Worst hotel I have ever been in. Food so bad we had to eat out. By no means this is a 4star hotel. Dirty and damp. Save your money.

I highly recommend not to leave the car in the hotel parking lot, they have cameras, but are nothing, are not recorded, the broken back window, and robbed of a suitcase and clothing value, no protection. Everything in the middle of the day under the eyes and the cameras.

Fantastic hotel staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about bus and train service where to purchase tickets etc nothing is too much trouble even cleaned rooms everyday over Christmas can’t thank you all enough for your help during our stay we will be back ⚽️

Nice service, how ever they rent you rooms in 3rd floor (attic) while they are supposed to be half rooms since you can't walk inside the the room with your head up due to low inclined ceiling! I pumped my head in concrete ceiling few times. Wi-Fi was not available!.

The worst hotel I ever got booked in. And the receptionist was one of the most disrespectful person I have ever met. We arrived at the hotel at 11 am which was 3 hours earlier than our check in. We where asked to wait 3 hours and as we had the luggage we sat there waiting. At 2 pm I went over and asked her about the room she said sorry room is not available we will move you to a different hotel. She made us wait 3 hours for absolutely nothing when she could have just come over and said that without wasting our time. The hotel we where going to be moved was very far from the centre of Rome and so we checked out and booked a property through airbnb and had to take taxi there. By the time we reached the property it was 7 pm. So basically from 11 am to 7pm our time in Rome was just utter chaos because of the inconvenience Black Hotel caused. They did not even apologise or offer a refund. The only thing they offered is their colleague will transfer us in their grocery transporting van to the other hotel they moved us to. We did not let ourselves down and decided to enjoy our time in Rome and did not let that ignorant disrespectful irresponsible receptionist ruin our time in Rome. Never ever will I book at this hotel or recommend anyone to book this hotel.

The hotel looks good, but needs some renovation and maintenance work. The rooms are beautiful, large, bright and clean, with parquet and comfortable beds. Comfortable and well-appointed bathrooms. But the lights, the minimal abat jour, the fridge and electrical outlets, the curtains. They are often broken or malfunctioning. The mouquet that decorates the communal spaces is dirty and smelly. The hotel cleanliness is good. Breakfast is also good, but it doesn't offer great choice for gluten and dairy intolerant … The pool adds great value. The staff at the front desk are not always nice…

It doesn't take four stars. Booked a 3-seater room — placed in a 2-seater with an additional cot. Bad Wi-Fi in the room. Free parking, daily cleaning, good breakfasts.

Lovely hotel. Difficult to get to as its very off the beaten track and not very well known. Good helpful reception staff in the daytime and nice buffet at night for €15 each. Supermarket nearby 10 — 15 minutes walk. Shuttle bus provided to and from nearest metro station for €3 each. Excellent coffee adequate breakfast with very pleasant staff. Nice outdoor unheated pool.

Very nice waiters really never seen so much availability but in spite of me it was a bad experience between the room with the air conditioning that did not work, broken curtains, the shower door broken and for this flooded the whole bathroom, lizards in room horrendous and personal thing at the grumpy entrance and when you asked a question it looked like they were making fun of you. Too superior. Hotel overall very nice but some features described on the site do not match.

Gorgeous hotel, not completely unreasonable to get to via public transport, nice rooms. However, stuff was broken in our room, the breakfast was pitiful, and the staff were mostly quite rude and surly (with the exception of the fella hosting the bar and evening buffet). At one point, I went to inform the staff that part of the pool had broken, and the staff didn't listen to me, instead concerned with the fact that I'd brought wet footprints into the lobby (I realise that's not a good thing, but I figured they'd want to know that one of their pool lights was floating free in the pool). Pool was still broken 2 days later when we left. I did enjoy my stay overall but was frequently irritated.

Black Hole… Sorry, Black Hotel: Very difficult to find. Following the directions on their website we ended up walking along the roads with our bags playing chicken with the very heavy traffic. Miles away from anywhere and very unwelcoming! The hotel is trying to be a trendy boutique hotel but falling far short of the mark. Dark, dingy and very tired. The bed was very hard, we had only one flat pillow each and just a thin sheet to protect us from the icy blasts of air dropping straight onto our heads from the air conditioning (which would not turn off) so we froze all night! One guy on reception was helpful, the rest were very rude, totally disinterested and most unhelpful. As there is nothing but a shoe store and a supermarket in the immediate vacinity, we had to eat at the hotel on the first night, this is NOT recommended. Although the waiter was pleasant enough, the food was awful. My booking agent had requested a room with a nice view and a late checkout. Our room looked out over bins and rubbish and as for late checkout, forget it, unless you want to pay €30. We had to wander around Rome and the airport from 11am until our flight at 21.45! If you choose to pay for the hotel shuttle into town be sure to take the hotel phone number with you, they forgot to collect us, I had to ring the hotel to remind them! Yes, it is a low cost hotel, but how it can be advertised and sold as 4* is beyond me! 2* is pushing it a bit!

We arrived at the hotel and were shown to our room it was number 10… do not stay in this room it’s not good (bins outside window and facing a wall) we quickly got changed to another room and this was perfectly ok. The barman and nighttime staff are so welcoming and always have a smile. Nothing is too much to ask. Try the food it’s only 15 euros and far superior to anything we’ve ate in Rome all week. Pool closed till June so bit disappointed. Bit far away from Rome but on the whole this is a fabulous hotel.

Very nice hotel, staff are friendly and food is great for the price. Cheap and cheerful.

Negative experience. In the accommodation (quadruple room) We found dirty walls, hanging loose applique, Windows without handle repaired at the time, bathroom sink clogged. It looked more like a room-equipped closet for the occurrence, not to mention that the supplement of the 2 beds cost an eye of the head. Bad.

I stayed from you this weekend arriving in the room and it did not work the bathroom light and then it worked… try if the phono is working and it is broken… Call and service has gone 40 minutes to get another one. In the early morning you can not sleep because the cleaning trolley makes noise already from 07:00 in the morning. The other room where my mum was there was the mini fridge that made a whistle that bothered you. In his room there was a blanket while we didn't. The shower towels are too small for adults. Breakfast is also great some things the boiled egg you this morning nin was well cooked Glu were missing another 3 minutes at the end of cooking. Breakfast is plentiful there in American style Italian vegan sliced cheese butter egg juice fruit extracts tea hot coffee briosh cucumbers tomatoes Macedonia cereals bread jams milk yogurt, and 2 other things I do not remember.

Hi arrived at the Black hotel with family from 2/04/18 till Monday 9/04/18. All the way fae Scotland the Scottish girls 2 rooms booked, twin/ double room and for the third person it’s s camp bed it’s a twin room make sure you tell them so beds can be seperated into single bed not a lot of room but suitable as it’s only to sleep as your in RomeBreakfast included each morning. Continental with lots of pastries, scrambled and boiled eggs with mini sausages will be something there that you like if not only need to ask and the waiter and waitress very helpful the cappuccino from the machine is very tasty. Hotel decor was not to bad just the usual wear and tear marks on walls etc but was clean and the staff that clean your room every morning were polite and they do a great job. The Scottish girls made a friend or to and one staff member in particular was extremely good to us always making sure we had our drinks the pina colado cocktail drinkers and they were delicious if he reads this or the management are reading he works most nights in the restaurant and bar area from 4.30 till 11.

It is a terrible hotel, I do not recommend it to anyone, the bed sheets did not change us, one day we did not make the room, we arrived from Rome which by the way is very far the hotel (half an hour) and we had no clean towels, the remote control of the TV Vision was asked 3 times and I did not get it in the 4 days I was there. The cistern of the toilet was ruined and finally on top of all this I demand to pay a fee at the end of the stay without having informed me before that, which obviously did not pay and as I collect it on the card I will denounce. So I don't recommend it to anyone. The staff at the restaurant is just the only thing worth it. The rest the worse!

Good friendly staff nice place to stay bit far from city centre.

In the morning you do not sleep cause noises of the cleaning cart… slam through the hallway… and also externally… changed room was missing the remote control of the TV, the lamps near the bed and did not work the fridge… What about education and very efficient cleaning… The ant's that scampering for the cabinets of the room… the price seems too high for the services…

I recommend it… very friendly hotel The rooms are very clean and the staff friendly and polite… but I would recommend it especially for breakfast… Excellent… with freschibe foods deliciously homemade! The staff in the also breakfast room are friendly and helpful.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We found it far from the city centre, poorly serviced and quite secluded. On arrival we noticed the reception which is rather nice but very dark and that gives directly to the restaurant. The room was composed of a large bed of 2 people and a bed of one person but it was not hyper spacious, the same for the bathroom where the shower was composed of an opaque window overlooking the room, really not top for privacy! The paint was not spotless and one of the outlets was not working but it was clean.
The breakfast, in the form of a buffet, offers various things not super appetizing; We had had scrambled eggs that were cold, we were forced to claim hot ones. The staff are rather nice, they took care to prepare us a bag containing food for breakfast that we could not take to the hotel on the last day due to our morning flight schedule.
The hotel is enough to stay only at night but we attribute it to only 3 stars and not 4.

Too baf location there is no footpath to reach here and nearest bus stop is 800 metres atleast that too last 500 meters without path for walking. It ia nightmare to come here. No places to eat out near by. For obvious reasons. They mention many services in there site like free shuttle, sauna, swimming pool etc, so let me tell you shuttle is charged per trip per person to nearest metro, also sauna never works as always under repair, swimming pool works in some particular season, I think it never comes. Highly disappointed. Its at least two hours from main train station.

Hotel is good, but location is very very bad if you coming for travelling rome. Can take upto 2 hours from termini Station.

A comfortable modern hotel that is on the outskirts of Rome. It is not ideally located for central Rome unless you have a car or have the money to spend on taxis as it takes a five to ten minutes walk to a bus and then onto the underground Metro train all of which takes around an hour to get into the historic areas. For those without a car It is not ideal but it is in a quiet location and is well run.

Travel from 22 to 25 February 2015.
The hotel never picked up or cleaned the room during the stay.
We would leave at 7 in the morning, every day, and we would return in the NAP time to rest awhile before embarking on the afternoon/evening route.
One day we arrived at 15 and another at 16:15. Neither of the two days had picked up or cleaned the room…

Not occupy third floor. It hurts the head!

Super small sauna, door does not close. No gym room at the hotel, although this is claimed.

It has very good things and some very bad ones. If I go back to Rome I would not return.

Stayed here during my vacation in Rome. The hotel was pretty ok, but definitely not worth 4 stars. The room seemed clean at first look, but actually there were stains on the bed covers and the mattress was stained and nasty. The bathroom had mold on the walls, which made bathing hard because I had to be careful not to touch the mold. The staff on the other hand was helpful and nice, the only complaint I have is that the receptionist didn't excatly know where we could buy bus tickets, which was a bummer because the hotel was so far from the city. Wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're not a fan of public transport or paying 20 euros for a taxi from the hotel to the city. The hotel served breakfast which was good except for the fact that they lacked in equipment to actually keep the food warm or cold, so bacon and eggs were cold and the yoghurts were warm if you didn't go to have breakfast immediately when it was first served. After all, the hotel was more like a 2 or 3 star hotel. For me personally this wasn't a problem, but since you have to pay 6 euros a night citytax for a "4 star hotel", me and my spouse couldn't help feeling a bit robbed.

Hotel confortable. Small but enough.

Pros: Friendly staffs, Nice ambience, good rooms, neat and clean. Cons:Bathtub is a little smaller and complimentary breakfast was minimal. Somewhat outskirts, it can be a pro for some visitors. Recommended.

Design hotel, clean and well maintained, nice staff especially in the breakfast room. Prudent and helpful. Located on a mountain, close to the bus stop, quiet location. We were very happy here.

For a 4 star we are really disappointed, the reception was cold, they put the room in front of the room where breakfast is taken (from 7 pm the noise is untenable)
Certain thing of the room not working, a light, the bathroom door does not close… The breakfast is very little provided and lack of choice (croissant Overfreeze, fruit not ripe…) and to finish I advise the evening meal at the hotel which is D e 15 e per person and that is long to be worth this price not, you eat better out and sometimes por cheaper.
Only good point the bed is comfortable enough.

The area is certainly not central nor convenient to reach, but with the shuttle service (to book) you can easily get to the Metro. The breakfast buffet could be better.

A bit far out from the city but a free shuttle service offered in the mornings to the metro. Good bus service just over the road, 247 takes you into the city but does not run on a Sunday. Hotel clean and comfortable, but dissapointed the pool did not open until June the 15th, as this was the reason we booked here. Why I don't understand as weather hot enough for a pool. Breakfast was okay, not always hot. Ate a few nights in hotel as limited places in the area and food buffet service and tasted good. Quite surprised that it was a buffet for dinner so limited choice.

It is a bit far out, but they do provide a free shuttle to the metro, which is great. The public transport to and around Rome is great. The Room was fine. The air condition wasn't working, the pool wasn't open. The food was not good. I couldn't believe they used tinned fruit at breakfast time. There wasn't a great selection of food in the evening. It was a very basic hotel, but you get was you pay for.

There is no way this is a 4 star hotel. This is more like a 2 star. My expectations upon arriving here was high to a 4 star n maybe that's why I'm being critical. But what's important is that you need to expect 2 stars. Bad location for tourist who is here to visit Rome. I mean transport is OK but I don't want to be stuck in traffic everytime I go out. Room is not that great. Could do better. They are just enough clean. Shower small. Cleaners don't top off soap/Shampoo etc. Room has no facilities for ironing and making a tea. Swimming pool was closed-we were not informed. People keep saying that staff were friendly — I didn't see that. Maybe cz of English. It's not a warm n welcoming place. Maybe good for business travels only.

The hotel room is nice however, the "double" is two single beds pushed together which parted during the night. Not by much, but a noticble amount. The air con does not seem to have any effect on the room temperature. Breakfast was varied to a degree however some of the pasteries were below par. The morning shittle to the metro station did not turn up after at least 30 minutes and my partner and other tourists and I were forced to abandon this plan and head for a bus ourselves. A minor inconvenience however disappointing all the same. The pool has also been taken out of commission for whatever reason.

I offer the black hotel 3 stars at a push, in a 4 star hotel id expect I double matress so I didn't have to rescue my wife from the gap 2 singles made, the room wasn't very clean or modern and the breakfast was cold a good selection but the hot stuff was not nice! The bar is meant to always be open but during the afternoon the receptionist will serve bottled beer and if you want a cocktail you have to wait for a barman! It was a reasonable stay but I'd definitely not give this hotel 4 stars!

Nice clean room good selection buffet breakfast staff helpful. Downside quite a distance outside Rome but good public transport links into the city and a free shuttle bus to the metro from the hotel in the morning but it's one way only.

My experience in this hotel is inovidable. First of all it is quite cheap compared to the service, and the hotel itself. The hotel has a concept that is very good of modernity that looks very good inside and outside of the rooms. The rooms include Wi-Fi super fast, and a few beds which give pleasure to sleep there. The breakfast is within normal. The only thing wrong with it is that it is far from the center of the city.

The rooms at the hotel was very nice, but when we looked correctly. Plaster from the walls was divided, some shower in the mold, has the toilet whenever it gequitscht sit, there was toilet paper only in 1-ply toilet paper had to get us in the business itself. The walls are extremely thin, you can hear the neighbours while defecating. Repetition factor 0.

Cheap and good transport to the tourist spots, tube is very cheep and only a half hour walk or short taxi ride, there is a free van that goes to the station at 8.30, 9.30 & 10.30 to get back from the station you can walk or get a taxi from a nearby taxi rank. Rooms were very good and breakfast was always nice.

Amazing experience, bit inconvenient location but the best breakfast ever and the rooms very nice! (Best mirror for makeup girls! :-) )

Correct rooms, treatment and clean, nice restaurant.
The only weak point is communication with public transportation to Rome Centre and the Vatican, despite the transfer in the morning to 9 h 30-10 h 30.
Return bus to the Via Cornelia to shopping centre.

Hotel good, modern & elegant style particular, hearty breakfast and professional staff, excellent location, sometimes the maid left to be desired but overall cleaning is fine; the rooms are bright and maybe a little less those on the third floor; for a weekend in Rome is perfect!

We stayed in the Black hotel for 3 nights from 19th April 2015, and will never go there again the male receptionist was the rudest person we ever encountered, the room assigned to us was so hot it was like being in an oven, when we inquired about the air conditioners we were told that they don't get turned on until May and we were just told to put up with it, there were no English speaking TV stations, nor any internet service. The bathroom was filthy and had mould/ mildew every where it was also very dangerous. Our room was booked by our travel agent (I wonder how much kick back they get out of it) so a refund was not an option, we went across the road and that hotel offered English TV stations as well as air conditioning. We will never pre — book again and let everyone know what a poor hotel the Black is.

The worst 4 star hotel I have ever been to
Since its arrival, on a bumpy road, the impression is not the best. We appreciate the post industrial, modern minimalist style, the frame and the front door. At the reception the staff barely shows the room number, tells us neither how to reach it, not asking us if you need a hand with your bags, there speaks of the structure and the services included in the package that we booked. The key there is delivered without a case. The corridors with dirty carpet and lisa are dark, gloomy, more like being in a nightclub. In the elevator one of display that should indicate the plans is electrocuted or not functioning.
The first room assigned to us was embarrassingly dirty: bedspread full of dust and hair, bath towel bored, let's open the sheets and we discover even a bloodstain. I run to the front desk to let us change rooms, monster even pictures but they call the housekeeper to verify the accuracy of my information, do not trust. Determined the status of the room, give us a second less floor room 1. Much cleaner but also with obvious signs of poor maintenance: the bathroom is still a bracket on the wall that is not installed any accessory, the SOAP holder in glass is broken, the magnifying mirror bathroom Cabinet and also the cover of chips to the lowest shelf is partially blown. In the room there is a patch of mold on the ceiling and the bars (closed) door window give a sense of oppression.

Unfortunately, the optical presentation of the hotel promises too much. We have booked a 3-bed room and were housed under the roof with appropriate roof slope. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean and modern furnishings. However, us lacked an adequate wardrobe, German TV/radio programs. For a hotel of this category, we expect instead of PVC cups, drinking / tooth cleaning glasses are made of glass. Who expects warm egg, cereal, sausage and cheese selection at breakfast, is also disappointed. Morning free bus shuttle service to the nearest metro station was positive. Reservation is required.

Is a 5 star hotel. I stayed 3 days and is a more comfortable, the food is good, and the clerks were very friendly, helpful, welcoming. But especially for the rooms are very cosy and comfortable, nothing to say 5 stars deserve.

I spent two nights at this last weekend at the Black Hotel and I was happy with the room, very nice and clean, breakfast, shuttle service and wanted to highlight the courtesy and helpfulness of all the staff that I dealt especially Mrs Elena.

Terrible, horrendous, scary, DANGEROUS! Absolutely the WORST 5 star hotel we have ever been to. First of all, our room was not ready for hours. Secondly, my mother got injured by the bathroom door made of ragged sheet metal and the desk clerk didn't even care to ask if she was alright. As she was bleeding all over the place, all he said was "Oh, too bad". We had no windows in our room. It looked like a converted storage shed room. The roof was angled so much that when we lay down on the bed, we could reach up and touch the roof. We all hit our head getting out of bed. Then the lights went out and were out for hours. We went to the front desk to ask what happened the front desk lady said "those crazy china people must have plugged something in. " "They are always doing that". We were given poor directions to get public transportation to Rome. AND IT IS NOT AS ADVERTISED A SHORT DISTANCE INTO ROME! 70 euros by taxi round trip to Vatican. The desk clerks were less than helpful and seem bothered to even have to work there let alone deal with us. We checked out early and went to a different hotel. We went to a 3 star hotel that was 10 times better than the Black Hotel. Even the taxi drivers complained about the Black Hotel.

Hi! My partner and I stayed at the Black Hotel from 25 to 27 June. The hotel is very cosy and stylish. The rooms are pretty spacious and always clean and spotless. The meals were very generous and pleasure. The staff friendly and always helpful, especially the Manager, the receptionist Marica and Joseph Hall. Kudos to the Black Hotel. Highly recommended.

The hotel is extremely poorly located and even though the website claims that they have a shuttle service that will ferry you from the bus stop to the hotel, the service is available only for select hours in the morning. Also, to use the service, you have to book in advance. So if you are a tourist, getting to and from from this hotel is a nightmare, unless you have your own arrangement for transport or want to spend loads of money on cabs The service ranges from bearable to terrible. They have a blond lady at the reception who has the worst attitude I have ever seen. It seems like she hates her job and every guest that comes to the hotel. We were so disgusted with our experience that despite paying for 2 night in advance we checked out after our 1st night here, without getting a refund for the 2nd night and paying additional money to check in at another hotel My recommendation would be to avoid this hotel at any cost.

Unfortunately we had to find that the hotel is publicly poorly accessible. The bus line 264 is about 15 minute walk. The bus towards the Centre runs very infrequently. Today we waited approximately 30 minutes unfortunately without success.
The blonde Lady at reception is usually annoyed. The rest of the staff is okay.
The rooms are clean. Unfortunately, the curtain was broken on our arrival. Thus, it was not possible against strange glances to insulate our rooms located on the ground floor. At least, the curtain was repeated quite quickly.
Wi-Fi was not as promised in the room available only in the lobby. The sauna is charge only with a reservation from 8-20:00.
Unfortunately, the lobby is so dark that it is not possible to read a book.
We have paid 340 euro for 4 nights (2 persons in a double room incl. Breakfast)
We would have expected more us at 4 stars. Due to the poor public connection, we spent quite a lot money for taxis.

The staff were very friendly… Be careful a bit far from the center if you do not have a vehicle.
