Very nice staff! Good breakfast. Hotel with facilities a bit old, but it's still okay. Price — performance is all right! Good location in Passau, unfortunately no parking.

A super nice staff! Helpful and reliable! Our boat trip was cancelled, and we took advantage of the pleasant wellness! Since our return journey was very early, we each got a packed lunch and 2 pots of coffee. Just a pleasant team, thanks again! The rooms are also very nice, the breakfast great, an elevator is available, a room to linger with books and games! The wellness area can be used for a small fee! Sauna for free, massage table 12 euros for 20 minutes! A bubble tub also per filling 12 euros!

What a great find! This was an awesome boutique hotel with beautifully appointed, modernized rooms in a great location just across the street from the Danube. So easy to walk to the city center! Terrific breakfast with the nicest, most attentive staff! We loved eating outside on the front patio while watching the cruise ships float by! Great value for the cost! We’ve stayed in many hotels and this was a terrific value for the price. Loved, loved, loved it. We were driven to our ship when it was time to board the cruise.

A great hotel! I would particularly like to mention the excellent valet parking. We felt very comfortable and will not choose any other accommodation in Passau.

5+ stars for this wonderful Riverside retreat. The rooms are immaculate and stocked with essentials. The staff are friendly, speak English, and more than accommodating. One thing that stuck out to me was when I was sitting in the lovely canopied garden, the staff asked me if I needed anything by name. It's the little things like this and more you can expect from this fine establishment. Bravo!

This gorgeous hotel is an absolute little diamond! Their suites are individually designed and are absolutely darling! Their junior suite with the private roof deck is magical, overlooking the Danube with the beautiful Veste Oberhaus fortress just above on the other side of the river! … We spent an amazing evening on the terrace sipping the complimentary prosecco, while enjoying the view, and the night air. Our reception was also flawless, with service on par with some of the best international 5 star brands. The attention to detail is out of this world. Wunderbar!

Very nice hotel in Passau located right on the Danube centrally in the old town. Well run, familiar with quite a lot of extras, good breakfasts, very good beds.
Our room was facing the Danube and was a bit louder in the evening and a bit dark overall. However, these disadvantages were minor and could not significantly affect the overall positive impression.
Shuttle service for Phoenix river ship travelers; Plenty of reading for reading rats; Close to the ascent to the Veste House of Lords. To the shuttle bus up; Small terrace facing the Danube; Small parking lot right in front of the house; elevator;

From the inside much nicer than from the outside: Directly on the Danube, rather quiet location, but very central. Nice rooms, modern and cozy. Rich Breakfast. Fast Wi-Fi. And the little sauna is a dream! We like to come again, thanks for the nice time.

A family run hotel with attention to detail excellent service with sufficient breakfast. The hotel room very cozy with kettle for coffee and tea! Fruit and a bottle of water.
The living rooms beautifully decorated! The dog Klara so sweet.

Nice hotel in the best location. The staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and as described. The bed was also super comfortable. The only point of criticism would be parking in the hotel's garage, which is very cramped. However, no one can do anything for this, since the cars nowadays are simply grown and of course the spatial conditions in an old town are naturally limited accordingly. Absolutely recommended from our side. We were here during the Christmas season, and the Christmas market as well as the whole old town are beautiful. The breakfast was also very good.

Wonderful and cosy hotel directly on the Danube and in the old Town area large and very tastefully furnished rooms. Noble bathroom. Comfortable and large beds. Very clean. Homely breakfast area with sufficient choice of regional products and specialties. Great idea of free afternoon tea/cakes in the Kuschligen library. Veeery friendly staff. There is a passenger/luggage shuttle to the train station and to the Arosashuttlebussen at very favorable conditions. We really felt very welcome and well kept. Thanks to all the staff:)

Great location right on the inn. Very kompetenes and friendly staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. Very good quality breakfast.

A very nice 4-star hotel located in the middle of Passau on the Danube. Very nice and competent staff. Very rich breakfast. The price-performance ratio is in every case. After our cruise on the Danube we will see you again! Wonder why the hotel has only 4 stars!

Pretty nice place. It's old looking outside but with modern rooms. It's a hip place. My only problem was the configuration of the rooms. They are small, and while efficient designs, there are some annoying things like how tiny the bathroom is and an oddly annoying luggage table that's in the way of the door, so you will bump into it a lot.

This hotel is a little piece of Heaven! No attention to detail has been missed. As soon as you walk through door you feel good Karma. Scented candles are placed strategically & the beautiful aromas hit your senses straight away. The decor is so beautiful. Lovely little touches are placed in your room for your arrival one of which is a cute little rubber duck in the bathroom for your bath. I loved This! The beds are very comfortable & we slept very peacefully all night. The view of the Danube from our window was so lovely. The hotel only has a breakfast room but the lovely staff pointed us to a fantastic restaurant about 100 feet away where we enjoyed a fabulous meal and atmosphere. Breakfast was one of the best I have found abroad. The choice was overwhelming and the quality was first class. The hotels resident Dachound Clara was there to check us out & she is simply adorable. You can't beat a cuddle from a furry friend to set you up for the day when you're away from your own Fur Babies! This really is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. Thank you Hotel Residenz for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic suite with private sauna and very friendly staff. Bed was very comfortable and the suite had a well equipped kitchen. Would definitely stay in the Jr suite again!

We stayed here for one night before starting a cycling tour down the Danube and really liked the feel of the hotel which is located right on the river. Our room was a good size and had a view over the Danube. The breakfast was really good and one of the best we have had away on this trip. The one thing we would have liked was a room with one bed, not two singles especially as we are newly engaged. Would recommend staying here.

During our tour of Europe we stayed at a number of Hotels's all rated 4 stars by Trip Advisor. Only one was worthy of the rating and that is Hotel Residenz. This hotel exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was excellent as is the room. The only complaint I would have is the hardness of the mattress and pillow. The location of the hotel is prime water front and our room directly overlooked the Danube. My wife and I think this is the best by far. We now measure all of our stays against the Hotel Residenz.

5 stars is not enough for the Residenz. The room was quiet as a mouse for sleeping, the bed was most comfortable and the view of the river and the Fortress on the hill from the room was delightful. 112, 115 are both great rooms. Being able to walk to the many restaurants was great. (But why would you when there is a great one in house. ) Make sure you get a book on the town, there is more to see than you can pack into a day. The breakfast was fantastic, every small detail was taken into account. Sitting on the balcony looking over the river was very relaxing. The coffee was not a one cup affair but a stainless steel jug on your table so you can top up. (I had 3 cups from the jug) If your tired after walking through the day, return for a drink and rest. The staff were faultless and went the extra mile. We went on a cruise for a week and when we returned they remembered where we were going and asked about the trip. It felt like we had come home. The building itself was also fascinating, there is a room for relaxing or catching up with visitors which contains books, photos and pieces of interest. At the entrance there are umbrellas in case the weather turns. Put the Residez and Passau on the top of your must visit list. A very generous Hotel in a Surprising town.

Really lovely hotel on the riverside. Friendly staff, great breakfast. Comfortable and clean rooms with the welcome addition of tea/coffee making facilities and air-con. Parking available at a small fee in a covered parking garage. Well placed for exploring the town and sightseeing. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend the hotel to others.

Great hotel, right on the Danube. Make sure to ask for a river front room to watch the river boat traffic. Walking distance to the major city attractions. Take in an organ recital at the Dom each day at Noon.
