This is not a hotel, but rather a hostel with separate rooms. Amenities on the floor where the kitchen never found out, in the room except the bed, bedside table, chair and a pair of hangers there is nothing. The bed linen was clean, but holey! The window overlooked the courtyard, the construction site. Also at this time there was a repair of the corridor, for which made a discount of 10 degrees, but it would be better warned that they will start drilling early in the morning. The Internet at check-in worked, but the rest of the time did not. From the pros — close to the city center, the Alexandrplatz can be reached in 10 minutes. There is a 24-hour shop nearby. If you stay in this hotel, then a maximum of 2 nights.

A good inexpensive hostel. Beds with normal mattresses and pillows. Clean showers. The Internet is good. In the evening the yard closes. At check-in give the keys to the yard and the room. Good location. Of the cons: no kettle, cleaning, change of clothes and towels for an additional fee.

The room was small, which was fine. The bathroom is separate from the room. Everything was clean and nice. The only downside is that they charge 10.00€ to check in after 6:00pm.

Great place to stay, clean, close to Alexanderplatz and cheapeast Best kebab in city. Staff very nice, not speaking English so well, but we didn't mind it at all.

There wasn't 'rich and tasty breakfast' as was claimed on the frontpage of their website. There wasn't any breakfast at all when we visited. Location is nice, not far from the Alexanderplatz. Walls aren't very thick so you can hear a lot of noise from other rooms and aisle. Hotel was clean enough. Lady in the reception was friendly. Hotel has Wi-Fi.

Definitely a budget hotel… but I feel I got what I paid for. Even as a 6ft 4 man I felt uncomfortable with the (slightly) rowdy men drinking and smoking by the entrance. The building is old and felt a little dingy, but the room was clean and the shared bathrooms have big lockable doors. The building is tall and old. It was a hell of a hike getting to the 4th floor where my room was with no elevator.

Great place to stay on a budget. Women on reception speak German, English, Russian. Room was tiny, but clean. Bedsheets were fresh. Toilet and shower are shared but it’s fair for price. Location is not bad — just 10 min by bus to Alexanderplatz.

Not suitable for a business trip. Unfortunately toilet and shower only in the hallway. Both not clean. Friendly receptionist.

They should renovate the carpets, have a very unpleasant smell of humidity, at the entrance of the hotel there are mice and we were charged 10 extra euros for checking in after we anticipated. The person who attended us was very rude. The positive is the location and the price.

If you are looking for cheap accommodation, then you can be well sheltered here. Breakfast is not famous. The rooms are lala. Showers in the hallway. The reception is not always busy if you are expected to expect it. I was there with a car: a huge catastrophe. On average 800 — 1000 meters to the car. Best to come with public transport.

Scam! Everything is ugly; Rooms Showers TV decoration etc… taxes of 10 euro if you arrive after 18:00, the fighter's journey to retrieve the key!

Really really nice spacious room for the price. Quiet atmosphere great for both short and long trips.

Small 10sqm2 rooms with share bathroom. The rooms are quite noisy if there something happening on the hall. The bathrooms were clean, the Wi-Fi works good, you need to leave 20€ for the keys (you get it back) and for a couple of nights is fine if you don't look for something fancy. Even though it is not allowed to smoke I think the person before me smoked a lot as the room smelled a lot to it.

Without doubt the worst place I have ever stayed, Resembles a 1970s prison, No atmosphere and absolutely no comfort. Place is fillthy and unloved. One shower and two bathrooms shared between 10 rooms. Staff walk right in your room without knocking. Rececptionist is a real gem, tried to charge me 10 euro for checking out 30 minutes late. I paid 250 euro for a three night stay here and I really regret my choice. The only reason I gave one star is because that the lowest I can rate, one star is way too much for this hovel. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.

TL, DR: Fairly good value for money if travelling on a budget. Would choose again if the mattreses were changed. PROS: quiet hotel, tidy room, bins changed daily, clean bathrooms, friendly English speaking staff, short walk from the city centre, safe neighborhood, shops and good restaurants nearby, good transport links (trams). CONS: THE most uncomforable & completely not heat regulating mattresses (and I'm not a bed snob — never thought that would be an issue for me), twin beds only (as far as I know), deposit for everything (keys, hairdryer etc), old building with 5 floors steep stairs & no elevator, front entrance jamming often, demolition of the building next door made it a little bit loud during the day (but we explored the whole day so not a problem for us), no safe place to leave the luggage despite what's advertised.

Very very basic. Staff had poor or no English. Two single beds not a double. No kettle. No kitchen. No social room. So be prepared to eat out. On the plus side rooms and linen were clean. Right by a taxi rank. Lots of cafes around. Except Sundays most of Berlin is closed. 23 minutes walk from Alexandra Platz which is easy to find anywhere in Berlin because the TV Tower is there and is visible for miles. So you won't get lost!

Great rooms, price is reasonable.

The tenant is not nice nor helpful. We've booked a room for 2 and got 2 separated beds because "you did not specify you were a couple! "… And no way to change We had to pay extra 10 euro for late arrival … Late meaning after 6pm! This was never mentioned during the reservation process (but it is somewhere written on their website so) There is no toilets nor shower in the room which is not very clear in the description and the common toilets are not very clean. In brief Berlin is a very nice city with nice people, you should just avoid this place to sleep.

Excessively Spartan, good for the location area but lacking for everything else.

Bathrooms are separated from rooms. Good price for what you get. They lock at night.

Good value for the money. Good location in the city in prentzlauerberg (although the immediate neighborhood is pretty quiet).

First impressions I almost didn't go in (There were a couple of dodgy guys loitering at the door) however I found the room was safe and warm, the reception was minimal but accommodating. The Unisex shared bathroom wasn't an issue either just a bit of a surprise when you're not used to it. Easy access to trams into Berlin itself. Overall it was good but don't expect too much.

Unfortunately no lift and very pragmatically oriented, but bright and quiet, situated also very close to the Volkspark.

A really bad, not friendly, cheap-ish hotel. I clearly stated I would arrive at midnight in the booking platform only to discover later that they don't accept check-ins after 8pm, and they want 10€ for the late check-in (not written anywhere AND before 11pm). It was a dirty AND cold experience. The staff is not welcoming at all. Would not recommend at all.

Good enough for the price, friendly staff, try to check in early.

Located In the Berlin City centre. Reasonable price. No luxury but fair and square…

Very bad "hotel". Door is closed and we were forced to ring the bell of one of the neighbors which told us that they won't open the door again as they are disturbed almost every night. So if you plan to come back late at night you won't be able to enter your paid room.

This hotel by calling somehow is a shit. The receptionist is a gentleman out of psychosis. Do not speak any language is ma think speech or his own. The decoration is psychedelic. Rooms are not a shelter. Walls fall to horns and there are cucurachas. To all this must be added that although it is close to the Center is to take in the ass of the station. No lift but almost better that always you can pull from the top floor if this desperate. You paid attention to by sneeze €20. If you are mar evenings from 18:00 h is best you bring an SAC sleeping by the Lord of the reception not the finds or Lobaton in who knows where. This was a very well kept, clean and cheap hotel. Very good room size and location. The staff were extremely friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone on a budget who doesn't mind having to share a shower room (separate cubicles). Thoroughly enjoyed my time in Berlin. In reference to the other review about reception desk opening times I got an email from the hotel days before my arrival asking if I required them to open late so I could check in.

Reception is only open in a 8am-6pm shift, so try to arrive early but not too much, is not the friendlyest staff. No elevator. Rooms are OK, clean bathrooms.
