Pros (+) — Nice restaurant, decent area, near to beach, neat and clean water. Good behaviour of staff, good rooms.

Not enough ventilation and no power backup. Staffs are good and coperative. Location wise it's bit inside and not near the beach. It is actually 1km away from rock beach.

I loved the room. The place the restuarant. Infact its awesome.

This hotel will 200 percent ruin your holiday plan. There is no electricity in this hotel. We have been there for one day, half a day power cut. They don't even have UPS or generator. Worst response from the staffs. Don't stay here. waste of money.

Good and spacious rooms. Restaurant available beside serves good food. Rock Beach can be accessed by 10 minutes walk.

Good place to stay. Food is awesome. Only drawback is it's far away from Beaches and other tourist attractions.

Neat and spacious rooms. Good customer service. Thanks to Kevin (staff) for making our lives easy in Pondy. From getting us the two wheelers and cycles and guiding. I definitely recommend this hotel.

We were 4 members. They have an cluster in which 2 rooms are attached with kitchen 1 balcony and 1 toilet facility. If you close the main door full cluster is yours. Staff is very polite. Plus walking distance from rock beach. Good locality. Calm and peace. Cozy room. Overall very good experience.

The hotel is very near to the puducherry station, and is very convenient to reach, just 300 m from the former. Service is okayish, and cleanliness is fine. Good for shorter stays.

Worst Hotel where anyone can ever check in. We booked two rooms for two nights we even confirmed our booking over phone, but as we entered the hotel and tried to check in they denied our booking. In spite of showing our booking receipt they did not let us enter. They even denied the fact that they confirmed the booking over phone. We payed 3480 INR as an advance booking amount but not a single penny was refunded after the issue. Instead they were offering a service apartment with high price. Rooms are very dirty. The hotel is very shabby. They don't have proper parking space and the road is very narrow. No elevators and very narrow stair case. Their service mans are horrible. They don't have any coordination amongst themselves. Please don't ever step in this hotel. You will be ruined horribly.

Value for money. Not very great but it will meet your expectations at some level for this price major disadvantage is having no lift. Though no dedicated parking place avIlable but You can park your vehicle in adjacent street. Adjacent restaurant serve good food and beer on request.

Great place! 5 min walk to the railway station, 10 min walk to MG road (shopping district, bike rentals) … Clean and spacious rooms. You can use the common washroom to freshen up and charge your phone in the reception, head out for the day. AC and Wi-Fi router in every room, Decent speeds with the Wi-Fi. Worth the money you pay for. Do eat at Baker Street nearby and their restaurant Les Chefs serves great food just at little higher rates. Locality is fairly peaceful and with a step outside to the main road, you have access to Restaurants, Ice cream shops and rooftop lounges. Excellent value for money recommended.

This hotel is well placed, the rooms are well equipped with hot water, fridge, air conditioning and a good thick mattress which is not luxury in India… They are spacious and clean. The reception is warm and gives good advice. I recommend on Pondicherry.

I would recommend this for all who would like to tour Pondicherry. Nice restaurant. Great friendly staff.

Very Very dirty, sheets were not changed from previous people and when we demanded them to be changed staff asked for tips! For this services. Toilets and batrooms full of filth it does not look like it has ever been properly cleaned. Toilet contained yellow substance on the seat. No toilet paper, initially no towels when we got them they were filthy grey. Rooms were full of dust and mould in the fridge. All furniture dirty never been cleaned. Food waist and rubbish in the corridors and bird waist everywear. Terrible experience! Avoid this dirty place like a plague! Breakfast was included but seeing standards of hygine in the rooms we were too scared to eat there. Very surprised that other people scored so high this hotel as it was very poor standard for the price we paid.

A good to stay. Bt the service was poor… v hv been struggled fr the room tat v booked… 2hrs been wasted fr arguing n changing of rooms.

They are so hospitable, loved the ambience and worth for money. It's 15 mins walk from the bus station. From hotel it's just 10mins walk to rock beach.

Don't consider this as a hotel, at best it's a home stay with many rooms. The only thing to like about this hotel is its location. It's in white town, so the promenade beach and all good restaurants are in the vicinity. Now coming to the parts where I didn't like this. — room service: restaurant is a seperate entity and everytime you order you have to wait forever to get it. I asked for plates and cutlery as I ordered food from outside, they only provided me one saying they have shortage. I asked for one extra pillow for my daughter they didn't had. Room had no glasses, when asked they arranged disposable glasses on charge basis. Complimentary Breakfast was at best a big joke. On 2 nights, I understood the breakfast is what is left from last night's dinner service. They offered korma and roti in breakfast. When we asked for bread and omlette, it was chargeable. 80 rs. For omlette. AC was not at all working in room no. 301 and they just had nothing to say except saying "problem happens in running rooms" they didn't offer any other room or any refund. Having stayed in many nature resorts, I understand that mosquitoes and other flies are commonly found. But not sure why it was there all around in the hotel. And when flies are there, lizards were also there to eat it. Lol. Ladies beware. This is my worst rating of any hotel, but I am writing this to ensure that everybody reading this goes there with a clear picture of the hotel.

The rooms are good, it's a bit difficulty to find the hotel but hotel environment is good and economic.

Excellent place very well maintained by owner ram and his wife. Rooms are very spacious and neat and clean, prompt room service, Wi-Fi speed is awesome and guys don't forget to have food in le chefs. The food there is awesome specially try all their starters and if you are a non vegetarian definitely try some sea food.

Its located in a street and the food is average The rooms are good but the Wi-Fi doesnt work.

Wow! Love this place, hotel is doing justice with there price range, hospitality and staffs are good. Nice place to stay.

The greatest advantage of staying in this hotel was that it was really close to almost all tourist attractions. It's also a great place for solo travellers. The staffs are friendly. However one might feel a bit lack of privacy as the rooms are separated only by a door.

Clean and spacious rooms and on a good quiet location. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Room was well furnished. It's almost 1 km distant from Sri Aurobindo Ashram and the beach along with Mahatma Gandhi Statue and French war memorial.

Excellent Room. Affordable rates. Walking distance from beach and Market. Excellent service by staff. Worth staying. For food Surguru is the best option.
