A great place. Remote and unique. A perfect spot to relax in Iceland.

We spent four days here while fishing on River Lonsa. The accommodations were nice and everything was very clean and modern. We had excellent food as well. I’m not sure that we will return ti Iceland—but if we do, we will visit here again.

I am so in love with this place we could have stayed a week here and helped out with the animals and I would have been so happy We booked through air bnb, didn’t get the chance to meet the hosts who were on vacation but we met two sweet girls there volunteering on the farm, 4 adorably cuddly border collies, a cute pet sheep named Thumbalina, 7? Icelandic horses, a great hot tub, and our first encounter with the northern lights We got to play with all animals, and also had a delicious all you can eat brunch — a smorgasbord of various items including the hosts own smoked trout (I refrained from eating the entire plate), lamb pate, homemade jams, (of course eggs, waffles coffee etc) The room itself was great, such a cute space, such a comfortable bed we only forced ourselves out because we wanted breakfast Only thing is hot water isn’t geothermal so limited hot water aka don’t shower directly after your boyfriend :P I could go on forever about my experience here but definitely stay and be sure to sign in the guestbook.

Great remote place and surrounding nature/wildlife.

Best place to stay, definitely it's a must to visit and stay of you want to experience a great place that is full of details and surprises. Family friendly and perfecto charge batteries to continue your trip or just relax.

Enjoyed my stay. Wished it was more than a night. excellent rooms and kitchen. Host was helpful. make sure that you have stock up food before heading to the hostel. mobile network (vodaphone) coverage at this location is not good.

I really didn't know what to expect as we drove through the farm yard, but we were greeted with a warm welcome, and made to feel at home. The accommodation was warm, clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. We were only there for the one night, but we enjoyed the peace and tranquillity and got to see the northern lights. I really wish we had stayed longer!

Very comfortable, well furnished, cozy room with everything we needed for a happy night's stay. We wish we could have stayed longer! Interesting construction, with the studio apartment constructed from two metal storage containers welded together side-by-side, with the common wall between the containers removed. The flooring and paneling make the room quiet and warm. The electric heaters quickly bring the temperature up to a comfortable level, so there is good insulation. Everything works well in the kitchen and bath, and all the appliances one expects are supplied. Bed comfortable, linens clean and fresh. Breakfast is tasty and friendly, and our host Mirjam gave us quite a few good suggestions for a quick explore of the coast before we had to head on. We certainly could have spent 3-4 days here, and we will have to come back and do that next trip. While I walked around and took photos of the sheep and birds in the morning, I had the welcome company of two friendly sheepdogs.

A little bit unpolite. Fishing in October is not permitted I was told… not very friendly. Holland I suppose. Pitty cause the place is incredible.

Had an awesome evening here! The 14km of dirt roads out the backside of the town took us a good 35 mins, but once there the secluded location was great.
