We stayed here as a family for two nights. Mr Firdous made us feel very welcome. The room we had on the ground floor was great, very clean and everything worked as it should. There was a pleasant garden and a communal seating area. The food cooked onsite was awesome, really tasty and good value and we loved the Kashmiri tea. There are also a number of good restaurants nearby. The lake is a 5 minute walk away and overall we found Dalgate to be well located. We were able to arrange local site seeing and onward travel with Mr. Firdous, he is very knowledgeable about the local area and gave an interesting tour of the city. Kashmir is a beautiful area, we would love to visit again and would not hesitate to recommend it others.

This place is more like a homestay as the owner Mr Firdous is so friendly and welcoming. The 2 staff Irfan and Mir are always there for anything you need. Mr Firdous was so helpful for our trip from booking day till it finished. Guiding on places, advice and shopping. Perhaps the most friendly and hospitable stay so far for us. Would definitely love to stay there again.

My Kashmir trip was awesome and staying in Blooming dales hotel was one of the reasons why I am saying its awesome. All staff are so friendly and helpful in nature. The owner Mr. Firdous is a very good person. They provided me best stay with complimentary breakfast and free airport pickup service. There are electric blanket and heater also in the room.

Our stay at the Blooming Dale home-stay in Srinagar, has been a wonderful experience. The place is well-maintained, simple and, has a cozy homely feel to it. Firdous, our host, and his dedicated staff — Mir, Irfan and Ashraf — were a pleasure to interact with; together they curated a memorable visit for us by way of organising our itinerary, serving a delectable Kashmiri spread at the table, engaging in cheerful conversations and giving us key insights into the Kashmiri way-of-life and its unique socio-cultural mores. Firdous, in particular, made for a well-informed and researched tour guide. The heritage walk he organised for us in the old city of Srinagar was one of the key highlights of our visit there. The hotel is very near to Dal lake. Rooms are very clean. Service is very good and the food was awesome. The hotel owner and staffs are very cooperative.

I had visited srinagar for the first time in the month of july 2017 and stayed in blooming dale hotel in a wonderful location near dal lake. I was welcomed with local kashmiri tea… Room was nice and clean. The hospitality provided by hotel owner was awesome and it was a great surprise for me as I never expected the same. Mr Firdaus had guided me to visit all famous places… He himself took me to show some awesome places in srinagar. It was such a lovely experience with Mr Firdaus who is such a nice man. You will never expect owner to give you so much time… As per me the hotel price was much less as compared to other hotels… Room was nice… The staff was very supportive and the owner is awesome. A must visit place to stay in srinagar…

Superb place … Very nice homely treatment.

It's Beautiful but the management isn't proper. So it's condition are deteriorating day by day.
We have rule in administration and most of the employees fallow the same and that is" WHO CARES"

I spent a fabulous week at the Blooming Dale guest house in Srinagar late March '11. As a Canadian, I felt safe, comfortable, and extremely well looked after by the gracious host and his staff — who were always considerate and extremely generous, showing me some sights and making whatever food I wanted. The location is absolutely prime, as well — totally central almost right on Dal Lake. Having talked to many others, I would highly recommend this honest and fairly priced place — especially over the usually squalid houseboats that everyone seems to want. I would go back there in a second — and I hope someday I do!
