It's a decent average hotel. Old building and infrastructure. The restaurant inside the hotel serves average food.

Oldest of a luxury hotel in M. G road kochi with ample parking space. A good restaurant with bar facilities around for a quick meals also is a highlight with Woodlands. One can stay here if on a official or leisure trip to Kochi as this hotel is in the heart of town so is accessible to all shopping or corporates in and around Kochi. M. G road is the business hub of Kochi apart from Vyttila bypass in the making. Historical building if one can say as to, not very old but has traditional value added to Woodlands Hotel. Not very expensive but with a modern touch for a buffet, lunch, biriyani or dishes of fish are a favourite here.

Overall the stay is ok, very close to plenty of good restaurants. For a quick travellers/bachelor's, it is definitely a good place for a night stay.

Good behavior by the staff… Complimentary breakfast was good. Hot water facilities available. Good traditional budget hotel.

1 It took 45 minutes to find receiptionist and another 15 minutes to completete check in formalities. 2. Probably for OYO bookings, the. Worst rooms are allotted. Room No. 104 was stinking. 3. Though informed in advance — check in by 0530/04.07.18 and check out by 2100/04.07.18 and got confirmed that 1 and 1/2 days charges are tobe paid, at the time of checkout forced to pay for 2 days. Grateful if excess amount collected is refunded.

This is a historic place in Kochi city. It's close to Maharajas ground besides grand hotel. It's very old place. The highlight of this place is its delicious vegetarian food. The Tamil style dosa sambar chutney are all its pluses. This place also provides you accomodation but the building has become too old and the architecture is as old as that. This has been taken up by Oyo now and they have tried their maximum to maintain this well and good. They have also successfully done that. The lightings and the beds, the bathrooms and balconies have all been well maintained. They also provide good room service with only vegetarian options available. The pricing of the rooms are also reasonable with rates starting from 900 rs. They also have ac as well as non AC rooms. It's a good place for a short visit to the city.

A pure Vegetarian hotel. Foods are delicious. Price equals the quality. Furnitures are good. Atmosphere is great. Best for family and friends. Serving takes a bit time.

The hotel is situated in MG Road near woodland junction. Metro works are going on besides the hotel. For this reason the hotel remained closed for long time as the approach had been very congested. The same has opened very recently. The staffs are new and untrained. There is no proper chef. Foods available are not good. They staffs are not hospitable. Foods are very costly in terms of their quality and quantity. Building is having old fashioned infrastructure.

The metro rail work has dampened their business and it's reflecting in their food quality. I guess it'll improve in time. Going with 4 stars at the moment.

It's a pure veg restaurant and hotel. Maybe nice to have the morning and evening desi food. And rooms r available at reasonable rates. It's in the middle of the city — at MG road with easy accessibility to malls, textile shops, bus stand, railway stations, metro station.

Vegetarian. Have been there for ages. A little jaded now. Still going good.

This is just a faded memory of what might have been a vibrant place a long time back. The large wooden pillars in the restaurant suggest what might have been. I was the only person in the restaurant when I went in. The first dosa was a good one. But the second one was not properly cooked. The washroom badly needs restoration. Go only if you are desperste.

A bit deserted in my opinion, probably due to the renovation work going on. It starts off with me and my family waiting 15 minutes as they couldn't confirm our booking, even though it was done 2 days prior. They made it seem like there were no rooms available. But eventually we made it to the room. The suite room was spacious indeed, it just lacked an elegant look. Tiny old air conditioning units were placed for a big room, a tiny TV set kept at the corner, a weird layout really. The bathroom seemed old. Taps were on the verge of getting detached. Nothing was really done to give the rooms a fresh look. Oh I almost forgot the incident where our sleep was disturbed. Someone comes at 2:30 a. M to ring our doorbell. Obviously thinking it could be someone else, we we're hesitant to open the door and communicated via a closed door. "I've brought hot water". If it was the actual hotel staff, are you out of your mind to ring us at such an early time? If it was not, what kind of security are you maintaining? Please step up your game before your reputation goes down to the dumps. As for the Rangoli restaurant, the food was just fine, nothing beyond good quality. Fortunately we only stayed there for 1 night and 1 day. The hotel has to be shut down and renovated all together instead of floor by floor renovation and the staff need a bit of rejuvenation. Terrible experience.

It wasn't a good experience at all. I had ordered a Ghee Roast which was really small and didn't taste good at all. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. This is not the kind of hotel that was there a few years ago.

Old facility in a very convenient location. Lacks maintenance. 3 days back, the receptionist mentioned that the first floor is being renovated. 2 minutes walking distance from Maharajas College Metro station. Their suite rooms are really spacious.

Very poor. Had booked two rooms for 14th December in advance from Mumbai, and had confirmation with a remark that I can pay when I check in. However when I checked in I was talled that hotel can give one room only. Can not give another room as I had not paid advance and now room not available. This is unbusinesslike and insulting. I have not checked in and checked in at other hotel.

Free Wi-Fi but not working, poor room service, there are badbugs.

This restaurant used to be one of my favorites in Kochi but my last visit I felt it's gone down a bit in terms of number of customers, quality and service. I hope it goes back to it's glory days.

This is to make into your attention about the low standard of service that hotels offer the customers. Having experienced, one such unfortunate incident at. Oni would like to file a complaint against the service which was not upto the level of expectation, considering the amount they charged for the food. This is looting the money of people in the name of festivals like onam. The onasadhya which the hotel offered was worth… (300+Gst) per person. An unimaginable cost for a middle class person, yet worth trying to experience what its all about. But the food serving and quality of food were too below standard. Please consider this as a complaint that will help stoping such fraud activities in our locality.

We are extremely disappointed with your service, this was no expected from this unfair amount collected from customer. This approach will never please a customer who whould seek the respondse for his or her hard-own money. If this continues I would even be bophered the next action.

This is a very high quality location. The rooms are very pleasant-looking to the eye, and beds are comfortable. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Horrible place, A totally bad experience. Fraudulent front desk staff misleading gullible customers into checkin on the pretext of giving a good discount on checkout. The place is in need of urgent maintenance. Non AC rooms on 5th floor, ie room no 503, 504 which I occupied had no proper door locks. It was fitted with cheap swivel latches like the ones on wooden boxes, we ended up getting our right hand elbows injured. The rooms were mosquito infested, we all had a tough time with all the mosquito biting throughout the night, washbasin had either hot or cold water, the place smelled of rotting pineapple… Exhorbitantly priced rooms… I was demanded an entirely different tarif than what was booked online. My total room rental for two rooms for three nights was 11, 200 + (20.9%tax) ₹ 2, 340 Total ₹13, 540 for which I was asked to pay up ₹18, 985. The rooms were absolutely not worth even ₹ 13540 in spite of the location… The place also has a shady business feel… Please beware of getting trapped here. I recommend all to find some place better.

Best hotel ever. You can find clean bed and room anywhere but can't find sanitised wash room. And they provide best service too, though it seems old from outside. Classy hotel!

I always stay at the Woodlands when ever I am at Kochi. It has one of the best front desk managers and concierge services in the city. They have some of the best kept and spacious rooms in the city. And it's safe. They clean the rooms and change the towels and toiletries every day. My first choice.

Still the same old hotel which I used to visit. My god, they have not changed anything, not a bit for the last 7 years at all. That was when I was here before. The place is old, getting older, but it had class, and it still has. But I am worried that it's gonna lose it, if someone doesn't do something about it soon. Went to the restaurant today. Items as pricey as it ever were. Just for a Masala Dosa and one plate Idly with a single vada and two cups of tea, you should pay 252 bucks. (It's nice, but it's not fantastic). But for me, it was just a nostalgic feeling of a wonderful past times, when my parents used to take me there. And then later when I used to take my wife. Decent place, costly, not reasonable in terms of the items in the restaurant. But their staying facility is okay. Safe and clean. If you need the Non-veg and more class and buffet, you can always visit their multi-cuisine joint next door.

Located on a main street which makes shopping and travelling to other important places easy. Also there are good restaurents nearby.

I had stayed in the hotel on 1st of Jan 2017. One of the worst hotel I had stayed in ernakulam. Old, untidy rooms, bathrooms were not at all clean. Service of the staff except house keeping were pathetic. They are only capable of managing some rural lodge.

Great rooms, courteous service! Hotel located in a central area with many connectivity options. The food at the restaurant however is underwhelming…
