The location is great, the rooms are spacious and clean. Banaras is a great city and this is a heritage hotel so I recommend it very much.

Good rooms. Walking distance from Ganga. Staff is v. Good. Reception staff v helpful. All no water bottles kept in rooms. Charges of 20 rs per bottle. Roof top restaurant North Indian food good. Chinese was bad. Over all good.

I stayed here from 9th to 11th July 18. Good hotel. One small problem. Entire floor of bathroom becomes wet after bath, and it becomes difficult to use after that because floor is wet. Owners missed this point while designing there bathrooms. One more problem, somehow AC stops in the midnight. It does not restart on its own, after power is resumed.

Nice Place to stay in Banaras, nearby to Assi ghat, rooms are nice cozy, rooftop restaurant serves great food. Price are on bit higher side, even Wi-Fi is also chargeable. rest is ok.

3 stars for the rooms. Would have been a 5 stars rating had the manager not been rude during the entire course of my stay. Location is another issue. It is next to Assi ghat, meaning narrow streets and availability of cabs is not frequent.

This hotel is located near Assi Ghat in varanasi. This hotel has ac and non ac room. It has also a restaurent. Room quality is likely good. I can't give it 5 star. But it is okay if you need a room urgently. Staff behaviour is good. Food quality is in average.

Worst experience. Receptionist are not bothered about customer. Disgusting. i wont recommend.

The Pros of the hotel are: 1. Incredible rooftop restaurant with a breath-taking view of the Ganges River and its banks. 2. Accessibility and location of the hotel. It is situated at a stone's throw away from the Assi Ghat, the only ghat that is accessible by road. 3. Small room sizes with great interior designs. 4. Bathrooms are fitted with all the necessary amenities. There is ample space inside them as well. Cons: 1. Immature hotel staff who need a lot of training. The best they can do is smile and greet. 2. Foreigners tend to spend a long time on the rooftop restaurant, which causes an unnecessary delay to other guests. The staff will NOT say anything to them. 3. Bad sleep quality. The location and the rooftop restaurant are the USP of this hotel. One crazy staff, the night duty one, would barge into your room after knocking the door. I mean, who does that. They definitely need a lot of training. But the hotel overall is very good. All the rooms are designed differently. In case you are looking for good views from inside the hotel room, then there are no such rooms with great views. The best view is from the rooftop.

The ambience is good. The food quality is not up to the mark. It should be improved.

The best part about the hotel is the view from the rooftop restaurant. Rooms are good, quiet. Great place to stay alone, or with family/friends. Close to Assi ghat and most major spots in Varanasi. Parking is available just opposite the hotel. Efficient and polite staff.

Rooms were good but had a different smell that I personally dint like… need to demand a bill as they collect GST and deny to give the bill initially… on one of the days of our stay we kept waiting for the buffet and they delayed it by almost an hour… otherwise clise to assi ghat… dont take the boat service offered by the hotel … you can find cheaper boat rides at the ghat.

Located at few minutes walking distance from Assi ghat. Rooms were of decent size. There was som problem with the hot water in the bathrooms. Breakfast was complimentary and the sitting area on the terrace provided good view of river Ganges.

Well kept rooms (new property), courteous staff, value for money. Close to the Assi ghat Walk down around 100mts and take motor boat for rs 1800 from 4pm to 8 pm to visit all ghats and to watch Aarati.

Visit just once for awesome view of varanasi ghhat.

One of the worst experience pertaining to food quality. We were 6 persons ordered Crispy Baby Corn and Sweet Corn Soup. Both the items were pathetic and even not eatable as I think it was stale (basi). Although the location of the roof top restaurant is quite good. And you can have a great view of Ganges. But Restaurant is not recommended at all.

Roof top restaurant is worst place. I have visited many restaurants, but this is worst service provider, nd food also that kind of worst. You can realise it, by visiting at their, cz very very less people go at place, only for the first time, wise people never repeat thier mistakes again. Don't take chance to visit at that restaurant.

They are cheaters. Cancelled my Advance Booking number 12 of room 151 when we arrived with family. They tried to arrange in another rubbish hotel but I was not in mood to compromise. There are pretty good hotels around that area with half price. Once again thanks cheater Banaras Haveli.

Clean rooms with ambient lighting and very helpful staff. View of Ganges from rooftop during dinner is totally awesome.

Really loving this place, have good sight and too close from river ganga. It's an adorable place at its good price range, room service are also good. Pepole usually stay here because the location of this hotel is in middle of temple town with good locality, within reach of basis needs and better services.

I haven't seen the rooms much, but the roof top restaurant is awesome. The rates are good, the taste was awesome. The place was hygenic and the waiters were well dressed and were wearing gloves.

I love the setup, the view and specially during winter evenings its awesome to be there with a warm cup of coffee, and tasty snacks.
The range is fine. Quantity and Quality of food both are good.

Banaras haveli befor any think best view it's really very big hotel with super nice room I never stay thir but lot of piple told me that' is nice place to stay hotel at the Assi ghat I have been meny times for best Indian food so don't miss it.

— Despite having paid in advance, they didn't have a room for us when we arrived (at the end someone cancelled while we were waiting to be transferred to a different hotel). — Had paid for an upgraded room, but got what it looked like a normal one. They were still saying that was an upgraded room, despite being very different from their brochure. Too expensive for what you get. — They forgot to pick us up at the airport — They charge 1, 200 Rp for airport pick-up when the price is 700 Rp if you just get a taxi on arrival — Wi-fi was an extra charge — Breakfast was poor — Asked if I could get a bottle of water in the room at 22:00. Staff said they would get one for us (there is a cafe / restaurant in the hotel, so it should be easy), but I waited for 30 minutes and nothing. Had to go to the street and buy one.

This hotel is a very nice place to stay and relax. Mr. Tripathi is one of the best employee their, he very helpful and kind person.

Do not stay here. I’ve written close to 60 review of hotels in dozens of countries, so far. I have travelled to 31 countries and stayed in many more than I have reviewed. I can say, without doubt, that this was, by far, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in — from it’s deceptive descriptions, horrendous customer service (or lack thereof) and for the facilities. If there is any advice that you should take, it’s to avoid staying here at all costs. Long story, short: — pre-paid, in full, 7 months in advance, was cancelled on FOUR TIMES by email and when asked why they demanded more money each time (equaling an additional 50% in the end — when other hotels were booked and we felt trapped), then when we showed up they had “lost” our reservation. Even after reconfirming a month prior. They were about to move us down the street when “unluckily” another guest cancelled last minute and we took over their reservation. In hindsight, we wish we had been moved, as this was horrendous experience. — “forgot” to pick us up at airport, although reconfirmed pickup a month prior. Took no responsibility and didn’t care in the slightest when we told them. Later we were grateful, as it costs rp. 700 from airport or direct from driver and hotel was charging Rp. 1, 200. Hotel obviously takes a cut of about £5 and it is very, very easy and fast to get a taxi directly at the airport through their taxi queue system. — website states, "All the rooms have big windows with panoramic view of city”.

Been to the Hotel Banaras Haveli in December 2014 and I loved my stay over there. The rooms allocated were very clean and had all necessary ammenities. The hotel staff are well mannered and always ready to help. Will surely return back if visiting Assi Ghat again. Highly recommended to foreigners as an ideal place to stay during vacations.
