This is a lovely hotel, with a very nice restaurant. Our room and en-suite was very large and comfortable. Immaculately clean. Has many light switches takes a while to figure them out. Beautiful attractive gardens and swimming pool to relax in. Ideal to stay whilst visiting Jodhpur.

This hidden beauty with it's old world charm is nestled in the most comfortable and connected spot in Jodhpur. Right from the impeccable hospitality to the transforming ambience and the simplicity of the place is just so calming. Loved every minute of our stay.

Very comfortable heritage hotel, with lovely rooms and great facilities. Would recommend giving the restaurant a try.

The hotel is very beautiful and the standard rooms are very big, the furniture and the style of the hotel is kind of colonial, I really appreciate it, it is not the usual international hotel with no personality. The swimming pool is open until 8pm. During evening a traditional indian musician is playing live music creating a magic atmosphere. I cannot give 5 stars only because the breakfast is not amazing, it is good but no more. The staff is really kind.

The best boutique hotel I have ever stayed in. The food was better than when we ate out at a highly recommended restaurant, the service better than the 5-star hotels. The hotel was immaculately clean day and night, wonderful gardens and pool, serene and relaxing, plus, you are living amongst real history, Royal history. Best hotel ever.

A gem! Old world hotel carefully tended by the family who have lived there since 1920. Outstanding staff! Great resturant which spills out into the beautiful grounds in the evenings. A welcoming, sophisticated and peaceful place. We loved it.

This hotel is old style traditional hotel. The look has old historical Hawali type. Most of foreign tourists has like this type of hotel not domestic. So as point of domestic tourist this is average hotel.

This place is great, the rooms are really nice and very well equipped (air-con, double fan, refrigerator, bathtub…)
The service is perfect and very attentive.
The breakfast was great and we had dinner at night the food was excellent.
I recommend for a quiet parenthesis.

This place was excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant also served a great bufett breakfast. It's been the best place we stayed so far on our india trip. My wife was ill when we arrived and we found the staff to be very empathetic, they made sure she was comfortable and had some fruit available to eat.

Here restaurant was good and the quality of food was also good. But the service of serving foid was bit slow. Had a great experience and a must vusit place.

An excellent heritage boutique hotel. Had a wonderful and an exceptional stay. We stayed with family for two nights. The rooms and the hotel are absolutely beautiful! Very tastefully done. The staff are excellent — courteous, knowledgeable, and go out of their way to help. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Can not recommend enough!

This is the MOST beautiful hotel. Its architecture is grand and it still feels cozy. Besides being beautiful and clean, the staff is great, the meals are good, and the grounds and poolside are great for relaxing (especially when they bring out the instrumentalist).

Ratan vilas, was built 1920 for Maharaj Ratan Singh of Raoti, he was a very good horseman and great polo player of its time, his grandson still living here, they converted it into a nice hotel. Lovely atmosphere, close to city centre, most of the historical monuments, airport and railway station (approximately 3 to 6km. Distances)

Everything about this hotel is amazing. Location of the property, delicious Food, well behaved staff, large and clean rooms and washrooms, Beautiful garden and well maintained swimming pool. Being in the Jodhpur town yet this place is quite peaceful. All the tourist places and market areas are within 3 — 4 kms from the property. Stepping out and rickshaws and cabs are available. Breakfast, lunch and dinner have variety of food options Veg & Non veg equally tasteful. Kitchen staffs are really helpful to make the dish as per your taste and choice. To have dinner in the candle night in the garden area under the sky is a awesome experience. One can laze around in the beautiful garden and swimming pool for hours. All the rooms and bathrooms are quite big and well maintained in colonial style. Owner himself take care of the property and do make sure that he interacts with his guest to make them comfortable. Me and my wife we both enjoyed our time spent in Jodhpur (9th Nov-11th Nov) and a special thanks to Ratan Villa for making our trip so memorable. Hope to visit this place again.

Me and my wife stayed here for two days while touring Rajasthan four years back. We had a great time in Jodhpur and we celebrated our wedding anniversary at Ratan Vilas and while serving dinner to us they prepared special cake to celebrate our wedding anniversary which we always remember. We would like to visit again and stay in this heritage hotel which belongs to Royal family and we had the privilege of meeting the grand old Maharaja and his family who stay in their Royal quarters with in the hotel premises. Hotel is impeccably clean, well maintained staff are very corteous, the receptionist was extremely helpful in selecting the room to match our budget. The food was superb and service is excellent.

The most amazing, friendly, hospitable and cleanest place we have been to on our second trip to India. We are so glad to have found Ratan Vilas, as we will be returning to Jodhpur regularly on business. We were at Ratan Vilas during the off-season, hence after a week’s stay here the staff and owners made us feel like we were part of the family. The new rooms, which according to the owners will be ready in time for the coming season are looking lovely and their patio lead directly to the nicest pool area I have seen in a very, very long time. Apparently the Wi-Fi reception will be considerably better in these rooms too… which is the only thing that could have been a little better, but hardly weighs in considering everything. We will definitely return and I can HIGHLY recommend Ratan Vilas to tourist and business travellers.

On our visit to Rajhastan this year we stayed in some marvellous hotels of which Ratan Vilas in Jodhpur was the outstanding one. I cannot speak too highly of the facilities, food and staff. It also has a lovely swimming pool. Set back from the road it has an air of tranquillity and there are always taxis or tuk-tuks available for a trip to town. My tip is to carry a business card from the hotel if you go into town as one driver took us to the wrong hotel until I showed him the card!

Ridiculously charming. I returned to Ratan Vilas in November of 2016, this time with my husband, having been to the property once before about 7 years ago. I worried that I had an image of perfection in my head that would be shattered, but it was still just as warm and charming. There is a lush garden in front of the building and birds to be heard as you sit outdoors and read a book or just take in the atmosphere. The rooms are fashioned with great taste, they are spacious, and most if not all look out onto a courtyard or a garden. The staff are exceptional — true Rajasthani hospitality. They are polite and unobtrusive and come across as genuinely wanting to help you. The breakfast is generous, tasty and on the house. I can't recommend this any more highly. And the icing on the cake is the affordability. Ratan Vilas is a gem, I will go there every time I am in Jodhpur.

Quaint and charming refuge in the city. Room was good sized with a generous bathroom space. We were warned that hot water required patience and we were happy after a short wait. Service all around was lovely and eager to please. Neighborhood was a busy street but we were greeted with smiles and waves when we stepped out to get some cookies from a Mart down the way.

Spent a few nights here in April 2016. Lovely setting on the edge of central Jodhpur. Lovely food and a great pool.

Lovely and immaculate accommodation, an oasis of calm. Rooms are comfortable with modern bathroom facilities. All staff were incredibly helpful and friendly; special mention to Harishbhai for his hospitality. I recommend eating in as dinner and lunch is freshly cooked, served hot and is delicious. Would highly recommend Ratan Vilas to anyone wishing to visit Jodhpur.

Excellent So peaceful in the heart of the city. Lovely pool that you could spend all day in. Nice garden where lovely food is severed at the desired relaxed pace. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to all.

Nothing bad to say. Everything was perfect, from cleanliness to service passing through price. The staff is always ready to help and they were fully operational in the low season too (really rare in Rajasthan). A plus for the rich menu at restaurant (you can find alchool too), but not everything was tasty as it should be. You can access freely to Wi-Fi and from a modern desktop PC too. Pool is definitely a rare gem: carefully brushed and cleaned every morning (as it should be, but not so obvious in Rajasthan). Absolutely the first choice in Jodhpur and one of my favourite in Rajasthan.
