SMS hotel is a great place for a stay in Jaipur. The staff were very cordial. They arranged for a visit to the rambaug palace adjacent to this hotel which was enthralling. Many peacocks & many kinds of birds, squirrels around was a great feeling. Overall a great time. Thanks to Jitendra for his support.

Easy to locate the hotel, it is just adjacent to Taj Rambagh. The hotel is very nice, rooms are very good with all the necessary ameneties available. They have a nice lawn where peacocks roam free. The pool size is a bit small though. Staff is very nice and friendly, always at your service. Breakfast service is good. Try chef's special always and you won't regret it.

A very good compromise, very confortable place with an excellent location at a decent price. The swimming pool is a delight after a day under the sun. Access to the luxury hotel Rambagh which is great and convenient to go there for a drink.

The first building on the site was a garden house built in 1835 for the wet nurse of prince Ram Singh II.  In 1887, during the reign of Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh, it was converted into a modest royal hunting lodge, as the house was located in the midst of a thick forest at that time. In the early 20th century, it was expanded into a palace to the designs of Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob. Maharajah Sawai Man Singh II made Rambagh his principal residence and added a number of royal suites in 1931.

This Property has 20 rooms which are spacious, comfortable and furnished well. The pool is fairly small but the pool area itself is actually very nice, surrounded by gardens with roaming peacocks and other bird life. The restaurant is rather plain but with a good breakfast spread and fine for convenient dining. For a night out without bothering about a taxi there are other dining options a short and pleasant walk away at the magnificent Rambagh Palace next door. I recommend the grounds for a wander, the Steam restaurant for value and the Suvana Mahal restaurant for out and out extravagance). Finally, where this hotel wins hands down is the staff — they are so attentive, aiming to please and concerned that you have the best possible experience. Overall, for price compared to other Jaipur hotels.

One of the most beautiful Taj Gateway hotels with easy access to the Rambagh property. Superbly green with a lovely ambience, though swimming pool is small in size, the rooms are pretty spacious. Overall a great stay.

If you are in Jaipur you need to visit this place to experience the real royal heritage of Rajasthan. Known for the palace of Rambaugh in the same vicinity, this place has natural flaura and fauna which attracts birds of various breeds. If you love peacocks and wish to see them dancing please visit this location during winters and monsoons. The walk to the pool and the nearest royal garden is pure bliss.

Small hotel in middle of Jaipur. People looking for some peace can plan to stay here. Food is also good.
