Nice location in a nature protection area, a pool and a separate kids entertainment centre available nearby. Good restaurant but they were only serving buffet at the time we were there (still, recommended! ). Unfortunately, the room where we stayed had no air conditioning so the heat was difficult to escape.

Very nice facility with horses a Suckyland (With trampoline Pakur slides and more) for children a small swimming pool and sauna there is a lake with beach and beach chairs where you can also go with small children. Staff friendly.

This time we were there for a day trip. Had to be again. Look at the beautiful scenery, right from the terrace or on a walk. Before we went back home, unfortunately, you strengthen yourself at the evening buffet. We have been visiting HERRENSTEIN for more than 15 years — at least once, mostly several times a year.

Rooms very clean food tasty and ample location look quiet and secluded Unfortunately while eating limited tables and all reserved.

Beautiful quiet location with many possibilities, unfortunately only usable until 20.30! Friendly staff and cozy rooms! Unfortunately, in my time the sauna was not available!

In the years, No 4 stars. The entire facility is in no good condition… a pity! Unfortunately, the sauna and the fitness room are also not available. The outdoor facilities require urgent care and are in need of renovation after about 22 years. The breakfast and the wellness application are very good;-)

We had booked a weekend in the castle. We arrived on Friday night and had about 500 km of arrival.
In the evening we were told that the kitchen had prepared something for us. They were salted fries and a schnitzel which was apparently made in the deep fryer. Also the evening buffet the next evening was not good. It was all cold and away from a 4 star hotel. The breakfast buffet was OK but also not a 4 star hotel worthy. The service staff were really nice.
In addition, we did not live in the castle, as booked, but in an annexe which was not mentioned at any time that there are adjacent buildings to inhabit. Also, the rooms were too small and were not what was offered. To the "wellness" area of only a small pool, you could only reach if you had to go outside through the cold. The sauna was not usable at all.
For people who are not well on foot, it is almost impossible to reach the rooms.
Overall it was a Reifall and for people who want to make wellness not recommended at all.
I think it is a pity that the castle is the only thing that is referred to the advertising and one does not get what is promised.

I had hoped for a romantic weekend break in the castle of Lord Stone.
In a double room (located in one of the timber-framed houses), I was quite disappointed by the size of the room. So there was the talk on the internet of a generous room layout… And also on the pictures on the website The rooms were much bigger. The pictures show a room on the upper floor, which is clearly larger than the lower rooms.
In addition there was a connecting door to a next room (which was also pointed out) which was unlocked. For me personally a no-go.
Also a cosy TV evening for two, turned out to be a bit difficult, as the view from the bed to the tube TV about 4 meters away, with a diagonal of estimated 40-50 Centimeter, was hampered by a wide beam, which stood in the middle of the room. On the website it was pointed to such bars, however, you probably do not make guests happy, if this is blocked the view to a already too small and very outdated TV. The device receives a total of 10 channels, which in my opinion is too little choice, but is sufficient for a weekend stay.
There was also talk of free WLAN use on the Internet. Finally it turned out that this connection is only received in the castle itself, but not in the adjacent timber-truss houses. In addition there was a very poor mobile phone reception (or Internet access in the context of the mobile data), so that you could not even surf properly, nor stream.

Great location. Restaurant good. Recommended.

Very nice staff. A very quiet place in winter. Pure relaxation.
Despite renovation work on the sauna, we had to pay the full price. Our room on the first floor was slightly in need of renovation but clean. The bathroom is similar. Breakfast and dinner was OK.

Energy and refueling — you can rewrite the town of Stein. The reconstructed castle of Stein invites you — restaurant, bar, reception, some rooms. In the three timbered houses there are other rooms as well as a swimming pool. Quiet location without traffic noise — Fox and Hare say good night.

Light and Shade, on the one hand the Castle and the Outbuildings are absolutely picturesque, but the Quality is still at some corners. The Restaurant is delicious and quaint. I have not taken advantage of The Wellness Offer and therefore can't say anything about it. The Location is very quiet and invites you to Hike and relax.

No internet in the room. Otherwise very rustic.

Beautiful facilities in the countryside. My room was very nice, modern, and large. Shower was small. Pool and spa looked nice although I did not get a chance to enjoy them.

Sehr freundliches Personal, saubere Anlage, sehr gutes Restaurant. Idyllische Lage in absoluter Ruhe. Entspannung pur.

Would use this Hotel only two stars cause, I would be absolutely thrilled. The large plant in the middle of the country invites you to stay for Kinderbeschäftigung is taken care of. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, the beds are comfortable and the rooms spacious. The food is good, especially the Breakfast buffet is very rich. BUT: the rooms need urgently times a renovation! From the mirror, dowel and socket from the wall, abgesplittertes wood of the door frame. Mold in the shower. Wi-Fi only in the Lobby? And it is still quite lame. Old tube TV, whose disguise already half exhausted. Much too few sockets in the rooms (I either charge my phone or I have a light by the bedside lamp, as a ceiling light, there is not). Should not disturb, it is a stay value.

The paint is from … staff and the Restaurant were very good, but the facilities and the rooms are not well maintained. It detects all the lack of care and devotion.
