A dessert food appetizer menu that is worth it as well as the setting and staff. A chic atmosphere and modern, refined and local cuisine! Excellent.

Excellent surprise that this restaurant located a stone's throw from Claude Monet's garden. Very nice terrace. Veal rice to die for and lamb sublimely cooked.

Warm welcome and very respectful of the standards in these difficult times.
Sumptuous and especially delicious dishes as we have rarely tasted.

One of our favourite restaurants… The team is very dynamic and really friendly, the atmosphere is warm in, and sweet, and very nice outside (Giverny…), and the chef is a really nice young man and extremely talented. The menu is short, with fresh local products worked with art and originality, all lightness. The plates are always really nicely prepared, and you always find a vegetarian option!
Frankly we recommend with your eyes closed, you can only have a great time!

Innovative cuisine based on local and seasonal produce. A passionate kitchen brigade and a welcoming team in the dining room. The place is decorated with finesse for a warm and authentic atmosphere. I would come back with great pleasure.

Takeaways are a very good alternative, c is really well thought out with the little explanatory note that goes well, the recipe to make it yourself, the dishes are really good and fine always this characteristic of aromas and flavours, all in environmentally-friendly packaging… bravo.

A nice little Hotel / Restaurant tucked away in Giverny. Stumbled upon this gem while visiting the Claude Monet Foundation and it was a pleasant surprise. Great views, open air seating and friendly staff. Did I mention the food was great as well? They have ample free parking as well on site. Didn't get a chance to stay in the hotel but it is something I definitely want to try during my next visit to Giverny.

Hotel very well located with free parking. Staff has the listen. Flat for the restaurant which is good but expensive for the quantity (taken salted patties. Maybe the menu is more advantageous)

This is a lovely restaurant by Claude Monet gardens and home. Good there was surpringly excellent! I picked a smoked salmon crepe, Ron picked a ham and Emmenthal crepe. We both added a green salad. It was so delicious that despite its very large portion we ate everything! The crepes are made with Sarrazin flour (dark whole wheat). All ingredients are high quality, fresh and dishes are pretty, well-balanced.

I was fine: the room was huge, the bathroom a good size, bed and pillows comfy, I also ate well at the restaurant of the hotel. Positive experience.

I think good place. It's caming compare to in front of Monet's garden which are clouded. Acceptable price and kind.

Good quality, crêpe is very tasty! We wait a little longer and the restaurant serves desert before main dish. But they correct it by returning the desert and serve it later after the main dish!

This is a small hotel with 10 rooms in a large 19th century house a short walk from Monet's house and gardens. It also has a restaurant with a patio. We spent Ascension Thursday at the hotel and this is the start of a 4-day weekend in France. Needless-to-say, the restaurant was extremely busy both at lunch and at dinner but they were very well staffed and we had a wonderful dining experience. Our room was a bit on the compact side with an en suite bathroom shoehorned into an old closet but it was perfectly fine: quiet, clean, and comfortable. The windows opened to permit a welcome breeze. Breakfast was expensive at €11 per person but was good with the usual buffet: coffee, juices, eggs hardboiled and scrambled, croissants, etc… It is served in a second dining room. I have no reservations about recommending both the hotel and the restaurant. There is ample free parking for guests which was a relief given how crowded the village was. Unrelated to the hotel, I would strongly recommend that one do their best to avoid busy days if you are visiting Monet's Gardens — Foundation Monet makes no attempt to restrict the number of visitors and the entire estate was absolutely stuffed with shuffling visitors standing cheek by jowl. Because we bought our tickets months in advance, we only had to queue about 10 minutes before joining the fray — those who had to buy tickets at the gate first had to endure a very very long standing queue on the street.

Creperie, salad. 16 a €18 salad. Almost € 2, is the price of a menu, even if the salad is fresh. I found the pancake not bad but bland flavorless chicken. The same goes for the cream burned, just the taste of caramel grilled on top. The setting is friendly on the terrace and pleasant staff.

Passing through Normandy, my family and I visited Giverny these last Easter holidays. We come from Alsace, a lovely area, very touristy and especially renowned for its sense of hospitality and gastronomy.
It was en route to Britain we did this halt, eager to discover the magnificent House of Claude Monet. We were not disappointed: flowers out of sight, China Bridge, a decorated home with style.
Giverny, a paradise for lovers of painting but the nightmare of the taste buds and wallet!
On Sunday night, everything is closed, except for Texas, "salad and creperie", specialist of the traditional cuisine. I don't know if it's a real salad, but I know that it tells you salads. Exorbitant prices: the drinks almost as expensive as in the capital, a simple ball of ice to € 4, a chopped steak fried identical to the one that can be found in an Autogrill, and if you ever want to spice up your meat with a sauce, it takes an extra € 3 if I remember correctly. A few pancakes, (sugar-ball vanilla € 7 type) a steak Haché, water, half a litre of cider later. Almost €80 in total, and without the impression of eating quality food.
I used to frequent in Strasbourg a charming pizzeria, where an unusual poster caught my attention: it advocated respect for fair prices, otherwise the restaurateur kills his own craft. The harmony is a typical example. It feels the attempt of business around Monet reeks.

I really wanted to believe this to be the place to stay in Givegny. Really. How disappointed I was! the rooms are lacking in so many ways. Water pressure is weak, there are no electrical outlets in the rooms (make sure you've got battery power). The Wi-Fi is weak and slow. The beds feel like a pullout couch. Bad backs beware! the staff is unfriendly, the menu — although extensive — lacks imagination and they close the place down tight at 10pm. I mean they close everything! there is nothing to do in this little town after "lights out". Felt like I was at summer camp. My advice — after you've seen the gardens and gallery, drive an extra 15 minutes down the road to La Roche-Guyon. It's a nice little place with choices and life after dark.
