One of the elevators was broken so the second one was very busy. The hotel has a very good location in the city center and is overall very pretty and fancy. Would recommend if you can afford it.

The Welcome Hotel in Darmstadt makes a rather simple impression from the outside, but is quite nicely furnished inside.
It is practical that the hotel has its own area in a public parking garage located directly below the hotel and from there you can take the elevator or optionally via the stairwell directly to the reception, or to the higher floors, where the rooms are located.

Both on the phone and at the personal meeting, the reception staff was always friendly.

At least my room didn't have a minibar, I don't necessarily need it, but I think that one should not be missing at a 4-star hotel.

Otherwise, the rooms can be seen. They are modernly furnished, have a spacious bathroom with shower, quite a large TV and on arrival in the room there are already two free bottles of water provided by the hotel.

But what I didn't like at all, and there was the star's pull, was a big brownish spot on one of the two bed sheets. This must definitely not happen at a 4-star hotel! The otherwise good and clean impression of the room was clearly affected by the stain.

All in all, The stay at the Welcome Hotel was well assured and I would stay again in one of the Welcome Hotels.

Well-placed hotel. Near the Technical University of Darmstadt, practically in the center. Not very close to the station. Assorted good breakfast morning.

A very good hotel — rooms are in great condition and well equipped, the breakfast is delicious. There are no problems with noise, so a quiet sleep is also guaranteed. Especially suitable for overnight stays at conferences due to its location in the centre of Darmstadt.

Excellent breakfast, very nice location, friendly staff and a nice clean room with a nice view stood out during our stay. Very good value for the money added to the enjoyment, I would highly recommend your hotel!

Nice hotel at the center of the city. Nice rooms, friendly staff and a great breakfast buffet in the morning. The airliner bus from Frankfurt airport drops you off right next to it. Also close to lots of eateries etc.

Giving two stars just because of the pillows. Can't even move my head, got a really bad neck, also the Deco in the room is awful. The amenities are very good, breakfast was ok. The spa area is great, the staff in the restaurant can't smile, however, the receptionists are very friendly and helpful.

The room was 'okay'. I was in a suite and it was just a basic room. The bathroom smelled of dirty pipes. Upon check in, I was told breakfast was included but when I checked out, I was told that it was not included and that I owed 75EUR. This is unacceptable. I won't stay here again.

Nice hotel with decent breakfast. Rooms are reasonable size, however bathrooms are shower only. The choice of soap and shampoo is limited to a bottle on the wall, and the shower is not as powerful as the showers at the Maritim Konferenz. Some distance from the train station means taxis are a necessity for the business traveller.

Great hotel, central location, would have been 5 stars but they charged for non existent Wi-Fi.

This hotel has probably the best location in Darmstadt as it has a nice park next to it and city center is a few steps away. Rooms have plenty of space, are clean and quiet. Breakfast is very good, with a nice buffet and served in a pleasant room with a view to the park. Bar and restaurant are good. Friendly staff.

Very flexible check in/out and a parking garage directly at the hotel round off the whole thing.
The deductions in the B-note are unfortunately due to the dreary view of the lower room category.

The Hotel is very conveniently located, I would think. Right by the castle, and with enough possibilities around the corner. The staff was very friendly, especially a very funny lady from the Breakfast Service has sweetened the morning with a few jokes. Speaking of Breakfast: it was quite good. In most cases, the Breakfast in all Hotels the same, here there are a few additional things, such as, for example, fried Champions and such. I can not complain now. Ah! But! One thing: there was no mini bar and not have the opportunity in the house to come to a nightcap. It was a great pity.

It was unfortunately only 2 nights, but I enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very good. The room (I had caught by upgrading a suite) is very modern equipped, cozy and quiet.

I am very happy with the entire hotel. The room was fine, the service and friendliness of the staff excellent. The breakfast was also good. And the central location is also very good.

Hotel very well. Breakfast very good but very bad experience at the hotel restaurant. 45 minutes to get an unfortunate salad in a bag with two bits of salmon. Waitresses totally outdated.

Clean and great location. If you get a room with a double bed, keep in mind that it will be 2 twins in a diuble frame. I found this not the best for sleeping. Their pillows were super squishy down. I like firm pillows, so I needed to combine the cushion in the closet and pillows.

General impression, condition/cleanliness of the rooms, staff, breakfast, bistro Moller; Everything is almost perfect. I don't know spontaneously a single suggestion for improvement. The hotel is always the first choice for me when travelling to Darmstadt.

Avarage night was EUR 107, — — plus breakfast EUR 20, 00 plus parking 15, — — makes 143 EUR / Night, like a 5star hotel. What I've got was that: — shower head fell down — door knab fell down — 2 bulbs did not work (no light at the right side) — one (of 2) elevator did not work which made us wait ages to get a ride — Staff not friendly at all — smoked 2 cigarettes from the window outside, there was surely no smoke in the room, but was charged EUR 150, 00 to allegedly make the room "smokefree" again, which was surely a spray costing them 0, 15 EUR to do so, a ridiculous way of ripping off… To get all that we had to pay 3 months ahead… no way I wanna stay there again…

Solid Conference Hotel. Usually a lot of operation. Breakfast good. Lunch at meetings is buffet style. The meeting rooms I. O. However, something badly cut (not very wide, but long). Technology satisfactory. Sauna €5 extra charge. More than enough parking facilities in the (public) underground car park.

Big room and very comfortable. Very friendly personnel at the front desk. The internet is free. Unfortunately, I had some issues with the connection which was slowing down.

Meanwhile, the Welcome hotel in Darmstadt has become something like my "second home". The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good.
I am looking forward to the next stay.

The ambiance in the hotel is very appealing and soothing. I was able to book a double room as a single room and had a fabulous view of the Karolinen Square and the Hessian state Archives just outside my window. The staff were very friendly and looked after all my needs. I really do recommend the hotel.

I always like to come to this hotel. The staff are extremely friendly, the rooms clean and equipped with all the important amenities, the food super delicious, and also the location is top!

The hotel is easily accessible, very tidy and attractively equipped and unbeatably conveniently located for events in the Darmstadtium. The only Wermutstrpfen is the very poor Internet connection. This should be standard today in all rooms and not only in conveniently located.

Great location is visiting near by organisations or University. Welcoming (excuse the pun) and very help staff. Parking available nearby at Quark. Restaurant had good food and a nice relaxing atmosphere.

3rd hotel I have stayed at in Darmstadt and by far the best room. Super spacious. No AC, but it was only warm my first night. Friendly staff. My first room smelled Smokey and they switched me to a different room quickly and trouble free. Nice laid back staff in the restaurant, but the food is just ok. Walking distance to the main square with lots of other eating options.

We, 2 adults, 2 small dogs, needed a place to stay for one week, before moving into our new home. The location of the hotel is great. We had asked for a quiet room and got nr. 459. When I made the reservation by phone, the lady did NOT make me aware of the construction site just behind the hotel. There was no room available that was better suited, so we stayed in 459. It would have been nice to get a little "sorry", say a voucher for breakfast or such.

Totally enjoyed the stay at Welcome Hotel. It is a very spacious hotel with all the facilities available in the room and room service is also good. A Big Thumbs UP.

Fantastic Hotel immersed in the University center of the country. Fine finishes and large and cozy hall. Clean rooms (as always in Germany) and friendly staff.

Our entire experience from booking to checkout was excellent. We were travelling as a family group and my husband is confined to a wheelchair and requires an accessible bathroom. We were very well looked after from my very first questions about room set up and provisioning and layout of the bathroom, through to the end of our stay. This was our first hotel experience that was truly comfortable for my husband which means he will likely be less reluctant to travel in future. That is no small thing and I thank you Welcome Hotels Darmstadt!

Parking a bit expensive.

Comfortable, clean and good service. Location is excellent.

We had two nights in the hotel and unfortunately had both days (Friday and Saturday) in the evening to the restaurant. We had booked a flat-rate, where a three-course meal it was. We had this meal with the staff to 'bring about discuss'. There's no coupon and no list on which we would have been.
That same weekend, a larger group of Lion Club guests was present. The breakfast coffee was all! And by the way the juice also. One must imagine even that. A hotel that has no coffee for breakfast.
Rooms to the West are loud, students up early in the morning around 5:00 draw loud through the streets. The Internet in the room is good in the level and speed — but you can not build a vpn to a remote host. There are probably issues with the IP address that constantly changes.
Otherwise, the staff is friendly and sought.

Hotel operating OK. But amazingly small rooms. Placing of the case represents a geometric problem.
The staff was very friendly. However, we — a 4-member family — were ignored in the bistro for over 30 minutes. Took 4 drinks incl. Pay over 1 hour. After intense discussions, the vouchers for the Welcome drinks were accepted.
Catering unakzetabel — no food in the bistro, the cake sour cream. I can't believe.
Striking closely — lead extremely short parking parking garage to conspicuously narrow streets.
Location is very convenient in the middle of Darmstadt.

Good location, spacious room. The staff could be more helpful, Wi-Fi was disappointing, breakfast was very expensive, no natural mineral water in the mini bar, the cleaning crew did't through the garbage. We asked for a double bed but we had to singles pressed together and the covers of the bed were singles as well.

All top. Only the wellness area was not in order. Unfortunately only a sauna was open and it was too little.

The situation of the hotel is excellent, the rooms well appointed and very comfortable, the staff is always very considerate and makes efforts to be fast and efficient. In general the price-quality ratio is good, although sometimes not get the best deals. For me, it's my first choice when I have to travel to Darmstadt.

In this Hotel everything is just perfect. Service, catering and rooms to earn the best grade. I only had on arrival, the Problem of the underground car Park to find. The entrance is a bit away from the Hotel, so at the reservation to be informed on.

I have stayed here in total about 20 times, at a frequency of about 5-6 times per year. The rooms have a simple modern design and are clean. Excellent beds and bedlinen. Furniture is comfortable. Most rooms do not have a bath; most only have a shower. No big surprises, however also nothing extremely special; do not expect a high level luxury. There are some nice 'friendly' extra's, like a complimentary bottle of mineral water and some nuts (small snack) before bedtime. However what is highly disappointing it that these are for the first night only. Even the times when I stayed for 2 weeks, these were NOT replenished. The same is for most of the amenities. The impression that I got is that the hotel management is too overly cost-concious. Breakfast has a good selection, incl. Nice freshly baked bread. However I was not asked one time, if I preferred an omelet which is part of the breakfast selection. Often the plates are taken away too quickly when eating during breakfast, without even being asked. The bistro/bar is nice and service is friendly.

Event participants will get a free access to Wi-Fi, although you already have the entry fee also charge a fee for the use of the infrastructure of the hotel have paid. The Central location increases the time Of arrival and departure. The Parking is not only for event participants but also for hotel guests for a fee.

I stayed for a week and a half and it was a good experience. Hotel staff is friendly and courteous. The food is really good and reasonable. Breakfast has a lot of varieties. Lunch buffet through our company was amazing. I look forward to coming back here. There is a nice beergarten closeby.

Actually, we have directly following the very unfriendly reception of the Hotel to leave, but had no other choice, since it's already after 23: 00. When we finally, after a minutes-long procedure of the personal recording (similar, I imagine the police recording in a Verbrecherkartei), where our rooms were, we were very surprised, as the room size can go hand in hand with a 4-star classification! Only the perfect location to downtown made the Hotel attractive to us.

Location, staff and room were good, the bathroom even very good (room 105). It is a shame that the Hotel does not have free Parking. The attached garage is very practical; however, there is no free Park facility. With an Overnight fall of more than EUR 20 charge for Parking, which for a business hotel to be very impractical.

It's very nice place and very delicious breakfast. I stayed there for one month with average 89 EURO per day, but just could get 1 bottom of free water during one month. The city water tastes so bad. It's ok to be not so stingy I think.

As a foreign visitor of a Darmstadt company, I'm required to stay at the Welcome hotel, and have stayed there numerous times — out of necessity. Its not a hotel I would go back to if I had better choices. The staff are "relatively" ok but generally have an attitude that they're mostly doing us a favor whether its the reception, restaurant or house keeping. Restaurant/bar is decent, and the food is good although the choices are very few. Service is slow but the staff make a good effort. Housekeeping is the worst — totally unpredictable. I have to remind them keep soap, coffee, sugar, water etc. I dont know if its hotel policy but they will give you a free bottle of still water when you arrive, and a 3 euro bottle of sparkling. The still water is never replaced, but the sparkling is replaced daily. I have to call EVERY DAY and request water and they will bring it for free. Cheap policy to make you pay for the water. Other amenities being replaced is a hit or miss. And this I noticed during every stay. Parking is convenient, but expensive. Gym is a sad small room with 3-4 machines such as a treadmill, elliptical, bike and something else. No weights. Wifi is free for 2 devices, but you have to login on a daily basis through an annoying process (bring your airport if you want to connect more than 2 devices). Location is great since its just a 5 min walk to the city center. Overall, if you're used to good service hotels, you'll be irritated by this hotel.

Wheelchair-accessible Hotel rooms are very good for me in a wheelchair, eat Breakfast, etc very well. But if you are in the Morning from a very ill-humoured lady in the Breakfast area pejorative is treated. Makes the bad mood and the runs over the whole Hotel. First she looked at the clock, because it's only around 7:00 am Breakfast there and it was 6:50 p. M. And then a schnippische remark tossed aside, if I do not know. Then I should at my seat and my room number to enter, rather than that they help me with would have been. Already the reception was not very friendly. Rooms a bit small, glass wall to the bathroom distracting light in the night. By location to Karolinenplatz and to the street very loud.

Its damned good the breakfast is great and staff are helpful and polite and friendly — wonderful location the city was totally wiped out on 9/11 1944 by our bombers but from this place it takes two hours to see the beautifully reconstructed centre — highly recommended.

Worst hotel ever. Horrible service, ridiculously overpriced. Probably worth less than 50 cents a day.

Come at Darmstadt visit always here since the disabled rooms are just top! Breakfast and meals are also absolutely recommended. Dishes on the buffet were filled up immediately on request, or even an own plate you got brought afterward. Despite slight deductions at the service, because our credit card has been charged for resending forgotten items specially again. Until the next time in Darmstadt.

Welcome hotel perfectly placed with respect to the nearby (~50m) conference centre. Hotel clean and comfortable, although pillows very soft. Shower fantastic, and air conditioning also great. Left my cell-phone in my room, and hotel posted it back to me immediately without charge. Would definitely stay here again — thoroughly recommended.
