Highly recommended, lots of activities offered. Not far from Ubud Square too.

My first glimpse of this resort has me hooked. Really really traditional. Of course because the decoration and the staff’s uniform. Visesa offers rice field view around its resorts. They provides pool villas and the ordinary ones (without private pool). Room’s nice, they have smart TV in it. Breakfast is nice too. I’ll give 5 stars even their phone in my room doesn’t work at all.

We stayed at The Visesa Ubud Resort for five nights in July 2018. We had purchased this through Living Social and had booked a Premier Suite, but then emailed the resort to require a change it to a One Bedroom Pool Villa, which they replied, that we could upgrade and pay the extra when we arrive. We were so looking forward to having our own pool, but when we arrived at the resort we were told that there were no pool villa's available. We were very disappointed and asked that if there are any cancellations, could they let us know. They said they would, but after asking every day of our stay, it wasn't until coming up to our last day they said they said one was available for one night, so we took them up on the availability. We didn't make a fuss, although I think we should have done in hindsight, if they didn't have one available then there should have been some sort of compensation. The position of the resort pool is positioned in the wrong place, too close to the lobby area and far too small for the amount of people in the resort, and very cold water! Tour of resort was disappointing, because each time we were free and wanted to take the tour, there were fully booked. The resort taxi service from resort to Ubud way over priced. The equivalent in Aus $ would be about $10 for such a short journey.

Beautiful place; heavenly setting. We stayed in the rooms and were not disappointed! great theme of a rice paddy field/balinese village.

This place is next level. Upon arrival we received a drink, warm welcome and a tour of the resort (it's huge). Our villa has a private pool, fish pond, outdoor shower, the works. Staff are beautiful and very friendly and I would recommend any one to stay here. It's a bit out of the hustle and bustle of Ubud, but there is a regular free shuttle in to town.

Beautiful resort, though not really a 5 star experience. We reserved our spot on the shuttle in to town, but it wasnt honored as we were skipped over by those who didn't. Had to wait a while for the next one and no apologies were given. Breakfast selection is exceptional though the food quality is average and the sausages on offer taste like hot dogs. We had better at our prior 3 star hotel. As you'd expect from a resort, it's far from the main area so it lacks the variety of restaurants and nightlife you can find in town. As expect of an upscale resort, everything is obscenely priced compared to prices in town. On the upside, the staff are very friendly and accomodating, and the campus is lovely. Though the price does not reflect quality compared to what can be found elsewhere. Still good value by western standards.

Best place we stayed in all of Bali. Staff are all exceptionally warm and welcoming. Really made us feel so relaxed and at home. We had a pool villa which was absolutely beautiful. It was cleverly screened with reeds for privacy and looked onto a field. I really enjoyed feeling close to nature seeing and listening to ducks, birds, frogs and various fish and insects whereas my other half hates creepy crawlies and was very comfortable since they all stayed well away from our pool and villa. They have a lovely little gym with a sweet view of the rice field. It's all very nicely designed. The breakfast was really good with a wide variety of foods and the best scrambled eggs I've had outside of my mum's house. Thank you so much for an amazing time.

Such kind people, had a wonderful time. Food was delicious, facilities were clean and hygienic. Highly recommend staying here, we had such an awesome time. Ask for a half day taxi and they will show you a lot of Ubud!

I planned on staying for just 5 nights and my friend and I extending for another 5 nights because it was such an amazing experience. You feel completely pampered. My number one goal was to relax and heal. Visesa is the perfect place for that. It’s pricier than a lot of places in Ubud, but obviously a steal compared to American prices. They make you feel like royalty.

Staff were fantastic. Warm, obliging and friendly. They are so willing to please you. Breakfast was good and the scrambled eggs were the best. Perfect. We stayed in the villa and the facilities were Nothing negative to say about our stay there. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one.

Off-season c is cheaper but rainy during the monsoon this place is beautiful. The reception is very professional. But we had problems when we arrived… Room not ready after 16 hours of flight. This sucks. Problem of slipping in the bathroom open. Restaurant very expensive We ate there only once for the rest everything is very expensive the spa. We preferred to go downtown to where everything is half price. The city hotel shuttles are free of charge. The staff are very helpful by professionalism but do not release more than that in sympathy. Short place wonderful but not eat there!

Very nice villa and outstanding service. The breakfast were great, they serve almost all the menu you needed (western and asian menu). Don't hesitate to came here, especially the villa with private plunge pool and green scenery in the back yard. So relaxing :)

The Desa Visesa is absolutely incredible. They have their own permaculture gardens on site which is where majority of the ingredients for their food and cocktails are from. We stayed in a one bedroom pool villa and it was very relaxing and private. The staff are very attentive and just lovely people. So beautiful!

This hotel is one of the best in Ubud. Once you enter you'll be welcomed with a lovely ceremony. The hotel itself includes a village where you can see farmers working and littles ones playing and having dance lessons and where you can be engaged in their daily activities like gathering the animals, making offerings, feeding the ducks, learning Indonesian dance, doing yoga… They have one of the best spas in the area where you can meet and get some healing massage from an authentic healer but the prices a so expensive comparing to Ubud center where I can have massage for 10$. The hotel provides a free shuttle every hour to Ubud palace in center Ubud. The staff are so professional and helpful. The pool is small but nice to have a small swim and sit around especially with kids. A morning walk in the forest which you can access from the hotel, or a small warmout at the outdoor gym of the hotel would be also nice. The food is very nice, and you can find a lot of choices at the breakfast buffet. If you are looking for relaxation, and have a good amount of money to spend, so this hotel would be perfect to stay at.

Great Hotel! Our stay was perfect. The setting is splendid with rice paddies and lush vegetation. The staff are always smiling and attentive.

Vise: The most beautiful hotel I've been to! In the middle of the paddy fields they want to plunge you into the skin of the farmers and workers balinesiens we made an afternoon of initiation where they made us go around the hotel, put in situation: we planted vegetables and trees, directed cows in the Mud… The breakfast is very copious and very good!
Food delivery Service H24 staff always smiling attentive and helpful always with small attentions we were in a room with private pool very nice room and suite and the bathroom is at the top!
I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to spend some quiet moments away from the tourist spots in Bali.
They are in Trin to build many new spots for weddings etc. This hotel will become inevitable if it's not already the that!
The best and most beautiful hotel I have been so far! In the middle of the rice paddy.
They wanna put us in the skin of farmer and Balinese workers that's why on an afternoon they initiated us to this they showed us around, explained every little thing and then we "drove cows" and we planted vegetables and plants it was amazing!
The Breakfast: There is a lot of choice and it's reaaaaaaally good!

Not bad but there are better places.

This resort is all about relaxing and care. They have a lot of activity about the land, animal care and well-being. The rooms are great, we had a 2 bedroom pool villa and it was just right for 4 people, Mind you they kept only setting table for two people. The resort food is great but a little pricey, and cocktails are very pricey. The staff are very good, attentive and happy, but I did find they ask what we are doing to much wanting to sell a tour or something, maybe they are trying to be nice but some times comes across a little pushy.

Great hotel, nice and cosy villas. Staff is very friendly and provides great service. It’s a little bis outside Ubud in the rice fields but the hotel offers a frequent free shuttle with Buggies. The spa offers great massages in very scenic locations (cave, rice fields).

1. Space is big and secretive and quiet, villa type, Public/Private Pool.
2. Room Service with buffet Breakfast food is very delicious.
3. The gym outdoors in the thatched house down (laughs).
4. The location away from Ubud city has some distance, the need to pay attention to go back to the way.

Service was exceptional and the resort was an oasis. Beautiful home away from home. Highlight was the antigravity yoga class hosted in the open air classroom ($50 AUD) and massage package ($70-$170). Cheaper definitely exists but the experience and surrounds were unrivaled. We will be back!

We stayed for four nights in this hotel.
The rooms are very spacious and really very clean. The staff are lovely and very very helpful.
The hotel is magnigique and very well integrated into the landscape, it is like a botanical garden!

Good 5 * Hotel but not the most peaceful of Ubud, the private villas are in my opinion too close to the lobby and the central pool which prevents to be perfectly quiet.

Just magical: typical of the country with respect for local traditions and real displacement.

Great resort to stay. Spacious suite room surrounded by rice field. Love the concept of bringing the old Balinese tradition come alive in this amazing resort! Oh, food was great too.

Just beautiful. To relax, very quiet, an extraordinary spa, from the staff of the first to the last to the small care for you, to make you feel the best possible. Amazing gardens. The restaurant is good, the breakfast very very good. Room extraordinary, modern. Impeccable cleanliness. A shuttle to downtown Ubud. For me everything was really perfect.

One of the best ever … dont miss the place amazing like a real heaven. Staff and locals are so friendly. No one will ask u for morny or tip or try to play games with u. They are truly kind.

A very good experience with Visesa. The staffs are in traditional Balinese attire and are always ready to help. The services offered included free shuttle service from Ubud, Spa, Gym, Private Pool, Swimming Pool, bicycles, Restaurant. Loved the location and place.

A beautiful peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of busy Ubud Central. The staff are fantastic, very attentive and attempt to answer your every need. The rooms are large and very well designed with fine attention to detail, though appliances could have been of higher quality. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

Amazing hotel with both rooms and villas. Located 2 km north of Ubud palace. Can't recommend walking there but if you stay at the hotel you don't have to. Free shuttles is offered to and from hotel to Ubud palace. Staff is very helpful and always strive to give you the best possible service. Remember to walk the whole compound as there are lots of things to see and do.

Cannot recommend this enough. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and would go back to do it again tomorrow. The rooms are exquisite, the outdoor shower and bath in a forest setting was a highlight.

What a beautiful hotel in a beautiful spot! Ubud is a busy place in the centre, so to be tucked away up in the hills with a free hotel shuttle into town every hour — you have the best of both worlds. The staff are AMAZING, the daily activities like mountain biking through the villages and yoga out on the deck are a must too. Lying by the pool, there's pampering sessions, free fruit and a table service, it's idyllic. We were super sad to leave, but we did so with a big smile on our faces because it's such a brilliant hotel. I look forward to coming back one day soon!

A fantastic resort in Ubud, the service is outstanding, the food at the restaurant is great and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. It's definitely worth it to splurge to get the private pool if you can! Also, the hotel has a shuttle to downtown Ubud so despite being a bit far from the hustle and bustle, it's very convenient to get to and from there.

An idyllic hotel in the heart of the rice field, ecological, very extensive guest service.

We, a family of 4 with one baby and one small child, really liked this place. It is located inbetween rice fields/ terraces with beautiful views. Further the resort ist working together with local farmers and you can watch how they are working and the rice is growing. The resort offer lots of activities for kids like fish feeding, duck feeding, duck eggs collecting and so on. Our oldest child enjoy the kids club very much. We really recommend to join the village tracking, which is a very detailed tour through rice terraces. We stayed in a Arjuna Villa and it was nice, with an own little pool and a king size bed. The condition of the villa was very good. The staff was always polite and always actively want to take care about us and offering support anytime. The only thing, which could be better ist the choice at breakfast. Sure there is Western style, Indonesian style and some east asian dishes offered and all of them are good, just the amount of choices of especially asian food could be more.

Located in harmony with nature, I felt comfortable and highly valued as guest from check-in to check-out. The staff was very friendly and the original Balinesian food terrific.

I stayed two nights here in Oct. beautiful view, well trained staffs, It is little bit far from center of ubud But you can get there easily by shuttle.

We happened upon this resort on a nature walk in Ubud and were delighted to see a little gazebo offering drinks/food in the fields. They charged us 160, 000 rupiah for two sparkling waters! The same price as two of their dinner entrees! When we brought this to their attention, they acted like they didn't understand what was wrong … as if the price of water should be the same as grilled fish in a banana leaf! They have gotten good reviews on this site, so hopefully this was a misunderstanding, but to my knowledge the very same people who charged us spoke English fairly well and seemed knowledgeable enough to comprehend that what they were doing was wrong.

Very friendly staff gave us a small ceremony in the beginning of the "enchanted" received. Super beautifully landscaped grounds with a private rice field and garden to supply the Restaurants. We have us very comfortable here, Mr. And Mrs. Klaus felt.
