Cleanly maintained beach with sea walks. There are multiple sea walks and quite safe as well. There is good space for parking and there are food stalls and shops around with awesome food varieties. It would be best to go in the evening to take pictures at the edge of the sea walk with waves rising above you.

Beaches are always a superb experience. The roaring sea, the sand around the beach trying to stick to you, the overall atmosphere around, it all gives an unmatched pleasure, & being a beach this is no different from the others. Just go & relax there…

It is definitely a good place for kids and family. I am giving 4 star rating just because the local authority has not given adequate importance to keeping it meet and clean. There is lot of space for parking. This is a historically important place as Vascodagama came here. There is enough space to sit and relax. You can walk alongside the beautiful beach. The place seem to be an attraction for lovers. It is supposed to be a beautiful place but Authorities have to renovate and do maintenance periodically. I have first visited Kappad for its historical importance and 2nd time to relax with my family. 2 year old son had lot of space to test his running skills.

Undoubtedly Kappad is a much sought after spot for the historically initiated. Kappad is also remarkable for its wide and open beaches. The long stretch of rocks and hillocks, and occasional migratory birds, offer a pleasing experience to beach lovers.

This is a great place to chill. Here's where I spend most of my evenings with gang. You can get snacks and drinks from nearby shops and even beer if you're a beer fan. And for 'ice orathi' lovers we have about 5 small mobile shops. And for any assistance goverment has provided a police station near the beach. For Muslim people who come to enjoy the beach, there is a mosque nearby for prayer. That's all overall it's a great place to cool off.

A place to enjoy and have fun with your family. There are a lot of restaurants nearby if you need food and the scenery here is really good at sunset.

On of the most beautiful and hygienic beaches in Kerala. It is well maintained and the "pulimuttu" makes it safe. Pay and use toilets are available but they are not that hygeinic (but compared to other beaches with no toilet facility available, this one is a go go). It's a place were people who come to beaches for the scenery and those who come to have some fun, can both enjoy alike.

The beach is awesome… of course beaches are meant to be awesome. Walking by the side of beach is like one of the wish of many people… when the water touches your feet and take the sand away. It's so great. One thing I liked on this beach which is different to at least me but may sound familiar to locals there is the stalls here sell fruits slices with pickle or with spicy and salty solution. Which taste out of the world. I just loved having it. Just give it a try. When you eat it you will surely love it. Happy travelling.

Only problem is you cant go for swimming here, the waves might look fine but the tides and depth of the sea is more than we could know. Early morning will be best time to visit as there wont be any rush and you can also find many fishers at this time, by evening it would be a huge rush and you have to come here in a group.

This is one of good place to spend time in evening. A small park with lot of tress near to seashore makes this place more beautiful for sit together with families. We can take bath in the sea, but it is dangerous.

Its a good place to bring kids and family on a Sunday eve. The waves are good. Its good ambience. Beware of pickpocketers and petty thieves when you park your car and bikes. Stick to well lit open places and leave before it gets too dark. We have had the misfortune of having petrol stolen from our bikes recently and haven't left a very good impression on the type of people that hang around there after dark. Even though the locals caught them in the act and held them there till we came, it was a bad experience. I mean who does that… Anyway, the beach is good. All you have to do is play in the beach and not attempt to be Michel Phelps and you will be ok. Just don't try and swim to Dubai either. Have fun.

Walkaway is good. Cant spend late nights here. Safe coz a busy road goes by on the periphery.

Historical beach where Vascodagama landed in India, Its a calm beach to enjoy evenings with your loved once. Have tourism department shelters and restrooms for visitors. Enough parking space. There is one beach resort where you can have chilled beer with sun set.

Pleasant place, happy sit at sea shore. But we cant go on rocks, cant bath its danger beach. There is lot of sitting area, good for relaxation.

An amazing place to visit for stress release. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. This place will be normally crowded on weekends especially on Sundays. The best time to visit is at evening and night. For safety side, police patrolling can be seen. On the other side, we can find lots of restaurants and ice cream parlors near by beach. Also there are lots of road side sellers were we can find ice cream as well as salty fruits and juices. It’s also a good place to spend alone as well as with family and friends. Near by the beach we can find many shopping malls and also residence flats. It’s a clean and well maintained beach. It have got easy access from city. It’s a beautiful place to visit and we can enjoy the beach in long stretch. Parking is the main issue here. It’s not difficult for two wheelers to get parking space. But it’s a bit difficult for four wheelers to get parking. The other problem is with the toilet, can’t find any toilet facilities other than depending on hotels. Over all we can give a four start for an amazing view and the only problem is parking. Best time to spent there is evening to night. After the visit we have lots of different types of restaurants to select.

The entire State, especially the Malabar Coast, would never be the same again. A visit to Kozhikode is incomplete without a visit to this legendary site. The nearby shacks are always stocked with excellent local delicacies and tea. Migratory birds can be spotted occasionally as well. Kappad Beach is a truly majestic destination, which will always hold an important place in our history.

A good beach with nice scenic view. You can watch the beauty of sunset here. Kids and family will definitely enjoy this place. This place is crowded on festive seasons and sunday.

A place where you and your family can spend a good time playing in the beach while the sun starts setting down. This is a well maintained beach compared to other beaches in the city. Relax have tea and snacks which they sell in the near by shops. They have a structured parking space. Carry clean water to clean off the sand if kids are playing in the beach.

A quaint and splendid locale to spend the evening, weather with friends, loved ones or just your lonesome… Cleanliness is something tat pops to mind after saying beautiful while describing this place. A must visit.

Kappad, or Kappakadavu locally, is a famous beach near Kozhikode, India, where the Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama landed on 20 May 1498. His voyage established the sea route from Europe to India. This established a permanent route from Europe to India. Beautiful important famous beach. As Vasco Da Gama landed here. Well maintained Clean beach. There is a small monument for the landmark of Vasco Da Gama not on the beach but 100 meter from the beach which is difficult to find.

Wonderful beach with natural beauty. It can see a rock named " thuvvappaara " extended in to the sea. You can see a nice & calm morning view here.

Less crowded place with calm sea wind, flowing through out the day. You can even play beach football out here!

Clean, calm and very tiny sand (smooth) and scenic beach the place is clean and good. The park structures are good (though slowly getting damaged due to quality of construction). The beach is clean and smooth sand with less wave beach. Good place for family hang out though not much restaurants or snacks/drink shops. Visited 14th Aug 2017

Awesome place to go for an evening. Family and couples can go safely. Mostly clean, security guard is there. Good view and resting places. Walking in the sands is really refreshing. Kids will fall love with the place.

Nice place. Nice beach side. Small rock hills. Clear water. Clean atmosphere. Different nice looking views everywhere. There are 3 adjacent beach sides here. The last one near to the temple is awesome. Other 2 places are good to sit and enjoy with family and friends.

Good place to hang out. One of the best resorts at kappad. Good cuisines.
