Clean hotel. No aircon local area very rundown. Did not feel safe on streets.

Good hotel with clean and medium-sized rooms. Breakfast very plentiful and varies especially with regard to the "salty" part. Convenient location for the proximity of the station that connects with the center, you can not walk to the center although close.

Other than the cleaning lady that gave em the death stare, everyone was very nice and helpful. Facilities were clean, the shower had a bit of trouble draining but overall well worth the price. Close to a lot of things you might want to check out in Berlin be it the wall or some clubs. Could be greatly improved by the addition of AC and maybe a shower curtain.

Very nice stay. No problems. No AC though, so evenings can get hot in the summer.

Excellent hotel, great facilities room and staff. Would recommend for anyone for the proximity to all of the tourist attractions that can be reached from the Ostbahnhof. Could do with air conditioning in the rooms in the summer however, as the rooms get very hot.

Nice Hotel, clean, spacious rooms. Close to everything, near the metro. Right in this building there is a grocery store. The Only drawback is that the password for Wi-Fi need to receive every day on reception. And the speed is not very… The rest Is a four-plus!

We were very happy with the room. DZ with the shower in front of the bed. Ideal for couples! Every day room cleaning and towel change.
Nice staff and 24 hours checkout. What more could you want.
We found breakfast prices very excessive but if you want to spend a lot of money, please.
Location: Two minutes to the Ostbahnhof station, making it easy to get around Berlin. Prefer to leave the car standing.

We had booked by mistake 5 nights, but we only took advantage of 4. When we arrived they had assigned the room to other people, although we had advised, but then they managed to get us another room. Well connected area, hotel clean and comfortable. Breakfast However recommended.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and clean as far as possible. Unfortunately, the equipment is neither well thought out nor contemporary! There are no sockets on the bed and desk! In the bathroom The veneering is unhappily mounted and one is totally dazzled by two neon tubes when looking into the mirror. The door makes all the noise from the hallway into the room — late-coming guests and early risers let the expected rest fade away. Biggest annoyance: The desk (see photo) is not screwed on the shelf and stands on only three legs! Ergo: Accidentally propped up and everything flew to the ground!

Large, well-appointed rooms and choice at breakfast. Very quiet location, clean environment, which with Ostbahnhof offers connection to long distance, but yet within walking distance of central places. I like to come back.

The location of the hotel was perfect for us. Next to public transport and a lot within walking distance. Room was specious. The beds slept well, but where two one person beds that had the tendency to move apart.

Great hotel — lovely rooms and furnishings. Very modern and chic. However, cannot give 5 stars, as very surprisingly, this hotel's location is very poor. It's in the middle of a very deprived and run down area.

My and my husband stayed at this hotel 3/4 times and we always had a perfect stay! (we usually go to Berlin every 6 months) Rooms are clean and quite big and location is perfect if you want to visit east part of Berlin! We planned to come this weekend but we had to cancel our trip at the last moment because a very important family member has a critical health situation and we need to stay here to take care of him 24/7. I wrote them to explain the situation but they didn't do anything. I booked a not refundable rate and I know all the conditions as I work as booking agent in a 4 stars hotel in Venice! I totally understand that they will never refund me and that's correct but I tried to ask to change the reservation for another moment, and of course I would pay a supplement for this! Anyway a part of this (I can understand you don't want to help me in this situation) they wrote me several emails without a word of sorry or bit of humanity… I had to write them to be humans and not robots… I'm disgusted regarding customer service and even if I like this hotel I will never book again with you… This is not the way to treat a customer/person.

Nice room, nice ambiance. Everything clean and quiet. Unfortunately the bar was closed due to illness.

The location is good, 5 min away from the east train station. The price is also very good. The Wi-Fi Signal in room is stable. The room is clean, and the persons are friendly. Two reasons I give 4 stars. First, the old furniture should be replaced by new one, for example, the sofa, and the chair. Second, the heating in room is not good, the room temperature in a winter night is not comfortable!

The rooms are well equipped. The mattresses are unfortunately not suitable for longer stays. The back hurts after 2 nights. You can feel the feathers of the mattress. The breakfast is quite good.

My room was very quiet and spacious. The furnishings were already a bit older. Everything was tip top clean. All in all a class stay.

Great hotel to stay at. Cheap price for a room at short notice. It's clean. Spacious. Even has a kitchen and fridge in it. Friendly staff. The hotel also has a gym and a bar. The rooms have a neat setup. The shower is kind of in the bed room.

Centrally located just 3 minutes from the Ostbahnhof, you can really rest here.
The rooms are great furnished, the central shower for couples a real eye-catcher.
The breakfast is really varied and also very long available.

Very central location, very large rooms. The style was a bit 90s, but priced top.

The location of the hotel was great for us. Staff were warm and welcoming. Free Wi-Fi was available but please remember that the codes only last for 24 hours from the point they are printed. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, all windows open fully if you get too hot. My room contained a bath with overhead shower, sink, wardrobe, secure safe for any documents etc, double bed, TV, Wi-Fi, and suitable. Lighting for all areas of the room. (lots of lamps). Mobile phone signal was not great but with the free Wi-Fi availability this was not really a problem.

Room was big and clean. Their Wi-Fi was really good even in the evening, which is actually not that common in hotels nowadays. Breakfast presents a lot of options and was good. Very nice surprise!

Very modern and nice facilities, though no tea or coffee making set, and a open bathroom in the twin room I stayed in for those that will be sharing. But overall a pleasant stay and close to the city.

Very nice hotel. Rooms all to the courtyard, therefore very quiet at night. From the transport connection perfect for a city trip. Only a 5 minute walk to the Ostbahnhof.

The room was great, included a kitchen and a huge shower/bathroom. Location is a bit out of the way but has good transport links to airports and city centre. Hotel was very clean and modern. Staff however were not the best, when we first walked in we were ignored for several minutes (I appreciate people are busy, but it's nice to be acknowledged). Staff member looked like he had just woken up, shirt untucked and tie slanted with top button undone. The bar was also shut on the first night before 10pm, which was a bit disappointing, but then open the following evening. Overall it was good value and I would recommend for the cost but the staff member stops me giving 5 stars.

The rooms are clean and functional. Location is good. The main downside, if you are a light sleeper, is that any noise from the bar in the courtyard echoes round the walls. There was loud music somewhere until long into the early hours and voices carried.

I stayed for just one night alone, and they give me a luxury suit room with kitchen! I was so lucky to stay here in a reduced price. (Only 58 Euros per night) The tall reception man in silverly hair was a real gentle man with lots of humors.

Decent hotel. Got a good deal on the prices which made the price more achievable. Easy access to Ostbahnhof station and only 5-10 minutes to the centre. On site parking and breakfast. Both were a little on the expensive side. Parking at the station (although probably a little less secure) was only €6 rater than €16. The breakfast was good but not sure it was worth the €17 either. We only had it on one morning and grabbed something from the station for a couple of €'s instead. Prices for the rooms were a little on the expensive side too but with a deal price were OK. Staff were very friendly and helpful too.

Great hotel. Tad on the outside of the central. But we enjoyed the leisurly walk each evening. Gave us enough time to sober up a little before bed too. Fantastic concierge who always had a joke with us when we returned in the late evenings.

Close to the train station, spacious and clean rooms, courteous staff. Shame the bathroom is one with the room, without socialist that separate the two rooms.

Great hotel. I found a promotion that gave me a free night. The hotel is modern and functional and is close to the station of Ostbahnhof. Ultra-plentiful breakfast.

Great hotel located a few steps from the station.

The room was very spacious with a mini kitchenette, a coffee maker and an electric kettle. The décor was very nice, we even had a chaise lounge. The bathroom is full foot in the room (without separation wall) but it fits very well in the room. The only complaint we can make is the pillows too soft and the two small duvets for a double bed (one per person).

I spent two nights during the Droidcon Berlin 2016, as there are the old post station from here quickly to walking. The location is of course perfect. However, the hotel has been his best years behind him, and today I would expect hotel some more four star from a.

Room ok, but somewhat convenient.
It is ridiculous that you have to pay in the room for the Wi-Fi (€1 per HR per unit) only 100 MB free per to.
Conclusion 3rd world standard — each 2 star hotel makes it modern.

All basic needs covered in the room. There even was a kitchen. Nothing too fancy, but it was clean and there was quite a lot if space. Breakfast was good aswell.

Stayed here for 2 nights in the spring 2016, and although I didn't have a truly bad experience, I would be very unlikely to stay again. Firstly the hotels location is quite good, 15 minutes walk to Alexanderplatz, and 15 minutes walk to loads of bars and restaurants. The hotel room was very clean, but that's the only positive. The decor looks to he straight out of the 90's and is accompanied by some truly bazaar design choices. For example, in a room I was sharing with my brother that had 2 double beds the only thing separating the shower from the rest of the room was a partial wall and a window, so zero privacy. Speaking of the shower, for whatever reason there was no consistency in the water temperature and in the course of a 5 minute shower the temperature would span the range of ice cold to scalding hot. Now it being the year 2016 I think it's reasonable to expect that complementary Wi-Fi would be included with our room, but this was not the case, and I resorted to using the Wi-Fi in the hotel lobby. Finally the staff were all over the map. One of the men working reception (Tony) was super nice, and gave us awesome suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Then the next night I was being scorned by a different man at reception for talking too loudly in the lobby late at night, the lobby being nowhere near any of the rooms. Not the worst ever experience, but I'll never stay there again.

I did a short stay but I was stupid of the helpfulness and courtesy of the staff.
I hit the bathroom. From the bed you could see the tubular shower and the washbasin. All open except for the WC separated by a door.
Breakfast was complete but I only got that sweet.
I liked the sweets, the donuts in particular, while the bread was not very tasty.
I left the luggage at the front desk even well over the check out so I managed to finish the tour of the Berlin Splendid.
