It seemed to Me ideal. The beds and rooms are comfortable, the service is good and also it is economical. It is perfect if you like a decent place at a great price, with all necessary amenities (hot water, Wi-Fi, breakfast, pillows and bed linen extras, soap, etc)

Quality price is super recommended, the facilities are a bit old but they are always clean. The friendly staff are located bunk beds and private rooms with shared bathroom facilities. All options include a breakfast which is second to none.

Very well-priced, including a generous breakfast, and the dorm rooms are nice and dark. Best sleep I’ve had in a while.

Nice hostel in Quetzaltenango. Cheap and basic, but clean and full of character. My father got a private room with bathroom for Q160, while I got a private room without, upstairs, for Q120. The place was almost empty during our stay. So I had the entire second floor including the bathroom to myself anyway. Both rates included a choice of cooked breakfasts from the menu in the little cafe. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The beds were basically futons — mattress in a wooden base, but comfortable all the same. Linen was provided in our rooms. Can't speak for the dorm rooms as I only glimpsed them. All very clean, and full of simple charm. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay here at the Black Cat in Xela.

A good place, the people attending is friendly, it is cheap (55 QZ) and with breakfasted included, it is clean and quiet. It has some details, but it's worth it!

It is a nice place where there are rooms that you can share with strangers and establish a friendly relationship, the price is quite economic and there is an influx of foreign people from North America and Europe.

The best hostel in Xela. Clean, very friendly staff and for breakfast I got the biggest burrito in my life :D and unlimited coffee :D.

Great value for the price. Good location. Showers are not hot but warm. Awesome breakfast included, one of the best I had in a Guatemalan hostel. The place is clean and there is always people around in the bar to chill with. However the room I had was at the street and pretty noisy. Also not only yhe beds but the whole room was very wobbly and shaky. Everytime someone would walk in the room all the furniture would shake.

The best breakfast you can get in a hostel. Rooms are clean. Hot water. Nice and friendly staff! Q55 for a dorm bed.

Super friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Some rooms needed more furniture, like a desk, a chair and a lamp. Very well located near the center of town.
