Unfriendly staff! Guest not wearing mask for example in the elevator and most of all during breakfast and the staff didn’t say anything! The service is very bad during breakfast and same food during the 5 nights we are staying here! The staff on the desk are unfriendly too and they don’t speak English very well they don’t understand too! Anyway this hotel? 5 stars? Really?

The hotel itself is beautiful and comfortable. However, if you walk a few blocks in any direction you might be putting your life in your hands. It is in a very bad part of town. My family and I went to walk a few blocks and there were needles and crack pipe on the ground and a man exposing himself in the middle of the street. We did not feel safe leaving the block the hotel was on by foot after that.

Nice hotel comfort rooms gentle staff I am satisfied from the hotel. The restaurant above in 9th floor of the hotel needs new menu they have almost nothing only pasta it was a dissapointment for me I had visit it 2017 the things were better in the Restaurant. The hotel deserves a good vote 8 from 1 to 10 for me expensive also the orange juice 8 euros!

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, room has a great view and all the facilities needed, very clean and quiet. We had dinner in the rooftop restaurant and it was just GREAT, also a good variety at the breakfast. I would like to thank all the staff and an extra big thank you to Angie, it's clear that the staff is very passionate. Keep up the good job.

Amazing view of the Acropolis & the city of Athens from the rooftop restaurant, excellent service, delicious food, superb desserts.

I surprised my husband with a trip to Greece for his birthday and I was smart enough to chose Wyndham Grand Athens. Lista is by far the kindest, most amazing and courteous person we met in Greece. I have to say she did everything she could to make our stay not only comfortable but also very special. I was shocked to find out that she is fairly new but nonetheless wonderful. Keep being wonderful young lady, my husband and I are more than appreciative.

Insane traffic, crammed spaces, and high prices.

All the services, staff and amenities here at this hotel are second to none. The entire staff is amazing, but one in particular stood out head and shoulders above the rest. Her name is Maria. I didn't ask her last name but she works at the Rooftop restaurant. She has gone above and beyond to be helpful to all the guests. Please give this girl, a raise, a title and a promotion. She is so honest, genuine and humble, wanting only to serve and please. She has a winning attitude and personality and the best and nicest person I have met in Greece.

Our family was only there one night but the staff, amenities and view was amazing. Great location to visit the sites.

Hotel was very nice and clean. A lot of nice shops and restaurants right outside the hotel. Lina who sits by reception did a great job setting up our tours in Athens for us tailoring then to our needs. The drivers took us to all the nice must see spots in Athens in a nice newer model air conditioned Van and were very courteous and knowledgeable of the area and history. I highly recommended you set up your tours with Lina. Great experience overall for our stay here.

Beautiful place with incredible breakfast buffet and rooftop view of Acropolis.

Just want to say a huge thank you to Angie and the staff at this great place. You made us feel so welcome and were so helpful with all our needs.
After traveling for a very long 2 weeks, this place offered us a sanctuary from the hustle & bustle of this City called Athens.
Love the room & the bathroom was soooo luxurious. I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Athens.

The hotel is very clean and the staff are super nice. I accidentally left my phone outside the hotel and I was amazed when one of the staff, Julio, brought back. He was a savior. Thank you Wyndham Grand for such a comfortable stay.

Good comfortable rooms, the best chose for breakfast I ever had. A lot of small, but not expensive restorants around with a perfect Greek food. Very friendly stuff.

Every single staff member from the front desk concierge to the 6th floor staff members serving the restaurant are grade A. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The hotel is right by the metro line and a taxi stand is only a few steps away. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very clean and cool looking. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast buffet had a very nice variety and a lot to choose from including honey that you took directly out of a honey comb. The pool looked a lot larger in the pictures but in reality it’s very small and crowded I was unable to find a seat. Overall I would give them B-

We stayed at the newly opened Wyndham apartments this summer as we visited Greece for the first time. We wanted a hotel that was modern, stylish and central in order to get around Greece’s islands easily. The Wyndham couldn’t have exceeded our expectations more. The staff, from the cleaners to the manager are the picture of politeness and caring. We felt so looked after — it felt like being celebrities. The front of house staff, most notably Alexandra and Konstantina are perhaps the most genuinely lovely staff of any hotel we have stayed at. We got engaged during our time at the hotel and whilst the complimentary drinks and deserts sent to our room were a really lovely touch, it was their genuine personal excitement at our news and their warm, happy faces every morning since. The hotel itself is wonderful. The beds are astonishingly good and the waterfall shower heads are HUGE. The entire hotel feels very modern and sleek and is immensely competitive for its price. In short, you would be mad to stay anywhere else. With a big cafe / bakery next door and a taxi rank outside you have everything you need to start your Greek adventure. A place is only ever as good as its staff and with the Wyndham you really are getting 5 star treatment.

What I would expect from a 5 star luxury hotel. Beautiful decor, rooms are comfortable, lots of room. Rooftop bar and restaurant one of the highlights of the hotel. The pool area is quite small. Great view of the Acropolis. Would definitely come back and stay at this hotel.

We were evacuated to this hotel from the hotel in Nea Makri after forest fires, and we really appreciated the care and organization by Wyndham staff and management. Special thanks to Mr Thanasis, Magda, Anna and others in the hotel.
We will definately come back and we recommend this hotel to others.

A fantastic hotel not far from Athens city center. The staff is friendly and they constantly help with tips to visit the city. The restaurant is very good but slightly pricey. We got a great room with views to the acropolis. Recommended.

Excellent! We enjoyed our stay here in this hotel it's location is central and very close to metro so we were able to explore athens easily, the rooms were modern, clean just spectacular and we'll equipped. The hotel is relaxing with very friendly staff. The lady at the rooftop name's Magda was very professional and responsive to all our request. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choices! e Excellent service 10/10! recommend 100%

This hotel is awesome, from check-in to check-out the staff was great! Our room was very clean and comfortable. One of the best hotels I have stayed in and would go back in a heart beat!

Big and with many facilities. However, maintenance is poor. The curtain of my room is broken, my room was stinking and Wi-Fi doesn’t work inside it, only near the door. Pool area has too few chairs and there’s nobody to serve at the pool bar. The breakfast is good, but the service is not. I asked for a soft cooked egg, with specific instructions to boil for 5 minutes. They've got almost crazy, because didn't know what to do in such an unexpected situation.

“5 star facilities but 3 star service” Nice facilities, great views from top floor and from our Acropolis room view, gym was adequatelly equipped, breakfast was good and the beds were really nice Services are overall lacking in the sense that nobody seems to care about your experience at the grand wyndham. … First day at the pool we asked for towels at least 3 times and never got any of those under our 2 hour timeframe we were at the pool (Got the explanation that the towels were finished and they were on their way…). We had some guests with us at the restaurant on the top floor the same evening where there were 3 people serving but only one was taking the orders. After waiting for about 25 min they finally took our order. Not even once during our visit at the restaurant the waiters came to refill our glasses from the wine or water bottle they had placed in a cooler 1, 5m from the table. The food was ok, besides the tagliatta steaks we had on the lava stone that came cold, we were asked if we wanted some more bread, guess what bread never arrived. The third day of our stay we were at the pool and wanted to eat something so we ordered 2 Angus hamburgers and asked for some truffle mayo. The waiter confirmed our order and some minutes after brought us only one set of cuttlery, and asked us if we are going to share?!? I then answered in Greek that we ordered 2 burgers and not one.

All construction finished. Nice Wyndham property. Very nice beds. Secure, modern facility with friendly, helpful staff and doorman. News/food vendor, sightseeing bus tour stop, great Bread Factory restaurant and metro stop all within 100 ft of hotel. Area is in process of being improved. Can use rooftop pool/bar at sister property across road.

The air conditioning is not working in room The thermostat is set at 16 degrees Celsius and the fan speed is set as H (high). It’s been for over five hours and the room is still hot. After repeated calls to the front desk, they sent a plumber to look at the A/C. He put his hand next to the vent and claimed that it was working fine. Absolutely poor customer service.

Excellent location! Literally steps from the metro which connects you anywhere you want to go. Across the street is the Bread Factory where you can buy everything from gelato to authentic Greek meals just like Yiayia used to make! Prices are awesome. Adorable restaurants just outside the hotel. Two ATM’s right outside the hotel. One located to the left and across the street and the other further down the street on the right. The hotel has an awesome breakfast. The rooms look brand new and the entire hotel smells wonderful! Hotel rooftop bar has stunning views. Pool is on the smaller side however perfect after a long day of sightseeing. The receptionists are excellent. Shout out to superstars Angie and Alexandra! They’re the best! We’ll definitely return!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very nice and very clean! The only thing that sucked was that we booked last minute so we couldn't get a king bed. There was a shower and a tub so that was great and it's those rainfall showers so bonus points for that! The rooftop restaurant was really great, you can see the Acropolis from it and there's binoculars so you can really get a close up look. The desserts there were amazing! Very delicious, well made and we'll plated. The prices were not too bad but we only had dessert and drinks. There's a pool up there too which was cool and there's a spa in the building. When you check in you get free 15min massages and coupons for free drinks at the restaurant if you go early. There are two great places to eat just outside the hotel as well, right across the street. Much more affordable than the rooftop restaurant. I'd definitely stay there again!

Clean hotel, well priced and friendly staff. Excellent selection for breakfast but staff very disorganised in clearing away, relaying tables and replenishing plates, cups etc, they will action when asked but aren’t always proactive. Pool area is small but pleasant, could do with redesigning glass screen by waterfall to stop spray when it’s windy. Room spacious and has a safe, only thing the room needed was a full length mirror. Complimentary water in room for arrival and two free espresso coffees that was nice but seemed a bit cheap for the style of hotel it proclaims to be. Only point to note is it’s located in a fairly rough area, brothels, beggars, open drug taking, so take care late at night if walking alone.

This is such a great hotel! There wasn't anything that I didn't love about it! The breakfast buffet was marvelous! Definitely would recommend to anyone! +Great location and staff!

Visited Greece for the first time and stayed at this beautiful hotel! The staff was so extremely friendly and their customer service is like nothing I’ve ever received before. All of their staff we encountered were pleasant, happy and helpful on showing us what attractions to see and what places to eat at. Their restaurant Above on the top floor has the best view of Athens. The food was AMAZING and the presentation of the food and drinks was so beautiful. Also a very good price for the quality service and food you receive here. Anyone staying in Athens book here!

Good location and good hotel.

It was good hotel except the kitchen staff. They were really dirty! And if you want to go somewhere in Athens, you should use a taxi because the hotel's location is not one of the good place in the city.

Was here for a conference, held in their basement conference center. The bedrooms were very adequate — like a thousand other modern rooms. Air conditioning worked great. Food was good but not great. Conference center struggled to keep the temperature of the rooms down.

Very good hotel not far from the Parliament and Plaka. Efficient staff speaking Italian. Rooms spacious and spotless, breakfast with a great variety of Greek specialities and hearty. Panoramic views and swimming pool from the ninth floor.

I booked tons of rooms for my wedding guests there and everything was great. The checkin was a bit late although we had specified this during booking. To their defence the hotel was fully booked and ppl tend to checkout late. The breakfast was really good. The rooftop bar is great with a very nice view of the acropolis. The service and staff in general were all amazing! Recommended.

The hotel in general has little (dark) light and most of the rooms have a view of the interior. The gym is very small also the spa, but the terrace and pool area is nice with good view. You have to pay for the water you ask for.

This was our very first trip out of the country. All I can say is that or stay at the Wyndham Grand Athens was a joy. The hotel staff, from the doormen to the counter assistants was first rate. The room and view were amazing. Comfortable beds and a few free Expresso coffees to boot! The location gave us plenty of choices of places to eat (The Bread Factory across the street will challenge your will power not to overeat too many sweets! ). We were given many options for tours and sight seeing by the staff. This was a great way to start out visit to Greece. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic hotel which is tidy, well designed and clean. You can enjoy great views of the acropolis while eating a lovely dinner on the rooftop. The rooftop also comes with a nice rooftop pool and bar, perfect for cooling off after traveling or viewing the city. The bedroom was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was so comfy it made it hard to get up. The room is well equipped including an iron and ironing board, hair dryer and the usual bits you expect from a top quality hotel. Parking is available round the back. The car is parked for you as it's underground accessed via a car lift. Next time we visit Athens we will definitely be staying here.

Nice decor, location is taxi/ metro ride from everywhere. Nice view from roof top restaurant & bar of the Acropolis. Enjoyed lunch & dinner in the restaurant however the bar man is quite unfriendly. Breakfast was excellent & the rooms very clean & comfortable.

Hotel adequate to the level of Greek some flaws, but nothing serious. It is located in an area of town not indicated late in the evening. On the whole appropriate classification in Greece but it is not a five star and absolute.

Very helpful staff friendly and accommodating. Good clean rooms. Location central but still close to some unsettling streets. Very disappointing gym. It really shouldn't be called that. The only machine was not functioning. No free weights. One other guy walking in and walked out angry.

Stylish hotel that is also good value for money. One of few hotels in Athens that have a rooftop pool. Staff is friendly and helpful. It is however not the best neighborhood, and the pool area is a little bit crowded.

For a 5 star we were utterly disappointed. Myself and my husband stayed here for our honeymoon. The rooms were clean but that's where the positives stop. The hotel staff had no personalities and always looked miserable. The pool is tiny and could never accommodate that many people. Out of our 5 night stay we didn't get to the pool area once. Also on the rooftop area which is communal myself and my husband were asked to leave because we had a bottle of water and a can of coke that was not bought on the premises. The restaurant area was always empty because the food and drink prices are extortionate when you can literally walk outside the hotel and get authentic Greek food. The place was like a ghost town and a bad atmosphere. Our sink was also covered in tiny bugs where they had also placed a sign saying water is safe to drink. Ahhh no thanks. Also at check in we were told breakfast finished at 11. We arrived down at the same time each morning at approx 10.40 and had breakfast. The last morning we arrived and everything had been taken away at this time. When I asked reception the rude trainee said it finishes at 10.30 so we had to go find breakfast elsewhere. From a 5 star you would expect better management. Would rather stay at 3 or 4 star hotels where you are treated with more respect. I don't expect a reply either as they only respond to positive reviews.

Feeling a little ripped off. The hotel is very nice in the reception and dining areas. But the rooms (we had premium suite) seems old and shabby. Cracks between tiles in every corner. Pieces of bathroom hardware falling off or loose/almost off. A curly black hair on the bathroom floor (not ours). Cold floors. Not possible to dry wet clothes. Was probably good once, but has not been maintained. Should be cheaper.

Beautiful new hotel in upcoming neighbourhood of Athens. Clean rooms, superb bathrooms with great shower! Some rooms offer views on the Acropolis. Rooftop pool a bit small and therefor busy but… the bar and views on the rooftop are absolutely amazing! Great service, good food in the 2 restaurants.

Hotel staff is very accomodating and friendly. The breakfast is great, as is the rooftop restaurant and pool. I would recommend to stay here if your ever in Athens. The hotel itself is only a few metro stops away from the main sites.

The hotel is very nice and clean, and the service was top notch. Make sure you go upstairs to the rooftop restaurant where you get amazing 360 views. It is breathtaking! The only slight downside is the location of the hotel. There wasn't too much happening around here and there are some dodgy streets and lanes that you'd best avoid, especially during the evening's. It is about 15-20 minutes walk from some great bars and restaurants near the flea markets. Make sure you try the food just outside of the entrance of the hotel. It is one of the best that I've had in Greece. You'll also find tour buses right across the road from the hotel that will take you around the city. We didn't take this but the cost was around 25 Euros or so. All in all it was a excellent stay and highly recommended.

The hotel is wonderful without a doubt, the view of the last floor is amazing, 24 hour gym, 2 restaurants, very comfortable and complete rooms etc. But the area where it is located is somewhat dangerous, it is better to go by Metro to the historic centre of Athens.

Friendly staff. Clean and reasonable. We enjoyed our 4 day stay here. Some action arose when the Prime Minister of Greece arrived. Lots of security and police. Pretty funny.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel manager has sent us a basket with welcome fruits; Great, very clean … I do not like the neighborhood of the hotel, its surroundings make you feel unsafe.

Nice hotel and reasonable location and distance to metro. This is quickly in the city center, but is also within easy walking distance. Unfortunately, in my opinion it does not meet the 5 star classification but rather as a 4 star hotel. A great rain shower was installed in the bathroom. Unfortunately not suitable for the shower, because the entire bathroom is flooded. The additional hand shower must then be used for manual showering (rather 2 star hotel). This had been given to the hotel as a feedback. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The breakfast is rather simple and all the eggs were cold. The service was also rather sparse and on coffee must be waited forever. We had a travel agent 100% paid too much for the room, for a simple room with a view of the courtyard.

4 day trip to Athens (Feb 22 thru 27, 2017), very much enjoyed the newly renovated hotel and rooms. Everything was extremely clean and fresh. The whole staff from desk reception to doormen were extremely helpful in getting a cab located for us and giving directions to driver in Greek for our destinations. Unfortunately my cell phone was stolen on the metro, and the front desk staff went above and beyond to help me with that situation. They were extremely professional, courteous, and sympathetic in a stressful time. We enjoyed the hotel dining overlooking the city and Parthenon views, the food was excellent. Would stay there again and recommend it.

Good hotel, safe above the standard in Athens. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to leave the concierge for directions.

Hotel very recommendable to stay in Athens. Spacious rooms, quality breakfast and Roof Garden with the best views of the city. Of the few places where you can contemplate the wonderful view of the Acropolis and Mount Lycabitos at the same time. Hotel with swimming pool (summer time) and private parking. Just three metro stops from Syntagma Square.
