We spent an extended weekend at Callas House for my wife's birthday and explored Budapest. Everything was to our full satisfaction. The room was nicely furnished and clean, the staff very accommodating, helpful and nice and the breakfast left no wish. If we fly to Budapest again, we sleep in Callas House. Thank you for the nice time. ❤

Great location in a historical palace in the most elegant Budapest Avenue. Staff was very kind and professional. Rooms were clean, wide, and fashionably designed and furnished.

My husband and I stayed here in mid September. There was no air conditioning even though it was quite warm out. The reason given was that they were transitioning to winter. After the first night (of a 3 night stay) our bathroom took on a PUTRID smell and multiple reports to the front desk offered absolutely no resolution other then "I'm sorry but we can't do anything". If we had been staying any longer we would have changed hotels. The smell was disgusting and completely unacceptable for the cost of the room (217 euro per night). They made zero attempts to fix it or compensate is in any way. The smell was nauseatingly bad.

Location is just next Hungarian state opera house. Entrance is kind of unique, so you will see. I like it.

Spacious room with a beautiful bathroom. All the standard amenities. The staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is located centrally and right next to the opera house.

Location was great — it was close to all the sightseeing places and was in a safe location. The rooms were clean and very nicely decorated. The service was great as well and was served free breakfast. Would stay here again!

This is not a 4 stars hotel. That rating is giving for Hostels users, teenagers with low money. Lobby always busy with youngest people, eating and drinking because is the only place where Wi-fi is strong. Photos of the room does not correspond with a premium room. It is good location but it is expensive for what you will receive.

Really good location. Grand and interesting rooms. No late bar and some building work but no disruption. Lovely staff.

Room 36 was magnificent overlooking the Opera and the Andrassy Boulevard.
Rich breakfast served in the fine Callas Coffee-restaurant.

Arrived at Callas House around midday, after a false start of going into the resturant we found the door and buzzer, gained access to the inner stairway and went up in the lift to the 3rd floor where we were greeted in a fantastic manner, treated to a walk through of the junior suite, again in awe of the room. We went through to reception to find out where we could go whilst in Budapest and got treated fantastically and was recommended to take the bus tour! Anyway in a nutshell, if you want luxury, in a central location then you will not find anywhere better than The Callas House, it is a genuine 4star B&B come hotel, fantastic helpful staff and a very central location. We stayed in room 31, it was lovely and chic. If I had one criticism it would be the pillows, they are great to look at but horrible to sleep on as they are not supportive at all. Callas House is directly opposite the Operah house, that's well worth going in to have a look and join in the tour, it's cheap and very informative! Book today because you will regret not booking into Call as House when you walk past and see where it is!

Great decor and hotel in central location. Very reasonable rates as well for the quality.

A must see for the beautiful surroundings and drink tea (the choice is vast). We have not eaten. The interior is sublime.

SUPERB! The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable and nicely decorated. It's just next to the Opera House, so it's at a very accessible location. Would recommend.

Very nice hotel! Great rooms.

A shame to only give it 3 stars. The hotel receptionists are good and responsive, and the potential for this 'new' hotel is very high as the rooms are lovely with quality decor and furniture. Softer touches should be addressed very quickly. The biggest problem is the restaurant (Callas Cafe), which is used for breakfast. Here the staff do not show interest in providing a half decent service, and the quality and layout of the food is poor to say the least. Given the excellent location of the hotel (in a fashionable area of Budapest right next door to the Opera House) I sincerely hope they address my concerns.

Great cafe and restaurant place. Water mist shower is perfect for a hot days. Very good localization near Opera metro station. I truly recommend testarossa champagne (strawberry). Very elegant spot with elegant and expensive shops near like Gucci.

Thank you Marcel for making our stay incredible! We had a wonderful room overlooking the Opera. Housekeeping was great and Marcel from the Front Desk recommended some great restaurants/bars. The breakfast was very good — the chef makes the best scrambled eggs we have ever had! Callas House has the perfect location to explore the city by foot (or Metro). Thanks for everything! We will be back!

Place determines everything. The beautiful Opera house nearby. The Dobos cake is a favorite dish of Queen Sisi is very good.

Beautiful and charming. Completely advisable if you are a musician, 10 m away from the ópera house.

This is a beautiful place, elegant, stylish and peaceful. There was a time when classy cafes were staffed by gentlemen of all ages, who were polite, had some grace and possessed the skill and personal attributes to serve you with great dignity and made you feel you were being taken care of properly. This place retains that. Excellent service, coffee and cake. And a very cheery smiling head waiter, who brings an extra element of warmth to the proceedings. If you want real style and elegance, then look no further.
