Of 4 hotels we stayed at during our European trip, the Intercity Berlin Osthahnhoff was our favorite. The breakfast buffet is the best I've experienced at ANY hotel anywhere. Great selections of the highest quality. I went to bed dreaming about waking up to those flakey butter croissants. Even the jams and muesli were very high quality. Eggs and bacon were cooked to perfection which is rare in Europe. Finally, the breakfast room staff made us feel like VIPs every morning. The rooms are super quiet. No A/C but the open windows and fan worked wonderfully. The central location inside the train station made zipping all over Berlin a breeze. And the hotel includes a transit pass for the length of your stay. Even though we were only asked to show it once in 5 days. Can't wait to return here!

Great breakfast buffet, and a nice lunch buffet as well. Like the transit pass that came with the room. No air conditioning but that's typical of Europe hotels — however they do have a big fan in the closet that helps allot. Stayed there twice in June and if go back will request a room not facing the street as the crowds below were loud about 3 am. What really nice is the all the stores in the train station, and the basement — can find what ever you need in the area.

The location of the hotel is perfect. The direct connection with the S-Bahn, makes travelling in Berlin easier. The rooms are beautifully large and well furnished! Highly recommended.

A very nice hotel with direct access to the Ostbahnhof. Nice reception, room nice and very clean!
There is a single shortcoming: The rooms are not air-conditioned! We were there on days with about 27 degrees, cooling would have been nice. Better look for a different accommodation in high summer.

Well-located conference hotel. Neat breakfast. Ideal for rail passengers. Tip: Superior rooms to the courtyard are quiet and recommended in summer. Hotel has no air conditioning, then you don't need it.

The location is perfect, near there is everything you need, even on the street do not need to go. From the reception side door leads directly to the station building, where there are eateries, McDonald's, 2 supermarkets, a giftshop, and a bunch of other shops.
The rooms are basic, clean, the bathroom is large and comfortable.
And also give a pass on all kinds of transport that is very convenient.

The location is excellent and the hotel is very close to the train station. Very helpful staff.

The staff is very friendly and nice. The rooms are functional and rather small, but for sleeping it is enough. Maybe something has come up in the years. The mattresses are a bit soft. Except for the bathroom mirror, the room was also clean.

Very good hotel with excellent location to be able to move to almost any part of Berlin. In addition to being inside a shopping center, it makes it easy to have options to eat or buy souvenirs. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, including housekeeping. It is definitely highly recommended for those who go to Berlin for pleasure, work or study.

The room was clean and functional, but not exactly spacious. The breakfast buffet is lush and tasted good. The staff was somewhat "Stoffelig" (unfriendly would be exaggerated). The location is really high and thanks to the perfect sound insulation, you really don't hear about the trains passing by-assuming you leave the windows closed.

Due to a connecting door to the adjoining room, I heard loud conversations every night and extremely loud snoring at night. The rooms to the courtyard are quiet, but actually (at least in room 230) No cell phone reception with T-Mobile, Vodafone and O2 (everything tested! NET: 2 out of 5 bars, data: Edge! ) — terrifically annoying. The free Wi-Fi is grottos slow! The curtains do not seal at all (see photo) — so you are awake unnecessarily early! The breakfast is quality okay, usual average.

Great location near the train station. The rooms at the courtyard are very quiet and you get nothing from the train station and the street. The rooms are attractively furnished. All the staff at the hotel friendly, especially the gentleman to welcome you at breakfast.

The hotel is fine, but I give only 2 because I feel cheated, they offered us tickets for 4 days, even teaching them that we had bought, they implied that they would be free, a courtesy of the hotel… The surprise was that by leaving the room we Charged.

Top location directly at Ostbahnhof, lots of shopping and quick restaurants right in the train station. Rooms of the size and cleanliness great, unfortunately without air conditioning. WLAN reception is to be expanded! Reception, checkin and checkout friendly and quick. Recommended.

The beds were comfotable and the room was quiet at night. It would have been nice to be able to control the thermostat in the room but it was never too warm or cold. The location is excellent, having access to the Ostbanhof and Berlin's mass transit system is a huge positive. The hotel also provides free city passes to access the trains and buses of Berlin.

Great stay! Restaurant was great! Enjoyed the weekend stay! Love the free public transportation provided by the hotel.

Hotel: Rooms, meeting rooms and food great.
Free baby equipment in the room (with prior registration) and an extra large room.
The bar is unfortunately underground uneconomical. The waitress hides in the kitchen while the guests are thirsty.
On the other evenings we were in greater company then prefer to drink outside.

Even if rooms are typical of a mid-range hotel, the services and the restaurant are amazing. Super highly professional staff, very accommodating to every whim. Breakfast buffet was great. I loved this hotel and its staff.

Pros: Handy location for exploring East Berlin, affordable, has bedside plug sockets, decent shower, plus free use of public transport within Berlin was an unexpected bonus (alas I'd already bought a 7-day pass). Cons: Rooms are rather basic, bathroom extractor fan didn't work so became humid, bed felt like a very firm foam block.

A utilitarian, no nonsense budget hotel. The location is convenient, being right on top of the train station. You also get a free transit ticket for the duration of your stay. It also has a surprisingly good breakfast buffet. The downside: Slow Wi-Fi, although it is free. You need to pay €8 per day for high speed access, but it wasn't really all that fast either, so not worth the expense. Toiletries are lacking. You get a squeeze bottle which is soap and shampoo all in one. Tip: The East Side Gallery (Berlin Wall) is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, so don't miss seeing it!

This is the best hotel possible if you are here to attend an event at Postbahnhof. The hotel is literally inside the Ostbahnhof station building. The rooms are spacious with a good bed size and good bathroom. It feels new and clean. The price is more than fair but the breakfast is not included. The Wi-Fi is free but just the slow connection mode. This is the only thing I think is crap, the free internet connection is useless. You'll have to pay if you want a good internet connection. One cool thing is that the hotel provides you with a free transit card for 3 days, that's quite cool. The connection with the Schönefeld Airport is very good, around 30 minutes.

Really affordable hotel located in the Ostbahnhof train and S-bahn station. We were a little early but we got access to a luggage storage room so we could explore Berlin without bags until our room was ready for checkin. The hotel gave us a travel card for free travel with all pubic transport within A, B and C zon valid for the whole stay. Finally at the room it was really fresh, including the bathroom — good cleaning as well. The only cons. Was the bed which was a little stiff and the air condition which probably wasn't dimensioned for the very hot days we had during our stay. Overall a really economic and good hotel with great possibilities to travel all over Berling within a few minutes walk thanks to its location.

Top location, at the train station, perfectly connected to travel through the city. Room booking includes a daily transport ticket. Wifi and parking place underground at only 4€/day. Breakfast kind of expansive, room is clean and includes Sky pay TV.

Advertise with W-Lan free of charge. The are there, but really Work is thus impossible. Wanted, the one a co-payment does, then better W-Lan. This is not a Service and completely behind the moon. FULLY-functioning, high-speed Internet is standard! The Breakfast is also 0815 and the rooms are noisy. Towels are also not tip top is exchanged. Equipment miserably in the rooms. One has except a closet not even drawers as storage space. Here is trying to save money wherever they can, and the room cost at the 100 Euro. Who this Hotel is not of the company gets paid, and it as a "Motel" look, you should take a big bow, to make.

Room size and sound insulation are sufficient. The Breakfast was also okay, only this liquid scrambled eggs is not my case. The accessibility is really excellent and in station you can also the most necessary shopping. What for me, however the image is very diminished was that the advertised free Wi-Fi was so slow that I could not even my emails. Furthermore, I had in my room, no cell phone reception. And with T-mobile. Also the Hotspot of the station was in the room not accessible. At the next visit, I will probably a different Hotel.

A very clean, almost sterile Hotel. Nice staff, very friendly and helpful, the only drawback is the air conditioning of the room that had not really worked well, otherwise it was great, the Breakfast buffet was also plentiful and good. For a short but beautiful Trip in the beautiful capital city, this Hotel is well recommended.

No free Wifi, but free ticket for public transport.

I got this Hotel for a weekend booked. The recommendation came through the travel Agency at home. The arrival of successes with the ICE, the Hotel is to the train station to leave. So perfect and easy. The staff is nice and accommodating, the rooms are well equipped and clean, but not very large. As you look but only to schalfen staying here is fine. For us the beds were separated, they were but slightly together (separate but also slightly back). The window we have closed left, otherwise you can hear the trains. The ventilation is good and you never had the "bad air feeling" (April 2013). The Breakfast (Buffet) is very good and leaves nothing to be desired (7-11 PM). At some times of the Restaurant is, however, very full. Very interresant is included in the room rate ticket for public transport. We have intensively used us all of Berlin by public transport can be explored. For me there is for this Hotel a clear recommendation! I would book again. The price performance ratio is very good. Only those who are really luxury sought, should be slightly different select. The railway station is around however, not much is happening. Only the East-Side Gallery is only about 200m away from the Hotel. In the station itself, there are during the day, but a lot of shopping.

Was now imsgesamt 4 weeks there and can really only recommend. Good rooms, top staff, Breakfast also good. You should only see that you don't necessarily need a room directly on the platform get. You hear hardly anything, but people with a light sleep could be perhaps perceived as disruptive. But what if we want nem Hotel IN the train station also expect differently. Nice is also, that you for the time of the stay there, a ticket for public transport. (At least, was the case with me. ) In the station itself, you will find 2 supermarkets, a drugstore, as well as some Fast-Food Restaurants. So everything on the spot what you need. And many attractions close to, but not really in the centre to live. All in all a clear recommendation on my part.

The Intercity Hotel Berlin is very easy to reach, always clean, the service is really good, it is my favorite hotel in the herzenBerlins, with the U S ubd train properly in the near and also ICE course, a number 1.
