spa. While the public areas and spa lived up to the billing, the bedroom was very dated: worn furniture and a bathroom suite straight out of 1984, complete with rusty fittings and archaic shower. Not my idea of value at €205 per night B&B.

Very elegant quite a pleasant surprise. Beautiful views. Service in the restaurant could use some tuning but overall a great experience.

Great hotel in a beautiful setting. Lovely walk to the town via the waterfall. Food was great. Lost our way a few times in the hotel.

If ever you want time away this place is a welcome respite. Well maintained clean and fresh. The jewel in the crown is unbelievable views of the falls.

Beautiful property, and very friendly staff. Great view of the river from some of the rooms and also from the bar/ restaurants. Dined at the bar one evening and enjoyed the food also. Finally, the gym/pool facility is excellent for a hotel — squat racks, 2 benches and many free weights+ 2 rowers and many other cardio machines. 20m lap pool and 2 jacuzzis (one outside) thumbs up.

Lovely setting, clean comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Food at dinner was pretty good but I did feel the breakfast was bit of a great standard. Very low level buffet.

Very nice oldshool hotel with modern additions. Situated right on the river, great views of the river and falls from the bar, restaurant and spa (and some rooms). Lovely spa with small outdoor hot tub, pool is big enough for a good swim, steam room and sauna looks out on the river. Short walk from the lovely town of Ennistymon. Friendly donkeys in the field in front.

Good hotel with a decent breakfast. We were woken up early in the morning with workers doing some resurfacing in the parking area. Besides that, it was a good experience for us travelling as a family with a young child.

Very friendly staff. Lovely setting. Bedrooms and facilities excellent. Plenty of parking. Walking distance from town centre. Good food.

Let us be tempted by the recessions and booked two nights there. Unfortunately, the pictures do not correspond to reality. The rooms were nice and clean, however, it smelled throughout the hotel for "retirement home". The "Spa area" also goes far beyond the pictures and is also visited by external guests heavily frequented (also the cleanliness, V. A. In the sauna leaves to be desired). The hotel is certainly nice for an upscale audience, but for us as a young couple not very nice.

I took my grandson on a little trip and we decided on the Falls Hotel & Spa, in Ennistymon. Beautiful setting, friendly & welcoming staff, car parking, pool with spa treatments available complete with entertainment in the bar. Food was good, great selection of locally sourced produce well presented for the enjoyment of their guests. The bed provided a sound and solid 8 hour unbroken sleep which for me is five stars alone. The local area is definitely worth a visit as it has some of the most beautiful and breathtaking scenery on the Wild Atlantic Way. The hotel offers country music weekends and provide entertainment, activities and much more for children! Worth having a look at their website as County Clare has so much to offer you definitely will not be disappointed!

Nice hotel with good food and service. Our room however, while spotless and very comfortable, was dated and could have done with a revamp. The window pane was shaking in the frame, bits of tile grout were coming up in the bathroom etc. Lovely products though, great bed and service was fantastic also.

We stayed from 1st to 3rd January. I asked for a room with walk in shower and got a lovely corner room. You can adjust the heat in the room. All the staff were lovely. I note another comment stated hotel needs modernisation, the bar shut on 2nd for same and will reopen on 25th. Bar menu and restaurant menu available in the restaurant. I asked for a salad sandwich and got a pasta bowl with well filled sandwich, rocket leaves and cheese shavings with mayonnaise, a dish of coleslaw and crisps — all for €4.50. Excellent value and lovely. Evening dinner was excellent and generous portions. Foyer looked lovely and festive, fire burning. Will definitely be back.

I have to say this hotel is just simply everything we were looking for. From the fantastic staff to the amazing food and just wonderful atmosphere at the bar and throughout the hotel and also the beautiful surroundings, I can only say just simply wonderful. We did not want to leave and this is coming from a person who works in this industry every day. Keep up the amazing effort and work you all do everyday and we will definitely be returning. Thank you all for an amazing time.

Stayed for one night as part of a hen party. Very scenic location! The food is super. We had a beautiful 3 course meal! I had Black pudding salad, Thai vegetarian curry and sticky toffee pudding all very tasty and reasonable. Rooms very hot, turn off radiators when you go into room. Breakfast was very good too. Hotel is like a maize. A few things could be improved. But all in all it was a super stay.

This hotel had very large well appointed rooms. My room was probably updated recently. Finding the parking lot is kind of tricky, you have to drive out back. The breakfast in the morning was your typical tourist buffet in the large dining room. The best part is the view of the falls out the front door of the hotel. Don't know if they have rooms in the old building that is the facade of the hotel but if you could get a room overlooking the falls it would be great. Stayed in October which must be off season because there were only two patrons in the bar which seats 100+ customers. Would stay here again.

We are fairly regular visitors to the Falls Hotel, not as residents, but as diners in general. The views are stunning, and the general ambiance is quite good. The food is quite good also, but varies from visit to visit, and we've had one quite bad lunch there in our many visits. One point I'd like to highlight though, and that has to do with the change we got after paying for our meals, on one occasion earlier this year we were short changed by a Euro (it's not gonna break the bank to be honest) but again only yesterday we had the same experience, another Euro short in our change. now once can be a mistake, but twice is more than a coincidence. If I'm going to leave a tip (and I always do) I'd much prefer to leave it on a voluntary basis rather than having it taken by stealth. Other than that I found the Falls Hotel to be a most beautiful place indeed. I can't vouch for the rooms, as we have never stayed there as guests. The donkeys are a great added feature, and are very popular with adults and children alike. I'm attaching a pic I took on one of our earlier visits this year 2017.

Really depends on your luck here. Some days you get a staff member that's great and other days they see you as an inconvenience. Don't expect too much service but it is a great place for kids as it has plenty of space and a lovely grounds with donkeys and a beautiful woods nearby.

Very pleasant hotel in all areas to feel good. Great food both breakfast buffet and evening menu. Recommended.

A borderline two star. Our stay was quite disappointing. The staff was friendly and the view is fantastic, but what was once a grand hotel has come and gone. The rooms were large but filthy, the mattresses and decor well due to be changed decades ago, and the food overall was terrible. It may be a good option for large groups visiting the cliffs if one forgoes the food.

What is all the hype about? Great location, nice rooms and a warm feel yes, but after that it is quite disappointing. The spa was okay, but the steam-room was not working and the sauna is fake, i. E. There was no chimney! The dinner that was included int the package was stuck int the 90s. Everything was over cooked and bland. The red wine was drinkable but too warm. PS the donkeys on the yard were cute :)

We have stayed in The falls several times and find it the perfect place to get away from it all and chill out. An amazing location, wonderful, friendly staff, food top class and really comfortable beds. Looking foreward to our next visit.

Great hotel. A little dated in some of the older bedrooms but it's not expensive. Good food in the restaurant and bar. Has amazing views from the bar and from the front door looking back over the river to the town.

Stayed in this beautiful good mix of old and new style hotel on a summer break to Co Clare, we were very happy with our time spent in the hotel and also its location just up from the beautiful water falls in Ennistymon, such a lovely town and very well located for traveling around Co Clare, the staff in the hotel are so helpful and caring to their guest, like the kids club and even doe I have small kids this hotel do cater very well for teenagers with what I seen with a games room, I loved the leisure centre has a good pool very good gym out door Jacuzzi, good steam room and sauna, loved the food, very good service well worth the money, beautiful breakfast each morning very good staff, will be back again hopefully soon, Thanks so much for the lovely stay.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff in the hotel are all very friendly and very helpful. There was a lovely atmosphere in the Hotel and the Hotel was spotless. We ate in both the Thai Restaurant and in the Bar. The food was excellent 10/10. The Hotel itself is in a beautiful location, overlooking the falls. We will be back soon. Well done to all the staff.

Having stayed in your hotel very recently, I forgot to write my satisfaction for the stay at the time so I'm glad to do so now. I stayed with a friend of mine who had recommended her pleasant stay in the summertime. We stayed for 2 nights bed and breakfast and found the standard of both excellent. We swam in the pool and even used the outdoor tub, in the September sunshine. We had dinner in the restaurant too and the lamb first class. I was very satisfied with the whole experience of staying in your hotel, not having stayed there since the late '70's when I stayed with my husband and young children. Well done on the work of extending the hotel and enhancement of the beauty of the surroundings. I look forward to my next visit. Kay Scanlan, Co Kildare.

Ok. You wouldn't be blown away by this hotel, basic but clean and everything you need and expect from a hotel. Steam room and pool area very good. Excellent for young families and beach very close.
