I Can only recommend! Check-In after 23h has worked great, email Traffic fast & friendly — explained everything very well. Have made me feel comfortable & like to come back every Time! Even if it's the "wrong" Rhine Side;) * grins.

Be careful! Nowhere has I been treated like this place. The list of reservations is very long. As a person responsible for delegations of employees in the company, I made a reservation, a room for one night for two people. When choosing a room, it is possible to choose the type of bed. I chose two single beds, because the guests were to be employees. Strangers to drivers who had a long tour of Europe behind them, and the next day they were going on another very long route. On booking confirmation, there was always the option of choosing a combination of beds. Unfortunately, I wrongly rewrote the credit card details and booking sent me a message that I have two hours to complete the data, and the reservation is still active. When the drivers arrived, cash was taken from them. Then the staff informed that the booking through booking was canceled. Seeing two adult men and the preferences of accommodation, the service completely ignored this and assigned a tiny room with one bed, overlooking the advanced construction works. To pay attention to the fact that it is supposed to be two single beds, the service reacted aggressively, saying that it was only a privilege and not an obligation to give the type of beds that were reserved. Requests to pay the costs, of course, were completely rejected, a woman from the service even wanted to take the keys to the guests to go. Without paying money. No interventions helped, including e-mails to the hotel.

For a city break a perfect hotel super value for money rooms are not great but clean very friendly staff location is perfect about 25 minutes walk to the Duomo we can only recommend the hotel for our next trip to Cologne we will be here again Book.

To spend 1 night and go to the LANXESS arena is enough:-)

Danced in May in Cologne and slept in the hotel alt deutz. The hotel has its own charm. Highly recommended for the Price. The 4th floor should only be booked if you don't drink too much. Very steep spiral staircase.
Service class. Nice Dreamteam at the Reception.
Breakfast in the neighbouring building for 8, 50 good. There was even champagne for free again for one night.
Rooms are very noisy and the shared bathroom in the hallway was included when Booking. Therefore all good!

Something simple and economical,,, good if you are looking for economy.

Watch out! Over prized old so called "Hotel", but with quite low standard. Many rooms have only toilet and shower in the hallway. I would expect more from this prize.

The hotel was mostly clean and centrally located. The room however was tiny and not really like the pictures. I tried to make changes to the reservation but they were very rigid insisting on applying 100 % charges.

The room was very nice and also the location was perfect for us. The staff very friendly. But unfortunately there were two negative points: the first the rooms are very noisy so we could barely sleep one night because the guests were very loud about us. And in our bathroom there was no heating, so it was very cold when you came out of the shower. And also our shower shower was not obtimal as it had not kept.
But all in all we would visit this hotel room again.

Excellent attention and the pieces even if they are small are very practical, cute and neat! The breakfast was very good.

The worst hotel I've ever visited. The rooms are extremely small, the double bed only 1, 40m wide, completely used, the carpet dirty, the shelf was broken and everything is musty. The price is absolutely not justified. We had paid for a double room with breakfast €195 and the breakfast is not comparable to other hotels. It's not the 8, €50 worth. Never again!

We stayed in the studio room for one night and it was really nice. Beds were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean as well as roomy. No, there was no lift but that's not something a 4 story building in Germany will be equipped with so if stairs are difficult for you then try getting a room on a lower floor. Regarding the noise complaints in previous reviews, it was not an issue for us. All in all, this hotel was very nice as was the staff.

Price-performance is right and even breakfast is recommended. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was not usable for the period of my stay. But optional for short stays.

Room old and lived. Sink in the room. More fitter rooms than hotel room.
Staff quite friendly and very helpful. Parking must be sought. Free parking of 21-9am.

Catastrophe Hotel, I went right back. Old mouldy room, all dingy and staff naughty! Building site in front of the house. Had nothing to do with the pictures on your website when I asked you about it, the answer was: is our partner hotel.!

Bad hotel… tiny room with a bad smell, worn out condition in an old building. Crazy thing is, they turn off energy to the building in the middle of the night so you can't even see properly to go to the bathroom! Bath towel meant for kids not adults! Lots of street noise too and Wi-Fi runs slower than a turtle. Only worth it if you get a VERY low price. Beware!

I wouldn't recommend staying there at all. Noise all the nights, doors squeezing, un professional receptionist.

Never again. Old and grumpy, the room without closet. Toilet and shower in the hallway for 6 parties. The bed linen with stains, with the mattresses you could feel every feather. The staircase steep and no elevator, nothing for older people. Next to the largest construction site. Breakfast as counted rooms overlooking the construction site.

Not comfortable at all, shared bathroom and separate from the room, etc…
The only positive point is the price.

On arrival two receptionists who do not speak English and neither French c is hard. For 149 euros you will be entitled to a room less than 10 meters square with bathroom and common toilet (in the hallway), fortunately the breakfast was OK. Big surprise before putting a comment I realize that the booking rates are going to 41 euros. That's all it's worth. The experience is not to start over.

Hotel is Okay. Old hotel has been renovated. Premises are appropriate. But clean. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is rich, but quality can be disputed …

All clean and tidy, friendly staff but absolutely no value for money.
Professionally have been on site for Mass. For an overnight stay in a double room paid over €200 and bathroom with toilet shared with two other rooms.
The last staircase is unfortunately only for experienced, because very narrow and sticks. Heavy luggage can hardly be done here.
Breakfast is OK, but nothing mind-boggling.
You should only book here if it really can't be another other way.

So really recommend the hotel to sleep at most, back where there was a concert in Cologne and the Ba team didn't tell me how you were the cocktails I find very strange but for that the people, in the breakfast room were super helpful and super nice thanks for that but I don't think I'll be back!

Unfortunately, the pictures on the internet look better than the rooms in reality do. Mold in the shower, wobbling tap, bad light in the bathroom. The house is very clairvoyant, everywhere it crunched. In any case, the bathroom has not only looked like this since yesterday, the other customers have a similar opinion. Free fruit and water don't really help. I hadn't asked for another room — I assumed all the rooms would look like this.

Good place, clean and comfortable. The problem is that they don't have a restaurant for breakfast.

It was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel regarding car parking… After plenty of an hour parking search on given… it was recommended to park at the Lanxes Arena in the parking garage… I had to go early at times the next day to the airport and that I wanted to give me NIC HT at do and I was looking for something else with parking… that should be on the homepage as a hint in.

Comfortable and clean with fantastic showers. Easy access to transport and a short walk to the city centre.

Rooms are neglected. Suffering a lack of proper care. Very expensive doble rooms where the bed is too small and damaged. Shared bathrom is for a sanitary check.

Ok for the price but breakfast definitely could be better. No air-conditioning, slow internet.

We stayed in a double room in their secondary building. Rooms are nice and clean and the service is good. Receptionists are good, too, always ready to help.

Good value hotel in a nice neighbourhood within easy walking distance of the old city and the Cathedral. Pleasant helpful staff, nice rooms — — we stayed in a double room with ensuite bathroom on the 3rd floor. There is no lift (elevator for USA people) so don't go here if that's a problem. There are more basic rooms with shared bathroom and toilet facilities — I can't comment on these.

Is the perfect location to the old town, you reach the bridge in just a few minutes walk and is already there. Room was not fully coming sufficiently in the latest State but clean and tidy — for a city trip. Price very much in order. Would like to see again there a book.

So Bad expirience. People didnt pay attention. Room whit spiders into the bed. If you want to check in at the night, nobody are expecting in recepción. Terrible expirience.

The hotel was very clean and tidy! Over breakfast, we can't say anything, because we had no breakfast! The beds were too soft, that could have been something fixed! But we were on the whole happy!

We have reserved a double room on booking, and deposited our credit card data. Arrived in the evening we have in cash paid but at his own request at the front desk! The employee has informed us about the culture-tax tax and explains the rest, but not accounted for cash, so that the amount was also charged by the credit card.
Of course I got contacted immediately the hotel which is now the last is real:
Because I could show no evidence that it is by the management that I not sure bar have paid, the money not refunded back is to me, and no more Koresspondez is desired = ergo I'm a liar, that has nothing better to do than €46 with fraud and Lügenzu erwirtschaftenxD… Unfortunately, the error of the employee who was by the way new was not held to account. How does one prove the truth without a receipt today?

There are super fair hotels in Cologne, just working. You pick out please another.
Or if you've ended up there be. INSISTS on a receipt if you paid cash!

Not because of the money, now it is simply the anger about this injustice, and insisting on the truth!

Reasonable price / performance ratio for location, stay, and breakfast in the neighbouring local. Very nice staff.
Slowly you should take but a FussbodenRenovierung especially in the stairwell in attack.
Besides that, if I complain the missing second blackout curtain after the first night, then it should be installed prior to departure in order. Especially when compared to apartments.

Clean, very basic room (I took a double room with a private bath) that was walking distance from the Kolnmesse exhibition center. No bells and whistles, but it was conveniently located and comfortable enough for the price. Would stay there again if I go to another trade show at Kolnmesse.

With my partner, I had the room 115, which appeared somewhat closely to us, for the one who lies in bed on the side of the window, must rise at night in any case about his partner if he even have to get up, because you virtually can't go due to the tightness around the bed; Here there may be a security risk. The provided glasses were not clean. The staff was very pleasant and obliging. For the price I want no beef actually. Central location, many shops, even a Baker with vegetarian food available. I had booked the room for just one night for a concert. The location is ideal for this. Arena just a short walk from the LANXESS. The staff was very nice and we felt well arrived. Breakfast in the outbuildings had everything that could have been expected and was quite worthy of the price. The ensuite was very clean, if also somewhat older. Nevertheless, I have two small criticisms: firstly the parking, on the other hand (the old spring —) pillow. I think at least for two you can mend quickly, especially since this is nothing for allergy sufferers.
Conclusion: good price/performance ratio, good location-
I would visit this hotel again all in all.

We had the room 116. The floor was lopsided and that was getting any movement in the stairwell. What us really at the sleep was disturbed. The room itself was very nice, nice atmosphere in the near which fair.
What absolutely not in order was: when we slept in the morning still, the service came to 9 burst in although was only checkout at 11. No. Go!

Good location, basic rooms for fair price. Nice staff. You can get breakfast buffet for 7, 50€

Class price/performance
I was visiting for a few days in Cologne and was looking for it with due to the super infrastructure (REWE, DM, restaurants, train station) and the appropriate price ' ALT Deutz'. Admittedly came in the hotel, but the staff is friendly and everything is clean.
I'd like to go again.

This hotel always gives amazing deals and great comfortable, pleasant stays-overs. After using countless hotels around Koeln over the past 3 years, I've decided to only ever use Hotel Alt Deutz from now on. Thank you for helping me with my situation last time. After the Horror of booking for Hotel Templehof, your comfortable new room and great service was a God send. See you again in November/December.

Nice beds for good sleeping, great room for four people, excellent distance to the city centre and Köln Messe, nice paintings on the wall.

Nice place! Perfect if you're in Cologne for events at Lanxess Arena. Close to the the old city, yuou can walk through the bridge and be at the Dome really fast. The train station is also very close. Very nice people, you'll be completely independent and the rooms are big enough and very quiet.

My friend and I had a really enjoyable stay here. The staffs are super friendly and helpful. The location is good (short walking distance from the station). Also the room is comfortable and well equipped! Will definitely visit it again!

Hotel is very close to the station of the Cologne Messe trade fair and a 15-minute walk from the Cathedral. Bed cómodísima and a breakfast buffet very complete. We took our dog and had no problem. Hotel 100 % recommended by its quality-price relation.
