We decided to stay here for a night because it was the only campsite that accepted the Camping Card near Akureyri. The reception was located behind the campsite and the woman who assisted me was very friendly. The campsite was quite muddy due to the recent rain and a couple of campers got stuck in the mud while we were there, so be careful of where you’re driving! It is next to a running creek and off the main road, but I didn’t find it noisey at all. Some have mentioned that it smelled bad and I must agree — there was a fishy smell that I couldn’t tell where it came from. We went the majority of our time inside the camper so this wasn’t too big of a problem. Minimal facilities as others have mentioned but very clean bathrooms with hot water (3 stalls). We did not use/see the shower. There were some tables and chairs in the cooking area and it was covered. It seems like they’re building more facilities to add to the campsite. Would recommend staying here if you’re not requiring much and just need a place to stay for the night.

The camping is small and part of the grass was turned into mud due to all the cars crossing at the same place. The mud smelled bad. It is possible to cook protected from the wind and rain but the place looks more like an animal stable and is very small.

Too close to the main road. Too small. The facilities are not good enough for the number of people that use it. Bit disappointing really. Should've gone elsewhere.

Decent but limited facilities, the bathrooms look like a do it yourself job from plywood that has been mailed together and painted over. The owner does seem to be looking at expanding by building additional cabins. It's tough to tell but my guess is that the campground is an after thought to the more lucrarive venture of hostels or cabins. Also no kitchen equipment beyond a sink. The campground area is also smaller and fills quickly compared to other campsites.

Tricks the eye at first but turns out to be a gem.

The campsite is small by Icelandic standards and right next to the N1 road, which makes it not quite pleasant. There are 2 toilets, 1 paying shower as well as some open wooden shelter with an electric boiling pot. They accept the Camping Card.

There's literally nothing but a sink, a kettle and a small electric stove.

Nice room. Good shared kitchen and lounge area. Lots of hot water. Could do with more toilets though.

Good services. Nice staff. Cozy rooms, good covers and pillows (althought the pillows where to soft for me). Great price. Will stay there again.

The guest houses owners are sweet.

Not high price. Few bathrooms. Place for rest. Wi-Fi only in public places.

We stayed in this hostel for one night. It's a great solution just 5 minutes driving out of the city. Rooms are small but clean and the staff is really friendly!

Comfortable hostel located just outside of town. The rooms are comfy and while the walls may be slightly tight, there is plenty of room to sit in the kitchen or in the living room (with TV). Laundry is offered in one of the washrooms. Linen and towel provided.
