Awesome location, beautiful rooms, and wonderful staff — first class the whole way! We spent two nights during a heat wave near 90 degrees. The room stayed cool and was a welcome relief from walking around enjoying the amazing town of Konstanz. No car needed, in fact cars are a pain you park and drive in the tight spaces, this is a biking town, the hotel has bikes for your use. The bus system is also impressive, free to use, clean and secure.

We did not stay at the hotel but just ate lunch at the restaurant. The location is amazing! Such a wonderful view acrose lake constance. The staff was very nice. Unfortunately the fod was not what I expected. My duck was too salty and very fat. Too bad.

The hotel has a unique location on the lake and is easily accessible. The friendly staff was particularly noticeable. The price-performance ratio is to be criticized. The wet cells hardly correspond to a 5-star hotel. And even with the windows closed, the music from the bar or the party noise penetrates.

Butiful hotel very nice workers. The only problem is you need a car or taxi to go anywere. Very peaceful and no noise at all.

My Boyfriend and I had booked 3 Nights. The Lake-view room is simply a Dream and clean! The Staff very friendly! The Building is beautiful. The Breakfast is not Varied, but you have a lot to Choose from, which was very fresh and very tasty!
We will definitely be back!

An excellent hotel with a fantastic lakeside location. Great rooms and a fantastic breakfast buffet. I was most excited by the old cloisters from the architectural side. You can feel the monastic past.

The location can not be better, right on the lake and Ditekt at the old town. Perfect. The breakfast on the sun terrace in the first row at the lake is fantastic. The staff at the hotel were very nice, uncomplicated and natural. We would have liked to stay a lot longer.

Interesting historic building, right at the lake. Decently sized and furnished rooms and very quiet at night. Wide selection of food and drinks for breakfast. Efficient and friendly staff.

I have visited countless hotels in my life — and I fell in love with only a few. The Island Hotel is now one of my old loves.
A house with a lot of class and charm. If you are not convinced, please visit the Zeppelin bar. Whom this still does not convince, which I do not help.

I have seen the terrace to the lake. Being there is uplifting. If you can still experience the friendly and courteous service and the light and fine food, then you are once again in the seventh heaven.

I attended a event at the zeppelin bar of the hotel, nice place to sit and have a drink, excellent service and very helpful staff.

Good food, very nice service in rustic atmosphere. Audience is more of an older generation. Unfortunately a high parking fee, which is half refunded, nevertheless not pleasant at these but upscale prices and longer stay! That's why a star deduction!

Very good location with beautiful panoramic views. Time management was Unprofessionel, we waited over two hours for the first main dish. In addition, there was a thick spider in the salad. Ugh!

Unfortunately, the reviews are not read and not commented. Every pro knows that critique is a chance to improve. And that in a "reputable" company?

Super Beautiful historic building in a great location on Lake Constance — Unfortunately the price does not fit for dinner. The food was good but not very good and unfortunately not really adequate, despite 3 course menu. What a pity!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean. Big Room and the Tesla I could also charge for free!

Wonderful wedding at the Steigenberger Inselhotel Konstanz!
WOW, just WOW! The event team (insb. Ms. Seitz), the kitchen (insb. Mr. Behr) and the service has outdone themselves absolutely! We have celebrated our wedding in the small and medium-sized Lake restaurant and on the terrace on a beautiful sunny Saturday in may 2016 — our guests, but above all we call bride and groom were overwhelmed! The location is unique, the management is top notch! Ms. Seitz was us already after the first contact with all their enthusiasm and their great organization talent available and you felt from the outset in the very best hands. The kitchen absolutely fulfilled all wishes and that the expectation of all surpassed just wonderful food. Our guests felt comfortable, and not only thanks to the friendly and very competent service (insb. Mr Buk). We can the Steigenberger Inselhotel not only tourists and locals for a stylish lunch or dinner before a breathtaking backdrop recommend, but above all bridal couples with claim, crazy, detail-loving brides and grooms, who themselves want to worry about the Organization of one perfect day.
What many service providers don't create — Steigenberger Inselhotel in Constance can it!

Great location, good value for money.

We had me a room lake view and balcony. Room and service was excellent. The menu and the service in the restaurant was also recorded.

The Service was really friends and nice at the Steigenberger Inselhotel. The meal was vergessen exciting and look as good as it tastes.

Extremely poor service by the front desk people. Steigenberger are a "premium" hotel, we were in a higher price room and still we were treated worse than in any 3 — star hotel I have been in. The quality of the product is high (good rooms, sauna and Turkish bath), but the service at the front desk is appalling. If I were in the hotel review board I would either fire the front desk manager or remove them 1 star from the classification. What a BIG disappointment.
