It is a hotel with relatively large rooms and beautiful bathroom. There is kettle as well as tea and soluble coffee in the room. That was it with the postive thing.
All rooms facing the street are noisy. The Wi-Fi slowly. The 3rd floor is faster than the very small elevator. In summer it is uncomfortable hot in the room. In the case of the
Room on the ground floor (No. 11) you can not even open the window at night, because it is so low that you could get in from the parking lot and also has the exhaust gases right in front of your nose. A NoGo. At the reception there is only the lapidary comment that you could make the outside blinds down. So in summer unfortunately hardly gets any air in the stuffy room.
The beds are large but the mattresses are much too soft.
No thank you. I don't have to go there voluntarily and I can't recommend it.

Super nice hotel, stylishly furnished, large rooms, great bathrooms and the windows are soundproof (important in the direct proximity to the train station). Three minutes walk to the train station (when the traffic light is red) and to the city centre even shorter. The breakfast buffet is well adapted to the needs of the guests and the décor of the breakfast room is positively "different". The seating groups are very comfortable. The elevator is ultra-slow, but the stairway is also manageable to move larger loads, the elevator is very practical. In summary: Friendly staff, great rooms and an excellent ambience. A completely positive impression.

Grey Hotel is quietly located about 3 minutes from the HBF. The staff at the reception is very friendly. Prices moderate.
The rooms are modern and functionally furnished. The rooms are very clean and the towels smell really very pleasant.
Breakfast is included in the price. If you are on the road earlier, a packed lunch will be prepared on request.

This is one of the best budget hotels in Wallring area. 3-min walk from Dortmund Hbf and 30-sec. Walk from main street Westenhellweg. Free breakfast has a variety of choices incl. Smoked salmon. Also, if you pay €3, you're free to use fitness center which is around 5-min. Walk from hotel. Hotel itself is a bit small but you'll surely feel cozy. Recommended for long-stay traveler.

Nice room, class breakfast, at reservation parking behind the house. For the top downtown location absolutely reasonable prices.

Very close to the main station and the pedestrian area/nice welcome/rooms are top furnished & the cleanliness in the bathroom is not to be faulted. I would recommend visiting it again, as well!

I was with my partner for a night guest at the grey. We were greeted with a pleasant ambience. The name of the hotel is reflected in many aspects, but is rounded off by coloured aspects. We were impressed by our room, especially the very high comfy bed. The décor is kept modern and looks very stylish. The cleanliness and service were good grace. And the breakfast is highly recommended and a large selection was available. Gladly again.

Parking is a little cramped. Very nice. Unfortunately, the entire night also penetrated the cries of the youth of Dortmund into the room, so clearly that on the first floor even some individual words were understood. So a restful sleep is unfortunately not possible. To say goodbye, you were not asked once if you liked it. Very different from the breakfast buffet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and the bathroom nice sized.

A small but fine hotel. The reception is classy and takes care of all hotel-specific inquiries quickly and reliably.
Especially commendable are the responsible ladies in the breakfast room. One is greeted for breakfast with a smile already after a few stays with names. So the upcoming day can start easily and relaxed.
This hotel I can highly recommend.

The lighting in the rooms is "ghastly" and the parking management also leaves something to be desired. The rooms are all different and not really tailored to the needs of the guest, more precisely: We were there with the whole family, had with my partner a 1.40 bed only a closet and hardly any room. Others of the family were there alone and had a huge room with 2meter bed. So there are room for improvement. The breakfast is great and the staff is very friendly. Viewed locally, the hotel is well located, shopping and shopping opportunities are 2min away when you're on foot. View it's not bad, but also not great.

D8e beleuchtung auf den Zimmern ist "grauenhaft" und das parkplatzmanagment lässt auch zu wünschen übrig. Die er sind alle unterschiedlich und nicht wirklich auf die Bedürfnisse des Gastes zugeschnitten, genauer, waren mit der ganzen Familie da, hatte mit meiner Partnerin ein 1, 40 Bett nur einen Schrank und kaum Raum. Andere der familiebwaren alleine da und hatten ein riesen er mit 2meter Bett. Also da bestehen verbesserumgsmöglichkeoten. Das Frühstück ist super und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Lokal betrachtet, ist das Hotel gut angesiedelt, Einkaufs und Shopping Möglichkeiten sind 2min weit weg, wenn man zu Fuß unterwegs ist. Ansicht ist es nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht super.

Late Check In at night is not a problem. Unfortunately, the rooms are not so comfortable due to the tiles. But very clean and even coffee and tea in the room.

The suites are great. Kingsize bed. Clean. Happy again.

4 nights spent here in this very nice hotel with lovely staff who are very helpful and more than made our stay so pleasant. The room that we were given was excellent very large with two bedrooms and smart looking bathroom. Breakfast was ok with something for all to eat. The hotel is situated in the city centre which made life for getting around the city great, First class hotel.

After I was already in "The Grey", I have reserved this time there again. And, contrary to expectations regret. The room had a sloping roof, I assume that larger people won't be able to stand upright. The bathroom is extremely poorly lit and very small. The ventilation is defective, so that during the shower, everything (and I mean the room where the bed is) were complete and it was wet. This has not changed, unfortunately, with the installation of a new fan. The Breakfast on the 2. The day of the Hit, egg shells in the scrambled eggs, and a fermented pineapple was not. I discussed everything at Check out and received only a "sorry". For the price of € 169, — I find it very poor.

The Grey Hotel is a lovely small hotel 10min away from the central station. The rooms are modernly designed and I really appreciated the bed! Furthermore the hotel offers a rich and tasty breakfast. WLAN and tea in the room is free.

Günstige Lage, nahe am Bahnhof und nicht weit zur Fussgängerzone. Netter Service und leckeres Frühstück mit reichlicher Auswahl. Angenehme Zimmer, mit großzügigem Badezimmer.

More appearance than reality. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The Breakfast buffet is very good and to request a Parking space reserved. Room is clean, big and the bed is good. However, I expect with a name like that, no drill holes in the walls, a damaged mirror and more Style. The bathroom is nicely done, however, fit the probably already older toilet not to the Rest. Also the selection of television channels is minimal, and the Transmitting are not set correctly.

Awesome for a short trip into the heart. Happy again.

The hotel absolutely exceeded my expectations! Clean, modern, well equipped and a real breakfast, no crisp rolls. All very nicely decorated private parking, (if booked with) and insanely great, clean showers, as one would expect it here. Bath accessories were also completely ready. Walking into the main pedestrian zone about 3 minutes.

Very happy to always come back.  Very good price-performance ratio.  Modern rooms.  Very clean rooms and bathrooms.  The breakfast was super-, especially when you consider that it is a smaller hotel.  Very centrally located just a few minutes walk to the shopping street/Christmas market.
