Worst experience ever at Forresta. When the bill came, we asked the staff why they charged a GST of 18%. And they simply called the manager. The manager claimed that they were a ‘luxury’ hotel and as per govt. Rules they had every right to charge an 18% GST on the food. When we asked the manager, Mr. Prakash, as to how it was a luxury hotel, the genius had a brilliant reply: “you can see our name, it’s Devraj Luxury Hotels Pvt. Ltd. Therefore, we are a luxury hotel. You can …see the word luxury hotel written on the bill. ” As per the laws, hotels with a room tariff above Rs. 7, 500 can charge an 18% GST. We curiously asked them the room rates. They said that we are sold out for the next few days, so you can come later, when the room is vacant. When we asked them about the room tarrif/ room rack rate brochures, the manager said that he will go and get them. He came back empty-handed and said that they ran out of brochures. The manager, Mr. Prakash was amusingly dumb and couldn’t understand anything. He just continued to blabber that come back in a few days, right now our hotel rooms are all full, and that's why we cannot disclose the rack rate. After about a 30-min argument, he said that “our other guests are waiting, please pay the bill and leave. ” When we said that we wouldn’t pay the extra taxes, Mr Prakash said, “you don’t have a choice. You shouldn’t have come. ” How is it incorrect for me to ask about the bill if I’m unnecessarily paying extra?

Everything was clean around. The food was delicious with a wild variety of dishes.

Nice hotel, we can get lower rates in trivago for room booking. Its better to book online. Beautiful scenic view, swimming pool. Though hotel food is costly compared to room charges. Overall a good hotel.

The place is serene. Really good place to go for a date. Food provided is fine but the place feel makes it better.

Excellent Stay.! Devraj Niwas was one of the good hotel in Jaipur. Bus stand and railway station is near and good restaurants are also available. Good location, clean rooms, & swimming pool also.

Decent and a well maintained place. Very near to Jaipur railway station. As I got the room via make my trip at almost 50% was a little skeptical about it. But it turned out to be aa awesome stay for me at Jaipur. Just that the service is a bit slow.

Nice place to stay. More than worth in this price range. Food and services are awesome. Specially the food quality and taste is beyond the words. Highly recommended.

Also visited Foresta and Jaipour Cafe and restaurants. The ambience of the whole complex is good and elaborate but the only thing missing in it is cleanliness, upkeep and maintenance.

One of the old places of Jaipur, having a beautiful outdoor restaurant 'Forresta' with lush green plants and condle concepts. Food is not that delicious but fine it is. Price is higher than it should be.

Worst services. Not supportive staff at reception. Ground staff is much better then Reception and resturant staff. This is 3 star hotel but prices in resturant is like for 5 star hotel. Taste of food worst. Quality worst, rate to much high. In breakfast they don't know the meaning of buffet susyem. I have to ask to resturant staff if any thing required. They don't displayed the any thing. I don't know these know the meaning of buffet system or not. This is my worst expeince with hotel. In my entire life. Less then 1 star is not possible other wise I give them a zero (0) star.

Though hotel was nice but restaurant staff was uncooperative. We didn't find any ambience in hotel. It was not at all worth for me We faced problems in terms of food for kids, getting basic facilities. Hotel Restaurant was expensive as well as food was tasteless.

Everything here is great except people at reception and menu price. The entrance is small and I wasn't expecting much. To add more, the reception people were like half awake at 8pm. From reception till my room was a pleasant surprise to me. There is a pathway and nice plants and flowers decorate it from besides. Lot of trees and plants along side. The room was a big in size, a heater, AC, locker and fridge as utility; 24hrs hot water in shower as well as in basin. The restaurant people were very humble and polite. Thanks to me that I had included dinner in hotel booking price. Refer attached photos for their very high price menu. They also have a bar and pub in upper level restaurant. They have a garden, swimming pool and lawn to roam around and for leisure.

For people travelling by train this hotel would be very good. Rooms are large with well maintained. Each room has a private sit out. The open restaurant and bar are good. Food is good but overpriced. Good resort. Would recommend it.

A very serene place for a short getaway. Devraj Niwas has two very great restaurants and also boasts of a rooftop sheesha cafe. The rooms are nice, we stayed at ones that were a little bit away from the restaurants as later in the night you can hear the humm of the crowd around the restaurant in the room — while that’s not a problem on weekdays, but the restaurants attract a lot of people on weekends and that can be a little disturbing if you want peace and quite. We stayed at the hotel in dec (last week). The weather was very pleasant even though we had packed for winters keeping in mind the weather in the north, but it was warmer. The sun was out and we often did not need heavy jackets or sweaters. The only time we used our jackets was when we sat out in the evening. The rooms were very nice, though the hotel could have made it better for the kind of toiletries it offers in the bathroom. One would expect more for the price they charge. The rooms are clean, though our bathroom did not smell as nice when we checked in. The room service did clean it when we asked them to. The rooms like all hotels are built for the summer and can seem to have little ventilation which can feel a little claustrophobic but it feels better with the AC or the fan turned on. The breakfast at Devraj Niwas (complementary with room) was decent and the staff was extremely nice. We just has breakfast and dinner at the hotel.

Two places inside the hotel. Forresta and Jeypore. They are both very well done and offer amazing food. The ambience is good and the prices are right.

Nice decent place to stay, breakfast buffet is bad in fact one of the worst I have seen. When u enter the reception you will feel disappointed but as u enter the rooms it's worth it. It's quite decent place in heart of city, I got it for less than 2500 RS (including breakfast) if you are paying more than that I would say not worth it.

One of the worst hotel experience in Jaipur. It's a disgrace to Jaipur city itself.
I have booked my hotel room a month advance for December 9 to 11 and payed advance of INR 5000, When I call this afternoon to inform them that my guest will be arriving in the evening, their manager at duty inform me that I have not book so far and have asked me to provide me the details, so I have shared all the confirmation email and transfer details. But they just said they have no rooms and couldn't help.
What can I say about this…

My guest went to near by hotel by themselves after that incidents they don't bother to give any service.
Shameful on the management and the owner.

A little expensive but so many things in the menu to choose from and serves wide range of drinks too. A perfect garden restaurant to have candle light dinner or to go in small groups. Very courteous staff.

All rooms at ground level. Good location. Some rooms are close to the open air lounge bar, hence gets a little noisy at night.

One of the best bar lounge restaurant in jaipur that can give competition even to the one's in ncr.

Hotel is surrounded with so much of greenery and full of nature. Food, services, rooms all are too comfort. The open bar is a unique concept.

Greatly recommended. Felt like I was staying in the lap of nature. Each room has nice, small, well maintained garden in front of it. Rooms were small. Perfect for couples but would be inconvenient for more than two persons in the same room. Food is little expensive. Complimentary breakfast was up to the mark. Overall I had a very pleasant stay & I would surely love to stay there again.

After 2 weeks in mediocre hotels and tents, this hotel was a breath of fresh air. Great rooms, even if they're a but dingy. The food was also quite nice in the outdoor restaurant.

We spent two nights at this beautiful Hotel recently. You will get real feeling of home In Jaipur at this beautiful place. Room are comfortable with good amenities. A lot of open area and greenery also. The food was awesome and the staff was polite and professional. We have not seen water sprinkling outdoor bar anywhere else in India. We enjoyed our stay.

A very good hotel with clean spacious rooms, beautiful garden and open air restaurant. Good value for money. A welcome change from crampy dusty concrete building. We enjoyed our stay here.

They have their employees peeping into the washrooms through the vent (which only has a screen). At least two of the rooms (402 and 403) have this setup. I shudder to think how many female guests have been previously peeped at while taking a shower, or even worse, videotaped/photographed. We reported them to the local cops but that didn't go too far. I guess if you own a hotel in Jaipur, the cops look after your interests.

DON'T STAY HERE! PEEPING TOMS WORK HERE! We recently stayed at Devraj Niwas in Jaipur as part of a Golden Triangle tour (including Delhi, Agra and Jaipur). I was in the bathroom getting ready to take a shower and looked up at the vent area above the shower and noticed one of the hotel employees was perched at the opening watching me. When I shouted to my husband to tell him what was happening the man ran away. The hotel design is only one floor and upon looking into how someone could be at this area, we saw there are stairs leading up to the rooftop for anyone to access. Many of the rooms have a similar design where you can look right into the bathroom. On each roof are the water tanks and a man needs to go up here everyday to start the hot water pumps for the rooms — so it is accessed frequently, and providing a good excuse if similar complaints are made. The hotel management and police were called and complaints filed. DON'T STAY HERE — who knows how many innocent and unsuspecting women have been watched.

Excellent superb palace. But costly.
