I stayed in one of the cottage, great values with superb nice view, just next to Route # 1, excellent Stopover point, where we came from the north after Akurkyri, and next day morning to golden circle. They had a hot tub outdoor and facing over the river, nice view ^^. But it takes at least 1.2 hrs to fill up with water. Great kitchen Facilities with all the cooking utilities We are a group of 4, enough rooms for each of us, 2 separate rooms, bathroom is Clean. Close to main road, N1 gas station and small store you can shop for making you own meal in the cottage. Don’t miss the church near by, just 5 mins walk, very modern design. You can access by bridge to the Small island next to the river, it stated it is a nature park.
Okay, the only problem is the owner put their local area code twice and people couldn’t reach him at first place. But to be honest, the cottage is the best one I have stayed in Iceland for our 12 days trip. The kitchen is well equipped, the location is nice and you will not find such nice price for a private cottage like this.

I have booked a two bedroom cottage with hot tub. However, when I arrived the cottage owner provided two separate cottages with NO hot tub. Two cottages are small and one of them don’t even have bathroom. Complained about it by calling the reception. The guy at the reception is rude and impolite. He even cut the line and did not apologise. Worst place to stay in ever! DO NOT stay here! It’s a trap!
