Fantastic friendly staff and Mezcal Negronis to die for. Big ups to Adam, we’ll have to get a photo next time x.

We loved our stay. The design, the rooms, the food. Everything was perfect. We had some problems that were dealt with quickly and professionally.
I strongly recommend.

We loved our stay. The place, the atmosphere, the food. Unfortunately, we came back with a hundred bed bug bites. The bites came out there but we thought they were mosquitoes. The eruptions really came out when we arrived. Which is common. The bite may appear 5-6 days later. I contacted the hotel to report it. No call return. Too bad.

Our 4th time here over the last decade and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Berlin. The place somehow keeps getting better with each stay.
The staff are really helpful and the drinks are great. Rooms are clean and have everything you could need.
It’s also in a perfect part of town for exploring and buying WAY too much interesting shopping.
It’s not a matter of if I’ll come back, just when.

I want to post honestly about the hotel: the room was quite cute and clever, which is what I had hoped for when doing lots of online research about where to stay for 3 nights in Berlin. The location was perfect. Almost everything we did was walkable, no taxis or trains needed. Tons of good food, shopping, and clubs nearby (go to Yaam — a great walk along the water and the art wall). The restaurant in the hotel was also top notch. Fresh breakfast foods that were different than most things we had eaten in Germany. That was great! As others said, the courtyard was a perfect space to relax with a cocktail. So — the "but" part: It was ***exceptionally*** hot. In the room. So hot it was almost impossible to sleep. There were two fans provided which was appreciated. But the loft room we had faced the main street and train stations, so we were torn between having the windows open and not sleeping due to noise, or closing the windows and not sleeping due to heat. I totally get it was a heatwave and this is likely not normal, but a tip for those staying here would be to not have a street facing room if you want to open the windows. For the heat probably nothing could have been done (outside of refitting the hotel with A/C) but it was a factor in the enjoyment.

Nice venue for meetings. They have their own coconut water which is just a little too sweet (despite the fact that they say there's no sugar added) to taste like the fresh real deal. A nice eye for detail when it comes to interior design but could be a bit better maintained.

We were in the bar area. The staff is super nice and friendly. Their cappuccino is amazing and they have also many refreshing drinks. Super hipster place, and it is very chill. I loved it and recommend it!

We stayed for a couple of nights in on of the studio lofts and would highly recommend it. The rooms were cool and the staff super friendly. The bar is open late if your looking for a drink otherwise it is located close to plenty of other bars/restaurants/clubs. The breakfast at the restaurant is also delicious, not super cheap but it is all you can eat. All the food is locally sourced.

We were having lunch in their inner courtyard and we had an excellent afternoon. The food was very rich, the place was very comfortable, the service excellent, a great relaxed atmosphere and had the cleanest public restrooms I have stayed in.

I stay there quite often and I like the cozy rooms much more than the loft rooms. The food is amazing, don't order from the menu, ask whats good and you will not be disappointed. On the downside, sometimes it is hard to regulate the room temperature, and they can be cold or warm.

Located in the courtyard, there is a super restaurant here. The choice is not really great, but the food for it is delicious. Due to the courtyard location, it is pleasantly quiet. For a lunch, I can easily recommend it.

Can only rate the restaurant and that's really good. At lunchtime, everything goes very fast, even if it's very crowded at times. The lunch menu with the different dishes (3 small courses) is a fair offer, although there has never been anything for me. Ambience and operation is also good. So you can go well.

Hard to find restaurant but well worth the search. The dishes were spot on taste-wise and there are very good vegetarian and vegan options. Definitely recommend this place to people looking for a vibrant and hip place to eat.

Good food, nicely arranged with very nice service. Point deduction is available for the room. It is so noisy in a crowded locality that you can hardly talk to the opposite.

A hotel of a different kind — modern, cheeky and cosy. Located near the East Side gallery and therefore super Central. In the evening also with live music. A recommendation for all boys and young at heart! Here you can feel at ease.

Place in the spirit and the arty-archi-industrial ambiance of Berlin with a Deco design and comfort. The hotel as well as the restaurant are worth a visit and guarantee a unique experience in this area full of old renovated and crazy buildings! To do absolutely.

Michelberger is the best. Stayed there for two nights on my birthday (staycation). Had breakfast, dinner, lots of drinks, and the staff was so great. I can only say good things about this place.

The room was very clean and cultish. Employees speak almost better English than German. Great music in the area of the bar and nice décor. Showers in room with window to bed. Very chill here…

To take something hot after seeing the East Side Gallery (the most extensive piece of wall with the famous graffiti) and little else.

A place to chill out and relax for this hotel bar, the place is perfect for drinking tea or a beer with friends on the big couch! The restaurant is Super a bit expensive about 30th but the products are fresh and we share the dishes between friends, the team is very friendly and at the small care I advise you to go before 8:00 pm the weekend the place and very appreciate local!

A lot of charm in this factory redone in hotel. A nice indoor courtyard for lunch outside, a lovely staff and a decoration that has a soul.

Good location and very friendly staff. Small room is good for the price and well designed. The lighting over the sink is horrible (don't try to shave! ). And there's an outside construction elevator that has workers staring in your window and shower. No warning for this and have to keep the blinds closed, even when paying extra for "city view". Kinda ruined the experience.

Two days in to a 4 day Long Birthday weekend in a Berlin. LOVE this hotel. Chilled vibes. Creative and Eclectic residents and very cool and helpful staff make for such an amazing vibe. The hotel interior is simply amazing — cool — edgy — quirky. Excellent transport links with S + U-Bahn just 2-3 mins walk away. Will defo make this my go to place in Berlin. Highly recommend.

Great hotel right on the navel of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. Everyone who is not too much on mass consumption and commerce is right here. The restaurant is the hammer and the event rooms are super individual.

Room and bed OK. Audience wants to be so alternative that it almost ends up in the alternative. Hold people the 90 minutes on an espresso schluerfen. Only Claudia Roth is missing.
Wi-Fi is not available since 24h. The gentleman from the reception wanted to take care, but solving problems is not cool to the WIHL and alternative enough.

A true gem. Cozy with excellent vibe to it. Staff makes you feel welcome. Huge breakfast buffet selection with many fresh and tasty options.

Was in the café. The rundown look is supposed to be hip but looks rather shabby.

It's a very nice hotel with great atmosphere and friendly staff. The location is also a plus, since many of the main transport lines are close. Though I really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely come back, it is probably not for all kinds of guests.

Quaint little hotel in the center of Kreuzberg Berlin. Little hard to find parking, but once you have it figured out this place will surely become a spot you feel right at home. Comfortable bar area, a nice courtyard for outside seating, a sauna, in house spa, yoga classes, and a house owned moonshine brand. The room I stayed in was cozy and small and had a minimalist touch to it. Firm mattress, two blankets, and a touch of history made the room individual. I can recommend a stay here at any time.

Nice hotel with a hipster bar. Good vibe, nice conference facilities. Negatives? Drinks are a bit expensive (i think it was 5 euro for a beer) but other than that nothing to complain about. Location is good with excellent transport options.

Cool place, with a very cool staff and good music at the bar. I had also the chance for late checkout. Good after a party night. Ask at the desk. And try the strawberry jam, it's simply delicious!

The place with the unexpected wow effect, always for a surprise well & price-performance also agrees… I like it.

Hotel ambience is great and a very pleasant staff.

The doorman started smiling at us when we were still across the street. Everybody was friendly and welcoming, without pushing drinks or food on us, instead we were free to wander around and take the vibe in. I had a winter veg bagel and my partner a tuna baguette, both yummy. They have their own brand of coconut water, possibly the best ice tasted in a while.

I was at the hotel only to have a seminar for two days. The hotel is a bit too hip. I am very happy not to have stayed there when the bar at night becomes a club. If I'm there for the seminar, I want to sleep the next day. For my taste exaggerated hip. A kettle in the seminar room is also super annoying.

The location was great, I stayed in The Gold Room which is an experience I will remember for a long time, it was really quirky and for the experience I would recommend it however, not all of the staff at the hotel were friendly or had good customer service. There was a 50/50 split on this. Some of the bar staff are super ignorant and just leave you standing there — when it is completely quiet, they don't even smile. On the flip side some of the staff were lovely. The Gold room doesn't have AC or the option to operate the heating which wasn't very convenient and there was no kettle, for the price you pay for that room I think this should be incorporated. My other issue with this hotel is that I was charged £20 for a mark on the floor that I did not do, I was never questioned about it they just took the money straight out of my account. When I complained they apologised and refunded the money — but when I asked for a receipt numerous times they didn't provide one. I was not happy about this at all, as the card they had on file was the wrong card and I was almost charged by the bank. The room was great and very quirky but the service fell flat! and I didn't always feel welcome.

Perfect. A star deduction because of the thin walls. Otherwise terrific. Cult congestion.

The sauna in the courtyard is particularly recommended over the winter period — free of charge for guests of the hotel.

We had our Christmas party there. Nice staff, delicious buffet. Was beautiful!

Very nice location. We had a separate area to celebrate our companies Christmas party there. The food was amazing, the staff was super friendly and we had an additional room for a casino night later that evening. Was great!

Taking 2EUR in the restaurant for self-bottled tap water is in some ways an imposition.

5 stars for the bar, which is very nice, 3 for the restaurant which also has good food and a good atmosphere, but too intentionally tries to be hip, which is reflected in mini portions and prices that do not quite reflect the quality.

I have not stayed at the hotel, just used the bar and restaurant. A hip trendy place with a youthful creative feel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The tray menu at lunch time gives you three smaller portions, soup of the day, plus a choice of main and something sweet to finish.

For me, a better youth hostel. The bed crammed in, no chair, no light in the bathroom, too small space. One gets the impression — that the maximum performance should be achieved with the most minimal products. I wouldn't recommend it as a hotel.

Thoroughly loved staying here. The hotel is located perfectly, has a really interesting and welcoming ambiance and the staff are exceptional! The food and drink available are excellent and if staying I would recommend eating at the restaurant. We did and it was out of this world! Would go back in an instance!

Not because the unique design or the funky atmosphere (that is amazing as well) The crew is just unbelievable. Every thing we need, ask, want just happen with a big smile and great willing.

Modern and nice looking room. The lobby has an amazing vibe with live music at night. The breakfast on the restaurant was delicious. The people on the reception was nice all the time.

The restaurant is very nice. Lovely service, great selection of wines and awesome food. Small portions, so select multiple to share it like tapas style. Prices are totally ok for the experience you get for. Try the pork — its just stunning…

Relaxed and cool details. The 'cosy room' is really tiny but well thought. All what you need is there, including a shower with a view. BBQ on Sunday with 3 menu choices is quite alright. Choice of three dishes and a couple of wines — lovely to keep it simple.

Quality didn't meet expectations unfortunately. There was no air conditioner while it was 29 degrees outside. It has more the feel of a chique hostel than a hotel. Overpriced for the room we got. We paid less for another hotel the second night and with much higher standards. However, do come visit the restaurant because the food in the court yard is amazing and a very nice setting with friendly staff and nice music.

Chilled, welcoming, peaceful, fun environment. The staff are brilliant too. Would recommend this to anyone and everyone. The location is absolutely perfect. Next to the Berlin Wall, and major transport links right opposite.

A great hotel in a fascinating area of Berlin. My husband and I stayed here for two nights with our two kids, who are 8 and 11. They loved the Band room where we stayed with its loft — it overlooked an outdoor courtyard, which was lively in the evening but always quieted down by 10pm or so (even on the Saturday night we were there). My husband loved that they played his favorite movie, the Big Lebowski, on an endless loop on tvs throughout the hotel. I loved the friendly staff, the outdoor cafe, and the delicious, organic breakfasts. Altogether a wonderful experience.

I attend the hotel bar for study/work. Excellent location a short walk from the Uban and Sbahn station of Warschauer Strasse, the hotel offers a bar and restaurant service, with a private corner for art exhibitions.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff and great breakfast (but a bit expensive for Berlin prices). We stayed in the Band room, quite spacious but the shower is quite small and no constant water temperature (either scolding hot or cold). The beds are bit small and the cushions filled with air, not very comfortable. Overall it's a great place with some points for improvement.

Amazing rooms, location, staff, food and vibes! Couldn't rate this place any better everything was perfect and so thought through to the finest detail. Can't wait to come back.

Dear Team M'berger I have stayed with you many times on my frequent visits to Berlin. The reason I keep coming back to this beautiful and unique hotel is mainly to do with the fabulous warm welcome from the reception and bar staff. Day and night — they are always helpful and really seem to enjoy sharing such a cool place to work. My favourite part of the hotel is usually the courtyard — either sitting in it and socialising or looking out to see all the chilled and relaxed lovely people from my room. That M'berger breakfast is also a marvellous and not to be rushed experience!

It's a bit expensive, but has a super nice atmosphere. Plus there is free Wi-Fi and tons of books to read.

Love the restaurant, we ordered multiple dishes and loved all of them: starters with mushrooms, main with stag meat, good white wine. The service was very good as well. The bar also seems to have a great atmosphere.

I've stayed at the Michelberger Hotel several times while on business in Berlin. I definitely like the atmosphere, both in the public areas and in the rooms. I appreciate its eclectic style, which sets it apart from the uniformity of the larger chains. The rooms are conducive to working, relaxing after a long external workday, or simply relaxing. This is especially true of the rooms outfitted with the loft beds, which provide separate living and sleeping areas. The beds are very comfortable, and the spacious lofts really allow you to stretch out and relax. They not only ensure good night's sleep, but are also an inviting space to just curl up and read. I'm sure people who are traveling as a couple will find they suit their purposes, too. The lounge is a great place to meet up with friends, enjoy a drink or get a small bite to eat. The cocktails are tasty, and the selection of desserts is usually quite tempting.

I was only at Breakfast here, which was very good : good selection of fruits, yogurts, fresh baked Thank you for the coconut water, thumbs were … high!

Room was clean. Service was friendly. Can get loud at night with location next to main road. Lobby has nice atmosphere and a convenient cafe serving baked goods, coffee and alcohol. Also got a chance to book the private sauna. Very nice touch.

A nice place to stay in Berlin. Really small rooms, but well designed. I had a comfortable stay here. If you have time try their breakfast and/or lunch.

Love this place. We stayed in a cosy room which was compact but had everything we needed. The downstairs area is a hipster paradise — there's always a great atmosphere in the bar, the service is friendly and there's often a DJ spinning tunes. Check out the restaurant if you can — it's divine.

Risotto perevarennoe, until al dente as the Moon, as if to eat glue. Desserts (cheesecake, Brownie) — dry and apparently yesterday at best. Today for lunch instead of a small glass of wine sued a large, and that it resembled a foul the taste of cider, it turned out to be more expensive main course in Braga
Lunch is quite pricey-but this is the only option in the area for hipster fine dining if you are not up to eating streetfood junk.

Very lovingly designed Hotel. Beautiful courtyard, Bar and Lobby. Priced too high based, and there is no air conditioning in the room and no great storage options (closet) for clothes, etc. (had a Cosy for two people). The room was clean and the staff nice. For a short trip super. Location is perfect to reach public transport in a few minutes on foot. All in all a nice accommodation.

Very cool house and Location. The rooms are as expected, clean and nicely decorated. Especially the 337 :) Unfortunately I had too little time to enjoy the atmosphere at the Bar. See you soon.
