Very nice people, everything was great I can only recommend.

I stayed at one of these in Bremen. I can always get a great price on a private room including breakfast. Best deals so far in Germany.

The attitude from the hostel to the public was horrible! The receptionist was very cross! I felt so humiliated and I tried to speak to them in a calm way and they continued the same. I won’t return to this hostel! Im sure you will find another better hostel in Berlin!

Super, nice Hostel. Very clean. For families very suitable. Friendly and helpful staff. Before the door a bus stop and about 7 minutes walk from the main train station. Always gladly again.

Breakfast price performance is right. Rooms better furnished than many 4 star hotels. Martraze very hard was afraid since I have back in pain not being able to sleep but I would be positively surprised. Atmosphere loosely great is the billiarttable and the bar to let the day knit out.
hygiene: 1 day the 2 double rooms we have booked was not cleaned. I complained. The cleaning lady then complained to my husband that we should not behave like this. This should be improved. I complained about this. Bath should also be cleaned sometimes the tiles. But clearly it is a hostel. All in all I recommend the hotel. Clearly it is sometimes a little louder. Room doors bang very close but I can not confirm the experiences of the previous speakers even though we had the rooms to the backyard … we will gladly come back.

It was our second time at A&O Berlin Hauptbahnhof for us but it will be the last. They renewed the rooms but the mattresses are so uncomfortable we could barely sleep, since they seem polystyrene and there's not a closet or a drawer where you can put your belongings. Our room was on the 1st floor, the window on a parking lot where buses collected and left students in the early morning. Moreover there were many kids who made terrible noise early in the morning and late at night, even knocking on other guests doors.
The cleaning is nonexistent, they just empty the trash bins.
Final note: on the day we had to check out an employee came into our room (she knocked while opening the door with her key) at 9.10 when the check-out is at 10, we were ready to go out but it was so rude it left me speechless!
It's totally not worth the 90€ paid for every night spent here, no breakfast included.

Our room was so incredibly small. The door was completely broken. It looked like it was closed and locked but much to our surprise, anyone coule walk in. As a result, my friend had all of my her money and GroPro stolen while we were sleeping. The hostel blamed us for "leaving the door open", even after we proved to them that it was broken. They were not helpful, rude, and did not offer an compensation. Slow service and then got moved to another room, then the charging ports on the bed didn't work. Will never ever stay here again and would 100% not recommend anyone else to stay either.

We chose this hotel because of it good location — near the central railway station from which you easily can go in any direction.
But I wouldn't recommend staying in this hotel, because from the very beginning the staff was trying to cheat us.
After paying the entire cost for booking through Agoda and having the receipt with "all tax paid" info, staff from reception was asking us to pay it one more time. They explain it like the mistake of the website, but come on — it is not our problem!
Also, in this hotel privacy equal nothing. Firstly you will be disturbed by housekeeping who doesn't know what the sign "don't disturb" means. Then your room will be booked by another guest because reception doesn't make a reservation of your room in their booking system (which is also not our problem).
After having a conversation with a nice manager who promised a one-night stay refunding compensation, we checked out, but still, don't have our money back.
Each of my e-mails are not answered.
So I hope maybe after reading my review I will have clarifying of this situation from management of the hotel.

Average hotel, service, is good in a good area. Can be better such as having your beds made and smaller rooms that you don’t have to share with other people. Also the TVS are quite old and having a wider range of food at breakfast.

If you are lucky you can catch a room for very good price (2 months beforehand booking from the hotel webpages). Overall place is very I mean VERY dirty. And there was construction works starting from 8.30

Pleasant hotel for young tourists, casual atmosphere. Shared rooms however only suit a certain kind of traveller who can put up with other (usually not very welcoming) guests. Also do expect you can be robbed so do not EVER leave your belongings unattended. The area is very nice, close to a bus line and a short walk away from Berlin Hauptbahnof station. I recommend single room options.

We reserve a room for two. Get a sleeping dorm for 6. Pay extra for linen. On top of which you have so poor temperature regulation its 38 degrees in the room and it is so humid after 4 hours ones clothes is getting drenched. And in the brilliancy of the place you cant fully open the windows. This is the worst place I have ever been to and I definently do not reccommend it to ANYONE.

From what you expect from a hostel, this one’s pretty average. We were a group of 5 staying in a 8 people room. People were nice and everything, but with the heat wave Europe’s been having it was awful. I’ve never been so hot before, and the windows would only open a tiny bit. The shower was minimal, but working. The toilet was nice. The hostel had a lobby where they served drinks and microwave pizza, and basically there were a really good side and a horrible. The good side was that the bar was open 24/7, and the bad side was that the bartenders didn’t know rum from vodka.

Huge hostel, people from all over the world. For some reason they asked for three. 5 euros for bedding.

Great hostel, very clean and organized. Super easy to find from the train station. Rooms are spacious, staff was friendly, and prices are amazing! As a bonus, we had booked in an 8 bed dorm, but were the only two guests in it for the whole night!

The best holiday of my life!
It started with the fact that each room has a huge Samsung HD flat screen TV. When I opened the curtains, my breath stopped, I have never seen such a breathtaking view of the sea. The rooms have reached a new level of cleanliness. The food made me a huge taste explosion. I think I will go to Berlin every month in the future just to visit this magnificent hotel.

The style of the institution "typically European" is done neatly, modestly without excesses. A lot of young people, good lunches and breakfasts-a buffet.
The rooms are very small. But very pleased that next to the station. And in general the center is nearby. Nice place, I advise.

The cleanliness of the rooms is basically non-existent. The overall place is pretty dirty and the attention is disastrous. The only highlight of the site is that it is very well located. The rest is just terrible.

The hotel/hostel is very close to the main train station (approx. 5-10 minutes walk), otherwise it is easy to reach by bus.
The hotel rooms were very clean and functional, the breakfast OK. Only the cleanliness of the tables left much to be desired. If, as a guest, I have to clean my dishes myself, I expect the tables to be wiped in between. That was pretty disgusting. The staff, however, had enough time to entertain themselves extensively.

Simple, suitable for groups of Students, well connected.

On arrival the check-in proved to be quite difficult. The rooms were only partially clean, hair lay on the floor in the bathroom. Our fellow travellers were given a spare room for one night until the room was cleaned the next day. After all, they didn't stick to the ground anymore. Since we were there with several people, we were able to take advantage of the food in the evening. In spite of previous planning, each of the other tour groups actually went to dinner when they wanted. As a result, the dining room was completely crowded. The choice was so-so, if you have eaten often at A&O, then you know the offered dishes and their "quality" already. In the morning the breakfast was perfectly fine, albeit not varied. Again, it was best to appear very early (7:00 am) to get some room. All in all, you should keep in mind what you paid for and that was really not much, but I expect a certain cleanliness. Personally, I am delighted that this House will soon be transformed into a new A&O concept.

We were there for the first time and were satisfied with the price — performance ratio. To our astonishment there are young and old represented.
Our room with bathroom was clean and fully adequate for our purposes. The hotel is conveniently located, Central Station and centre not far away. You can rent bicycles 12 €/per a day. And enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.
We would come back.

It was a disaster, the staff were rude and totally overwhelmed. Although a bomb was defused on the day until 2 pm but it cannot be done before 6 pm no room is ready and guests 3! Hours in the warm hall without any drinks waiting. The rooms were not cleaned only the beds were newly upholstered. Absolutely not recommended.

I spent a week at this youth hostel. Towels were changed every day. The hotel is quite large and there are many groups of children/teenagers = a lot of noises however the hotel has a security that often makes the tour on every floor. There is a pretty nice rooftop bar. The breakfast is complete and hearty unlike the meal which is not at all good. The staff are very friendly.

The place is nice, beds are comfortable and Staffs are friendly. They can speak English also. Best thing — located near the Hauptbahnhof.

A good place to spend the night. Its not far from Hbf, Berlin. They have clean toilet, and soap in the bathroom of the dormitory. They charge extra for bedsheet and the quilt. Drinking water costs extra. Food and cocktails are not so good.

I can only talk about room 223. There is a loud noise from the bathroom all the time, as if a washing machine is constantly running. The floor is not really clean and there are funny stains at the door! My booking was not available! Cot I had to address twice. Otherwise top location, all give themselves trouble and is fine.
Breakfast was OK. There was something about everything, but you could give more fruit and vegetables.
The mattresses could be exchanged. But if you're just going to sleep, it's okay!

The value for money is fine. You pay relatively little for a room and of course you don't get a luxury suite. But also a cheap room should meet a few basic criteria. The room was not properly clean, the drain in the shower was not free and the bathroom reigned in some corners of the mold. The beds are not suitable for heavy adults and very heavy children (90 kg +) because the springs push through.
But what annoyed the most was the street noise. Those who like to sleep with an open window should take their hearing protection with them. The taught road is a thoroughfare and is run around the clock.

We were very satisfied by our stay in A&O Berlin Hauptbahnhof. Good location: near the central railway station and city transport services, quiet area. All-you-can-eat breakfast. Very friendly staff. Excellent price-quality ratio.

A A&O hostel that is really good for the price. We stayed in a 8 room, this one had a shower and a toilet that was separate — is for a room with so many people really a great thing. Cleanliness perfectly OK, no dirt, mildew or anything like that. For a few days to sleep and short stay definitely recommended!

We were very pleased with the A&O. With children just for us the right thing. Breakfast was good and adequate. Staff at reception and bar friendly. To the main station on foot a few minutes.

First time in this hotel for two nights for about €69.
I have to say, for sleeping it's enough if you could!
The whole hotel is like a youth hostel! Shouting roaring tramp!

Clean room with comfortable bed and good heating. The room didnt have the greatest view, could have been cheaper and a fridge would be a good idea.

A good place to stay. Good communication, perfect service but the rooms were a little bit dirty under the beds.

So honestly the security Service exaggerates. You're being admonished for every little thing. Furthermore the rooms are too small and the price is not worth it.

Cruel beds, cruel staff, cruel breakfast, but good location! We were asked to close the room windows as there was hesitation in the hallway, and not exactly very polite. We also had to air the room due to some odors.

Clean and Central. Breakfast was great. Sufficient for a short city trip. Unfortunately too noisy at night, thanks to the groups of teenagers who run up and down the aisles and shout loudly. You hear every door popping.

Unfortunately not quite fresh anymore. Lack of cleanliness, service and Wi-Fi. In combination, the smell in the aisles gives the rest. No, there's more if you wanted to. It was a unique visit.

On arrival was a longer queue at check-in. Unfortunately, the staff clearly give themselves no trouble to hurry. Talk to each other, go to the Rauchenpause, talk with each other for minutes, disappear without a word in the back room. The guests who wait for over 90 minutes to ask for some haste are harassed and offended. Unbelievable the rooms are off in order, the TV is a bit small. The impression is tarnished in the bathroom. Partly defective furnishings and molds are waiting there. The rooms are very clean. Conversations, showers etc. From the neighbouring rooms and hallways are clearly perceivable, to sleep is hardly to think. What a pity.

Was more like satisfied. Everything clean in the room. The double room more than adequate. Breakfast is plentiful and adequate. With egg coffee fruit muesli cheese sausage jam… so you'll be more than satisfied. In the evening a nightcap or several were drunk at the bar.

Hostel/Hotel Berlin Central Station is totally convenient for ordinary Travellers. That, with us 2 Bed Rooms, was clean the Showers somewhat calcified, but no Hair in the Drain! The Guest Kitchen is not clean but also not dirty, a small Refrigerator and a Hotplate were available, but unfortunately no Oven! The People at the Reception nice but a bit slow (I can't be too quick). The Roof terrace is great and the Cocktails delicious! The Location is super Central but something noisy the Road is constantly driven by police Officers with Blue light. But the hotel can't do anything a pity for that. In itself, a great Place to stay and would come back.

Excellent service and hostel to stay, I put 4 stars because the only one but I put is that the beds does not have numbering and then there are problems for that, but from there in more excellent.

The rooms are not soundproof and the noises were very annoying, the hotel is modern and comfortable, the front desk staff should be more friendly.

Was even satisfied with the value for money nivht. On the positive side, the location was close to Berlin Central Station. At breakfast, I felt like I was in a previous school canteen. The room was clean and had little comfort. There were a lot of school class at my travel date, so you felt like you were in Landheim. If you like it lively, this hotel is the right one for you.

Greta room for the Price. Staff is very nice and polite. The location is good, around 15 mins aways from the train station. Also, they have a locker room in case you want to leave your luggage after checking out. I would stay there again.

First of all we were 8 per room and only had 2 towels throughout the room and if you wanted more had to pay and we were not informed about this, secondly, we were a very large group of people and did very little food and many were left without dinner anything else qu E For example Broccoli, after having walked about 20km in Berlin. The machines watered anything qud ask like coffee or chocolate and to eat there was very little variety. Two of my roommates in different rooms each found blood stains, one in the towel and another on the sheets. Finally the beds are the most comfortable.

I was in A & O at Berlin Central Station in a women's multi-bed and booked breakfast.
The location is great. The room was clean, but in my opinion too small for 8 people. In addition, there were only 4 chairs and 6 lockers.
Breakfast choice is wide. Unfortunately, there are too small plates and no trays to put your coffee and plate on. In my opinion, table waste is also missing.
Basically, though, I felt quite comfortable. The price was absolutely fine.

We are an older couple and feared it would be too loud. But that was not the case. It was quiet, clean and had a pleasant young atmosphere. It's easy, but it doesn't need more for us. We'll be back.

It is a good hostel in Berlin and at a low price considering that the currency is euros.

We were in the A&O as a couple. The staff was friendly and you could park your car safely. It was very centrally located. The breakfast was delicious, however there was little seating and the cleanliness of the tables was flawed. Many did not put their dishes away and they had to sit on a dirty table. The size of the room was sufficient for us, but the beds have very creaked. We would have liked a quieter room because we had to sleep on the street side and the lighting of the hotel font was very bright at night despite the curtain. The worst was the behaving of some teenagers (from school trips) who took little consideration for other guests in terms of volume and doors popping. : (The prices and the taste of the drinks at the bar were good, but it would have been nice if you could smoke on the roof terrace even after 10pm, as the bar is also open longer. Overall, our stay was pleasant, except for the aforementioned criticisms.

Just really low profile, probably ok if you can get a room for really cheap, which wasn't my case. The door key didn't work, had to be changed twice, in the end they had to get me in with one of the security passe-par-tout. The guy at the reception was nice, though, he didn't let me pay for a bottle of water, to make up to me.

Great for the budget conscious traveler. 3 turns and 2 blocks from the HBF train station (left out of the station, past the taxi stand then right at the light. Bear left you'll see signage from there). Can be loud when a lot of students are there, but pretty quite if you keep the room window closed. Breakfast buffet is 7 euros and worth it. Bring a water bottle to the buffet and fill it there. It will save you a few euros on bottled water when you are out and about during the day. Note hotels often have a daily tax due when you arrive. For me it was less than 20 euros for a 6 nights.

The hotel is away from downtown, but close to the central station and in a quiet area. Rooms are clean and have enough space, with TV, hairdryer and strong-box. Nice hotel for a cheap price.

A quiet but central location in Berlin. Within easy reach of an excellent public transport service including: trains, trams and buses. And only a short walk from the River Spree, Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate. Very popular with young travellers and families but suitable for anyone looking for clean, efficient, great-value accommodation in the fascinating city of Berlin!

I took the 8 bed dorm. They give 1 towel and a set of bed linen. The beds seems stable and I had no issue with sleeping — don't forget to bring ear plugs. The dorm room have lockers but you need to bring your own lock. The toilet is small with one normal sink. The seperate shower cabin is also small but big enough. Toilet and shower looked clean.

To visit Berlin stay in this hostel is the maximum as close to the means of transport, cheap, clean, helpful staff, only the bed was not the maximum of comfort.

Not far from the train station. The diet is near the center of the city.
The room was clean. Alkashka the bar at restaurant prices, and the food is student. I'm fine, but we asked for a family number. We were given two with a front door. It's cool!

Of all was only said that this review from the perspective of a student is written, often spent in bad getting off his school trips. The A & O Hostel Berlin we reached station through a tour operator. Against 8 rooms I have basically nothing, so no problem. A problem is in particular that the room the hygiene of the hostels. The lobby, if you can call this space, is more than kitschy décor and not exactly clean. The staff apparently even sorry and plays waiting guest prefer using the cell phone as the already 10 minutes (me) to use. Rooms are very dusty, the bath not free of hair, for 8 people, a role provided toilet paper and even the bunk beds do not have a very strong impression. The sad climax was the shake on my pillow with a spider from same evaporated.
All in all this hotel is not recommended, can be found close to the Hbf much better hostels or hotels at a better price.

Am on Wednesday / Thursday night with a 56 people traveled. Would the goal through our travel agency also that we arrive at night.
Was the first set that came: where are they now? We are waiting for you already all night!

This House has a rear parking with barrier but not opened for me, because I went to after 10: 00 and thus had to get off and take their bags on the side of the current transport receive 56 students in the street, which is also at night much.

The rooms were well laid out and spacious. Brilliant for staying in overnight as the staff are all very helpful and kind.

Low budget hotel is probably the best. No matter how you pay much or little, you may never to have expectations.
We booked the hotel because of the good location in Berlin Centre and the reasonable price for a weekend trip.
The hotel was on the site, as well as later in the confirmation emails as "suitable for families" with optional free cot, high chair, baby monitor…
We had extra previously called to book the optional extras, staff at the (Central) service phone this but referenced locally to asking for.
On-site staff looked then irritated and didn't know offenischtlich of such optional family advantages. At least we were able to order a baby cot (… we thought).
The room itself was tiny. A small bathroom with shower, sink and toilet in the front area. In the rear of a 2 x 1, 6 m double bed. To go trappings perhaps 40 to 50 cm space around. A window facing South with blazing sunlight and bright curtains which keep off no light. You can also not fully open the window, but only to tipping. What is a ventilation of the room precisely because even a ventilation system in the bathroom was missing almost impossible (or at least not worked). The mattresses had your best years already behind him, and in several places one realized are the spring meet, is convenient otherwise.
Later came the baby bed.

Scheiß hotel! in mein hotel zimmer kam ein SEK einsatz! und zwei tage später ruft das hotel die polizei wider an und sagt wir sind eingebrochen? ein tag zuvor ging keine karte mehr an der tür von meinen kollegen der hausmeister und alle kamen und sagten ihr könnt durchs fenster weil wenn wir raus gehn nicht mehr rein kommen und der technicker ds wirder reparieren muss, als mein kollege durchs fenster rein ging nach dem frühstück kamen zwei streifen wagen wegen einbruch weil das hotel sagte das wir eingebrochen sind in diesen hotel fehlt es an der komunikation mit der spät und früh schicht dann wurden wir noch als kriminelle da gestellt vom hotel! aber danke an die polizei die hinter uns stand und uns in schutz nahm! ich gebe keinen stern für das hotel ich bewerte das hotel mit — punkten und werde niewider mehr in so ein hotel kommen!

The rooms were ok and everything (shower/bed) is enough for the bare necessities. Relatively Central very well suited for a cheap overnight stay. Several nights I wanted to want to stay but (comfort). For one night after the concert, it was perfect!

We had a pleasant stay. It was nice and clean. A bit noisy as it can be in a hostel — lots of young people. Breakfast is fine but crowded.

I would like to hereby inform that the hotel is the purest disaster. When I was with my class on a school trip we stayed at the A & O from Monday to Friday. The room was totally shabby! A huge crack split the wall, was a large brown spot on another wall, everything was dirty and dirty especially the window. The mattresses were almost as hard as stone and completely unsuitable for sleeping. Announced "night control" to avoid problems, noise etc. Has like nothing, especially the noisy neighbors were so bad, that was not to think about sleep. At least breakfast was adequate.

A bit walk from Berlin central station. The room was pretty clean. The room was fairly spacious. Wifi was spotty. I had to work in the lobby to get a better reception. Breakfast was nice but crowded. But the attitude of the staffs were very ignorant and needed some urgent quality training. There was a vomiting that was left at the elevator doorway for a long time without being cleaned up! Pretty disgusting!

The beds were very comfortable; the sheets and the covers were warm. The staff were very friendly and approachable, and despite the fire alarm going off they stayed calm and kept everyone relaxed and calm. The only issue I have had is the showers; there's very little 'wiggle room' when changing the temperature as a slight nudge to one side either made the water come out like the fire rivers of Mordor or the icy mountains of Pluto. Overall a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend it to someone else.

Then we were transferred in a hostel of the chain in Kreuzberg, which was not comparable to the situation. At least, the taxi was paid us drive there…
Our second reservation at this hostel was broken in our room while we were asleep and cash stolen. This little interfered with the staff and they were unimpressed by the incident until we called the police. They recorded the whole thing and confirmed that us often occur in this accommodation burglaries / thefts in the rooms. We wanted because of this, that we no longer sure felt a room other rooms. The employee refused from this, until intervention of the police has been assigned to us a different room.
The entire experience and behaviour of the staff is completely incompetent and rude. And the slump seems to be bumping up against lack of interest for employees already trivial routine problem.
I can only advise against!

So for a 2* Hotel and the price-performance ratio is perfectly fine! Great access to the Hbf. Free W-LAN was perfectly adequate! The only thing that bothered me that you had to wait at Check-In about 30 minutes (and this was not explained to me, why you have to wait). The rooms were clean and with the most necessary equipped! I would come back at any time.

Faster uncomplicated Check-In. We had a double room and it was very clean. However, despite the existing site was no noise nuisance from building sites to hear. The staff was polite and courteous. The negative reviews of the other guests we can not understand. Super price / performance ratio, good location, we were very satisfied! Everyone should form their own opinion.

Everything was clean (really penibelst clean). I don't understand the reviews of people here unfortunately somehow.
The beds were clean, wlan gift a TV with us in the rooms, fresh towels, hairdryer, shampoo, etc.
Unbeatable for the price. 21 euros per person.

I can only advise against this "hotel", which rather resembles a hostel of the lower quality class. Repeated breaches of the peace times not to mention, was from my closed off (! ) Rooms steal my laptop. My belongings were scattered on the floor, as someone would have checked on valuables.
Curiously were neither on door window (only tilt, as a result of "theft protection") traces of break-in. I would like to mention here that only with key cards to open rooms.
Despite the message of the incident at the hotel and police, was not complied with my requests on the part of the hotel.
Will avoid this chain in future and advise anyone who wants to avoid his personal belongings as well as miner through room to spend the night here.

One of the best hostels on our trip, and the cheapest. We were a group of 4 and got an 8 bed room to ourselves. Breakfast was a great deal too, and delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended.

A friend and I had booked a one bed room (with strangers) for 7 nights.
Check-in was easy and fast. We were now not just expecting the night luxury for €13, so everything was okay at first glance in the room actually. But the ground would have can be cleaned really more often and more thoroughly. The shower was for my being in order. The toilet itself also, however, remained in the air always a nasty urine smell (rather not so nice).
The huge construction site right behind the hostel is not too cool, but well that is Berlin just ne.
Was of course very good close to the central station, which can be reached in 5-7 min. Easy.
But now the largest for me personally, negative point: the security.
Noticed something and right on the first day, it was the door of the room (by alone) engages not correctly, i. E. You have ever yet want to pull it before you go in. That has not occurred apparently some people who shared the room with us, so that we often again had to move to the door, when they are gone.
Means well; in principle any fool in our room could, if one of our "Mitinsassinnen" had made the door not properly too.
Therefore, I think that for this reason, my SLR (+ lenses) has been stolen from the room. We had of course right at the reception desk reported, there were told only "blabla police call blah happened before blablabla police call".

Good Morning/Day/Evening, Since I finally am at home and Wi-Fi have what's in the Hotel, Yes, a feature should be, unfortunately I could do nothing by Wi Fi from my room. But this is not the only negative. I can understand that it is about 23 hours of bed rest is, but why shout out the Security if you want to sleep people? Is even not better. We come to the third point, the bed linens go as not, luckily I have one at home, and brought, without this, could I Sleep without a blanket it offers! But one Positive has the Hotel, in the morning you can comfortably its to eat cereal, one at Breakfast gets. We forget the "comfortable", you can only eat. With kind Regards, A Former Client.

So, was positive that one pretty quickly was at the train station. This is also the only other people were Loud and the Secruity was apparently nothing because this is not of sleep to think about. On a mattress (8 rooms) there were spots in the bathroom of the flow were black spots at the joints. The Breakfast was quite ok. Security men are rude.

Upon arriving in the morning, the staff was unable to find my reservation. After that was sorted out, the staff let us understand I would placed in the same room with my friend, but when we returned later to check in (check in starts from 3pm, I believe) it turned out we weren't after all put in the same room. We were told it is impossible to place us in the same room. We both stayed in rooms of eight people (the others we shared the rooms with were all there for the same event as us), but there would've been two free beds in the room my friend stayed in. Pros: + close to Hauptbahnhof with many signs helping you to find it + free Wi-Fi + good breakfast + nice bar + no one cared if you ate take away in the lobby or in the bar + rooms were clean Cons: — Wi-Fi was unreliable — rooms were very noisy — you must bring your own sheets and towels or pay for them (pillows were strange shape so they were impossible to fit in a normal pillow case) — unfriendly and unhelpful staff: five of us were waiting for the lift to get to the top floor, and cleaner came and took the lift we'd been waiting right in front of our noses. The receptionist were too busy to even acknowledge us (it's ok to be busy, but it'd be nice to know we've been noticed). — out of the "tea" selection only one was real tea, the others were herbal infusions — no secure lockers in the rooms.

Decent hostel with friendly staff. Good location about 5/10 minutes from hauptbahnhof, the neighbour itself is not that good but not bad either. Clean rooms, besides from the sheets which had some strange spots (they were clean and washed though) The breakfast was good, worth the price. Some downsides: -The rooms are very noisy, you can hear the sound of the other rooms and the hallway clearly. -The Wi-Fi is not always available, and often very slow. -The curtains are useless, the sun will shine right through and they are too small. -The pillow was bad, too small (in height) and had some strange spots on it. The pillow sheets were clean though. -Our door, which was suppose to close automaticly, did not close automatically and we had to make sure every single time that we closed the door by force. -The twin rooms were too small, we did not expect a 5-star hotel suite but we barely had any walking space.

No staff in the room. The words cleanliness and hygiene do not exist. Bad conditions of the rooms.

The Best hostel! Clean, cheap. The friendly and helping stuff. I hope that a&o Berlin Hbf hostel will please still long time with the Professionalism of its employees. Exellent breakfast
Замечательный хороший и чиcтенький хостель. Работники всегда помогают и могут подсказать как, что и куда податься туристу. Завтрак отличный и стоит тех 5 евро что за него просят.
