Our favorite hotel in Germany. We have been taking small groups to southern Germany since 2007 and of all the great places we visit the Hotel Schiffmeister and the Königsee are always at the top of the evaluations we receive.
The location was great, but other than that, it was an ok experience. We booked last minute and the price was right, and the hotel owner was surprised we got that rate. The room size was great, and we lucked out by getting the family room. It helps when you have a little baby and we could put him to sleep in one room while relaxing in the other room. Cribs were an extra 15euros. With such a large room though, the washroom was extremely small. The stand up shower was the smallest I've ever seen in my life so that was an interesting experience. The building must be really old as the whole floor was creeking extremely loudly, and with a young baby, any sound will wake him up, so I was not happy about that. Breakfast was adequate. Stay here for location, otherwise there's better hotels to stay at!
